I thought the 2 week wait was bad, anyone else in first 12 weeks?

Hi all

I'm about 5 mins pregnant (4 weeks) very excited but also terrified. I'm not generally a worrier but I'm just so desperate to get to 12 weeks, I also can't wait to share the news.

I wondered if anyone else is in the same boat who would like to chat here until there 12 weeks is up? I found it quite comforting on the ttc board to keep returning to the same thread.

Also wondering who you have told and what your experience was like? My DH was over the moon but I've regretted telling my line manager, she's very sensible and said things like don't tell anyone else (I wasn't planning to) and that miscarriage rates are much higher than I think - this hasn't helped my worry! I only told her because I had some flights coming up that I wanted to change to train journeys and I thought I'd just be honest about needing time off for appointments.

Anyway I'm rambling, mostly it would be nice to ask those of you in the same position questions like how you are planning to cover non drinking at big events etc

It would be nice to 'meet' some fellow pregnant ladies Smile

Well done Doctor. I won't lie. It's very very hard to get on that couch. I was shaking and crying before I'd even taken my trousers off and in bits afterwards. I wandered through London in a daze in the wrong direction for quite a long time! But you can do it. We'll all virtually hold your hand. X

Teaching123 · 05/02/2015 17:46

I don't feel sick today. First day in weeks. So have been very upset thinking it's a sign, the

Teaching123 · 05/02/2015 17:47

Oops... The worry is awful. No one knows what you're going through - except all of us. Xx

CluelessDil · 05/02/2015 20:24

How far along are you teaching? I keep thinking I should do a little roll call of how far along we all are then we can congratulate each other when we make it to 12 weeks! I'm pretty sure there will still be worry after 12 weeks but I'm ignoring that for now!

Will be thinking about you tomorrow doctordonna. Positive thoughts being sent your way!

In other news I thought I had a bit of nausea this morning but the way those of you with sickness describe it I think I'd know all about it! On Sunday I'll be 6 weeks. This feels like a nervy milestone for some reason- really want to get past 8 weeks (& beyond)

As I'm wittering on, DH and I were talking about how amazing it will be to tell people but also how odd it will be that it's not our secret anymore!

Really wishing I'd found this thread earlier.
Another nervy one here.
I know some of you from other threads :)

Hi all! I'm 7+4 today.

CluelessDil · 05/02/2015 22:42

You know when people say - they don't tell you about the ...... they really Don't tell you about the nerves and worry of the first 12 weeks

In part I blame the internet but then without the net I wouldn't have lots of people to share my concerns with!

Treaclepie19 · 06/02/2015 07:25

Hiya Mrsevans :)
Only just joined to say hi.
How are you getting on?

lovesmycake · 06/02/2015 07:39

I'm 10+5 today and off on holiday for a week tomorrow. I'm starting to feel like I'm on the home straight to getting the scan (17th Feb) and checking everything is ok Confused. I'm still throwing up every day and exhausted so there had better be a baby in there!!

So nice to have somewhere to acknowledge how far along I am. Congratulations everyone else for making it to another Friday Cake

DrDonna thinking of you today and also alien hope you get some answers.

Mumwannabe82 · 06/02/2015 09:39

Hey treaclepie Smile Smile nice to see you and everything is ok xx

WasWebb81 · 06/02/2015 11:32

7 + 4 today (assuming all is well). Feel completely normal apart from slightly sore boobs (which isn't unusual for me anyway). DH wants to tell some friends this eve, but feel like a complete fraud. He said last night I wasn't excited enough, but it's just so surreal, I don't feel like I can be until I've had some proof!

Keep googling 'no symptoms' 'symptoms disappearing' (they are def less than when I was two mins pregnant) and 'missed miscarriage'.

Someone smack me in the face please! If someone could just tell me I was definitely pregnant and it was progressing I'd feel so much better, because generally I feel great so should be happy about that, but no symptoms doesn't help the worry!

Arrggghh! :)

Happy Friday all xx

MrsEvansAlmost · 06/02/2015 11:57

treaclepie I'm good, morning sickness has found me! that and constant nausea! I've got my booking in appt next week but I keep thinking that they will tell Mr I've made the pregnancy up! paranoid it's all in my head!!

how are you doing? x

Treaclepie19 · 06/02/2015 13:00

Hi mum :)

Oh no Mrsevans :(
Still no morning sickness for me. Just major food aversion.
I had the same before my scan, i was sure they would say "of course you're not pregnant!"

I'm ok thanks. Very nervous but telling myself this food aversion and tiredness is due to pregnancy.

anroga · 06/02/2015 13:49

I feel just the same girls, I will be 6 weeks on Monday, apart from feeling exhausted and having a heavy nosebleed during the night once that is all I have at the moment. Got cramps but think that is the last of my hyperstimulation.

My first early scan for a heartbeat is on the 19th and I am just willing the days along except I know the night before I will be petrified that there won't be anything there like you say treacle

I even did ANOTHER pregnancy test this morning ha ha! Nice strong cross though so that was nice!

This is worse than the 2 week wait in my book!

x

DoctorDonnaNoble · 06/02/2015 14:01

15 minutes until DH picks me up to go for scan and I'm sick with nerves. I know we can handle it whatever happens as we coped with the MMC, but I still feel sick to my stomach. I'm glad I haven't had to wait until the '12 week' scan (actually will be 13 weeks!). I just know I'm going to burst into tears any second now and I'm still in school! Sad

GoooRooo · 06/02/2015 14:03

Good luck DoctorDonna, I'll be thinking of you x

lovesmycake · 06/02/2015 14:06

DoctorDonnaNoble · 06/02/2015 16:01

Scan done. Heart heart there. Very relieved! Now to try and get through my PT session!

Treaclepie19 · 06/02/2015 16:07

Congrats again doctordonna :)

Teaching123 · 06/02/2015 16:10

That's great drdonna! Waswebb I know exactly how you mean. My nausea has disappeared and I'm absolutely shitting it now.

I'm 6+6. Early scan tomorrow at 11am. Excited, but very very nervous!

DoctorDonnaNoble · 06/02/2015 16:29

Good luck Teaching!

CluelessDil · 06/02/2015 17:11
