Something to pass the oh so agonising days and see how people's pregnancies are progressing compared to eachothers (so we can get really jealous when they go into labour lol) x

I am 39+ 3 today so due on 26th. I have been having tightening's all week, some pains make me stop in my tracks. This morning I had pains all morning, put hubby on notice at work as I thought it was finally starting. I took some paracetamol as it was getting worse and now nothing! The pains have gone, baby happily wiggling away and I am wondering if I imagined it all!! Anyone else having these false starts? I'm so frustrated.

Linz I had a false start on Christmas Day and then one last night. Poor DH works 6 hours drive away mon-fri and I was so sure last night was the real thing he drove home through the snow and got home at 4am, then this morning, nothing

Ahh bless u. I honestly believe I'm going to hit my due date with this one! I thought they were supposed to come earlier the more u had, not later?!

I really thought it was starting last night. Woke up at about 2am with waves of (manageable) pain & starving hungry.

Polished-off the chocolate sponge & custard leftovers, & settled down to relax & wait for it to get worse or fizzle-out.

It fizzled-out at some point & I fell asleep!

I'm going to try a longer walk today, see if I can get things going again!

Lol. Am I a weird one, or is anyone else not able to sleep at night? It's nothing to do with not being comfy I literally am not tired, I didn't go to sleep til 2 last night for no good reason. Ive got the most energetic 3yo who has me running round all day aswell

Bigfam I'm the same! I got up for a wee at 4:30am and have been wide awake ever since. They say it's your body preparing you don't they? Damn my body, I want to get some sleep banked as DD has a cold so has been up in the night this week already! I'm not sure what I'll do if all three are up in the night?!? Sometimes I wonder if I thought this through :)
Nothing to report here either. Got backache but nothing is happening, I'll def get to my section date I think! Which is better I suppose as at least I'll be organised and the other kids will be organised and everyone will know what they're doing.

Went in yesterday evening with reduced movements have a scan and more monitoring today, no pains, no niggles and no tightenings. Yesterday had the weirdest feeling that I wernt even pregnant besides the basketball stuck up my top ! Given up hope of her coming early now 39weeks today !!

NEWS !!

Went in for a big standard scan and left after having a sweep !! I was so pleased! They told me DD is fine but doctor still wanted to sweep and monitor again tomorrow possibly do another sweep ! This could be the start of things ladies !!

I think they are moving things because DD is measuring big and I only have a week left anyway ! YAY !!

And yy to the not sleeping thing. I find I can't drop off until after midnight, the other night I was still wandering about at 1.45am. Oh the joys.

I seem to be in a weird pattern of one day feeling cramps and thinking it might be the start of something, then the next day... Nothing. My LO is still pretty active in there, can feel every movement. I'm going to be a grumpy mummy if she goes past 40wks! I'm 38wks today.

My mum just told me I was nearly 2wks over and my brother was nearly 4 WEEKS OVER!!!!!! Thankfully my doc says they would never let a mum go that far over at my hospital, he was amazed.

I'm sort of a bit happier after seeing the midwife, if she doesn't arrive in before my due date in 9 days I can have a stretch and sweep that day (on Sunday 1st) but then it went downhill cos if that doesn't work, I go back to the midwife at 40+6 and she'll try another sweep and if that doesn't work they induce at 40+12
I've never had any of those all my others were early, I'm getting nervous! Mw did say she is low in my pelvis and she can only feel the back of her head (notes say 2/5 palpable?) but my cervix is literally being beaten by her everytime I sit down and she's still content to stay. How did u ladies who had mw appointments today get on? X

Ah I am glad I'm not the only one getting frustrated.

I had a MW appt yesterday hoping for a sweep and got the look of death which I took to mean that I wasn't going to be offered anything until at least 1 week past my due date. Also after feeling baby I was sent for a scan as they thought baby was breech again. Thankfully not so back to plan A of walking and bouncing on a ball.

I haven't had any pains for a couple of days so things seem to have settled down again now.

Woohoo !! Feeling so much more positive now ladies CTG today , another Monday, MW app Wednesday, 2nd sweep Thursday, 4th CTG Friday and induction Sunday !! Apparently baby is happy and healthy so maybe they are just being kind by not letting me go over !!

I had my mw appt this morning, even though I'm only 39+3 she did a sweep!! I was very pleased to learn my cervix is soft and 1cm dilated already and she could feel baby's head she's fully engaged and pressing on my cervix so hopefully in the next 48 hours there should be some action

Fingers crossed 4 u. My mw said they normally don't do a sweep even at term unless u beg, I told her I'd passed that stage and by next week will be straight out threatening murder lol. Are sweeps any good? I'll really be relying on mine next week and soon disappointed if it doesn't work! X

Oh and keep us informed, any little niggles or when ur full on in labour's fine!

Hello ladies anyone experienced back labor .... I currently look like this with the constant AND waves of intense pain in my lower back sometimes accompanied by period type cramps

Ditsy, that doesn't sound like fun . On the plus side, sounds like your baby is on the way!

39+6 and nothing is happening except for cramping that never really gets going. I am sooo frustrated.

Oh dear Ditsydo, that sounds ominous. I had a back labour with DD (not pg at the mo, spotted the thread on Active Threads).
I wouldn't recommend it. But if that's what you get, that's what you get. I found kneeling on all fours with my arse in the air helped during the early stages. Good luck

I've just posted a new thread. Im not sure but thought my waters might have gone!!!! (a bit of a trickle!)

Still here still pregnant. Whenever she chooses to come she will offically be my latest baby to arrive...
