Think it would be really cool to keep up a thread with ladies due around the same time and we can all discuss our daily problems and have a good bitch! Something to pass the oh so agonising days and see how people's pregnancies are progressing compared to eachothers (so we can get really jealous when they go into labour lol) x

Hi I'm not expecting til August. So I'm really new to this pregnancy lark. I'm 9 going on 10 weeks now and I'm suffering big time with morning (all day) sickness. Just wanted to know how you guys were with morning sickness, when it stopped, are there any tricks and also how did you feel afterwards? Every pregnant lady or new mum I see, I want to stop and ask them , how do you feel now? Did you ever feel normal again? Is nausea worse than been really far gone and ready to pop? Also, if you are a mum already, how do you feel after birth?
Sorry to interrupt your chat area with all these questions but I could do with a bit of guidance from some more experienced people.
Thanks
Sam x

Congrats pp she's lovely Flowers
Hi Sam!
In regard to the morning sickness thing, I think mine kicked in about 8 weeks and unfortunately stayed put til about 22 weeks, it was horrible, not quite as bad as some poor ladies get it though. My doctor prescribbed me anti histamines to see if they'd work but never did. I always find I had to force myself to eat it the mornings and eating little and often helped, I would always be sick when I started to get hungry so tried to avoid getting hungry. I've had a couple of times that I've been sick in the past few weeks and as recent as last week & that was from waking up hungry. Hope this helps! X

Still here, still pregnant! 39+3 now. Had my first baby at 39+1 so was kinda expecting it would have happened by now! Pretty fed up

ShoeJunkie · 25/01/2015 22:24

Still here too!

Congratulations mom4!

sam - can't really help with the morning sickness as I was lucky not to suffer in either pregnancy. As for how you are after birth, I remember feeling a bit shell shocked for a few days (soreness, hormones, no sleep and milk coming in prob didn't help!) but it's surprising how quick you adjust to life with a baby. Accept all offers of help, meals etc though! Good luck!

bigfam · 26/01/2015 06:03

Hi ladies I am due in 2 weeks and finding these last weeks a bloody struggle ! I am huge as most of us are but I am having a giant baby (8lb @ 36 wks) and extra fluid ! There is talk of an induction around 39wks but I wont hold my breath as they keep changing there frigging minds !!
Anyone else struggling to sleep , thinking every twinge is labour ? x

araminem · 26/01/2015 08:13

I didn't have morning sickness, so cannot help you there. But if I didn't eat small portions constantly in the first trimester I would feel nauseous.

AS for here, I started feeling some contractions yesterday, but when I move around they stopped so I am guessing they are only Braxton Hicks. Nights have been quite disturbed though (not helped with my husband coming down with the flu last week!). I am in week 39 so hoping that things happen relatively soon!

FTRsGotAShinyNewNN · 26/01/2015 10:23

Due date tomorrow and still here Hmm
I'm twitchy and uncomfortable all the time, majorly grumpy and taking everything as a sign. Looking forward to having her here so I can feel a bit more human again!

Ditsydo · 26/01/2015 10:41

I'm still here .... Sad

I still cant work out if it's trickling waters ... But off for CTG today and fingers crossed if asked they will do another sweep ... Feeling emotional today Sad

If i hear ' she will come when she's ready ' again I'm going to lock myself in a bakery and eat my body weight in cake !!

Hope you ladies are doing ok !

FTMinSingapore · 26/01/2015 10:57

I'm still here too... Next doctors appt on Wednesday, hoping he doesn't just do the usual quick scan and questions then say "see you next week then"!! I'll be 38+5 on wednesday so hopefully we can start discussing the "what if" scenarios. She is measuring quite small so who knows...

Had some contractions on sunday evening but 30mins apart and they faded away to nothing when i got some sleep at night.

postitnotes · 26/01/2015 12:56

Just had CS date brought forward from next Fri to Thurs (5th). I'll be 38+6 with my second baby. Am horribly uncomfortable all the time, and I think the BH I've been getting are sometimes so strong I feel like I've pulled a muscle across the front of my abdomen. It's like having a stitch and completely stops me in my tracks for a couple of minutes. Obviously I keep thinking this is labour and I'm SCARED! My DD is only 12 months old and I'm finding this so much more difficult than last time. I'm wondering if it's because she was breech so I didn't get the head engagement part, which might be why this one is causing me this pain. Would just like to fast forward a couple of weeks now. Sympathies to everyone else in this limbo land.

gincamelbak · 26/01/2015 13:42

Ah, gorgeous baby mom4

38+3 today. Have third presentation scan on Wednesday, if baby is still oblique breech or transverse, then will get booked in for ECV. the dr is really reassuring and positive about success and I'm always happy when in the room with him, but once we leave the hospital after a couple of days I start to doubt myself and whether the procedure will be sore or distress the baby (even though I've already talked it all through with the dr).

Otherwise I'm sore, ginormous (baby was measuring 39+4 to 40+4 at the scan last week at 37+4!) and just want the baby to be ok. Oh, and not go overdue like I did with DD which ended with induction at 40+12. I can't face another potential 3 weeks of this.

LinzAJ · 26/01/2015 20:26

Still waiting too. Baby was due today but obviously didn't get the memo!! Had a rubbish night's sleep last night with contractions and period like cramps then at 5 am everything stopped. I have been contracting since about 11 today and still nothing progressing.

Also, does anyone else have a million people asking if baby has arrived yet!?!? I'm beginning to lose the will to live fielding all the messages, I know they mean well but I want baby to arrive too!! Blush

Moan over!

ShoeJunkie · 27/01/2015 12:11

Due date today - absolutely no signs of anything! DC is obviously just too comfy!

FTRsGotAShinyNewNN · 27/01/2015 19:05

Had a 2nd sweep today, cervix is further forward, thinner and more open than Friday so that's a good sign (amazing what makes you happy at this stage!) Grin
I'm so uncomfortable and I've been totally down today, my poor husband doesn't know what to do with me!

emonslemons · 27/01/2015 21:14

Hi, can I join in the rant?

I'm 39+2 today. Baby's head is pushing on my right hip causing the most excruciating pain. I can no longer walk.....im hobbling. ...its awful.
Plus I've been in prelabour for around 3 weeks now. When I say prelabour.....I kid you not.....its painful braxton hicks worsened by movement and warm baths. Very regular lasting minutes at a time and only minutes apart. The only thing that makes it not labour is the fact it remains constantly at a level of pain not increasing in intensity! I feel the pain is actually worse than the initial pains of true labour! I know it's ironic!

It's horrendous! And I'm soo grumpy....

TMI alert! Today I keep getting small hot gushes in my nickers.....With what I'm assuming is waters trickling. I can't be bothered calling the birth centre till its absolutely clear. They will probably try to insinuate im weeing myself!

I've been quite dry this pregnancy as I've had very little discharge until this last week. So I think this little but of mucus im getting must be the plug?

Whichever way we're on the home stretch. But it's been very agonising I must say!

This is baby number 3 and ds1.

Urgh the worst two days of my life, this move has been awful. My back is killing me atm

OP posts:
bigfam · 28/01/2015 05:28

Posted that too early. Yes, my back is killing me not sure if I honestly have a very bad stomach or things are starting up cause I feel so sick, my luck is its a bug. Can't believe I'm due Sunday I never thought I'd go full term, honestly the difference of carrying that little bit longer this time around has completely taken it's toll on me! Sad
Hope u ladies are ok. X
