Think it would be really cool to keep up a thread with ladies due around the same time and we can all discuss our daily problems and have a good bitch! Something to pass the oh so agonising days and see how people's pregnancies are progressing compared to eachothers (so we can get really jealous when they go into labour lol) x

Congratulations gaillondon

Back from fourth presentation scan. Baby was transverse and oblique breech consistently until last week when scan showed head down. Today? Transverse with foot and cord closest to cervix.

Buggrit.

Off to hospital this afternoon for more presentation prodding, possibly staying overnight.

39+4, dr not positive baby will turn again or if it does will stay where supposed to!

MaximumVolume · 03/02/2015 11:35

Congratulations Gaillondon!

Gincamelback, you have my sympathies!Flowers

Just back from the MW. Had a VE & S&S. Apparently all of these stop-start contractions haven't been for nothing as I'm 3cm dilated. MW thinks baby's position (his back lies along my rhs) is stopping him getting his head right down & pressing on my cervix, which in turn prevents things from getting going properly, so I'm posting this whilst leaning over an exercise ball to try & encourage him!

ShoeJunkie · 05/02/2015 09:32

Come on babies!

FTRsGotAShinyNewNN · 05/02/2015 10:58

araminem · 05/02/2015 11:12

I'm still here too Sad. 40+5...

MaximumVolume · 06/02/2015 07:47

I'm still here, too! 40+4 & beginning to doubt it will happen spontaneously. Induction wouldn't be until Monday after next!

FTRsGotAShinyNewNN · 06/02/2015 12:28

So the decision has been made, going in to be induced tomorrow, just waiting for the phone call to tell me what time.
Now that it's come around I'm a little bit nervous, glad it's almost over though Grin

hazel88 · 06/02/2015 18:36

Wow congratulations to everyone who's had their baby!

Gave birth Monday morning after waters went.

Took an age to get started as baby was on my right and his head remained high.

Maximum volume kind of like you! But good to know my actual labour was under an hour. During which time his head came down as it Was. So I guess babies can do what they need to.

P.s I had done ALL the optimum fetal positioning for the whole of pregnancy. ...he would just return himself to the right.

Good luck to all those still waiting! You will have your babies soon!

So he was born in the exact position he had favoured the entire pregnancy.

emonslemons · 08/02/2015 08:24

Ugh .....must of done something wrong with the above post and written the paragraphs into the space! . Sorry

araminem · 08/02/2015 08:55

COngrats to everyone who has already had their babies! I am still waiting at 41+1. Had a check-up on Friday where I was only 1.5 cm dilated, so it seems like it might still be a while.

bigfam · 08/02/2015 09:06

Congrats emonslemons.
Araminem, I honestly don't think that makes any difference, my cervix was completely closed before I went into labour- it started at 5 and by the time I got to hospital at 6 I was 3cm, so keep in mind once things do start it can be quick. Hope ur baby comes soon! X

araminem · 08/02/2015 09:24

That sounds positive! So maybe there is still hope besides being induced. My mum was always early, and things went very quick for her so was thinking the same would happen with me. Just the 'things going very quick' is what could be similar now!

bigfam · 08/02/2015 12:32

Are u a ftm? Sometimes in subsequent pregnancies ur cervix is open a little when you've had more than 1 baby. This is my 4th and I was completely closed, the first hour I dilated to 3cm then after that they didn't check, but she was born 3.5 hours after I arrived at hospital. Yes there is hope (I remember thinking there wasn't any as well, but she actually came at the perfect time!)
Regardless you'll have a beautiful baby soon x

Thanks for your messages! You are keeping my hopes up. And yes - I am a ftm.

yogamum78 · 08/02/2015 15:07

I'm a ftm and today is the official due date! Yesterday I 'nested' like crazy, cleaning the bathroom floor and vacuuming our room for the millionth time. I also did a bit of shopping on the highstreet. I thought all the activity yesterday might create a stir with the baby but she's still a no show. Although I feel like she's moved a bit lower into my pelvis. Feeling more discomfort in my pelvis around the bum area - a bit of an ache. Oh I've also had 2 sweeps in the last 3 weeks.. and nothing...

gincamelbak · 08/02/2015 20:35

Baby boy born Friday at 1.56am.

Went into hospital for monitoring on Tuesday, once I got in I was told that I was actually staying till baby was born. Over the course of Tuesday and Wednesday baby kept changing positions but finally was head down Wednesday evening and Thursday morning.

Non scary details: Waters broken in theatre at 11.30am, went to labour ward. After an initial easy time of it, I think he changed position and by 8pm was getting back pain. Confirmed 6cm and back to back. Epidural at 10.30pm which managed to get me to fully dilated at 1am. However, baby's head was still looking up. Dr called in and managed to partially turn head, in the end I was able to push him out with no intervention. No stitches!

left hospital Friday evening and now sitting watching my gorgeous boy sleep.

Good luck to everyone!

bigfam · 09/02/2015 00:18

Congrats gincamelbak! Xx
I find I spend a lot of time just staring, they're just perfect.
