Think it would be really cool to keep up a thread with ladies due around the same time and we can all discuss our daily problems and have a good bitch! Something to pass the oh so agonising days and see how people's pregnancies are progressing compared to eachothers (so we can get really jealous when they go into labour lol) x

Congrats Butternut! That was quick considering you didn't think anything was happening! Well I'm now 37+5 and getting excited! I've got a section booked at 39 weeks but I'm really hoping I'll have it earlier, wishful thinking!! I've had loads of braxton hicks and lots of period type pains and aches. Every little twinge now I'm assessing, I think I need to stop and just convince myself it will be the scheduled date.

Hope everyone else is doing ok? Xx

Firstimemummy15 · 16/01/2015 09:46

bigfam · 16/01/2015 11:33

Congrats butternut! Wow, that was quick!

gincamelbak · 16/01/2015 13:23

Congratulations butternut!

I am 37wks today and in a right grumpy. Baby is oblique breech and I've sciatic pain. Second presentation scan booked for Tuesday. My mum phoned this morning to tell me all about the people she knows/next doors sisters friend who had a breech baby turn 3 minutes before birth etc. I know she was trying to help but it doesn't help. Baby has been stuck in same position since 24wks. I worry about possibility of going into labour on my own with a 3yr old and no car (DH drives it to work) and 40 minutes from hospital. Dr said on Tuesday that if I think I might be in labour we've to head to hospital ASAP due to position of baby. We're fairly rural so ambulance would take a while to get here if it came to that. Friends will help, but I'm just in a grump with it all.

Am generally keeping calm but today's phone call just tipped me over the edge. Being told "well I know the dr said that, but trish's daughter's second baby moved with four days to go" and "If you need any help then just ask but we are looking after Fiona's dog so...." Just annoyed me. Grump.

Got my s sec date this afternoon. 29th. But I've been having bouts of back pain period type pain all day. So who knows. At least I can look forward to the 29th now.
Gincamel that would really nark, I know the feeling. Its like yes that's lovely for them but it doesn't help me one jot. (my ds1 was breach and had a huge head so never moved down in the end) but you get all the stories don't you. Hope your little shifts round for you.

ShoeJunkie · 16/01/2015 18:13

Congrats butternut!

Loads of twinges today and baby seems to be using my bladder as some kind of squeeze toy.

babyblabber · 16/01/2015 22:12

Congrats butternut! Great news!

I've been having more period like pains and for the first time ever (even though this is my third), braxton hicks! Feel like I've experienced an essential part of pregnancy finally! Am delighted as if they keep up my doc said he'd section me next Friday instead of Tuesday week, woohoo! Although they're quite uncomfortable and have been non-stop for about 6 hours now. Hope they go away when I go to bed!

pinnkmoose · 16/01/2015 22:24

Hi I am due 9th feb, this is my first pregnancy. I've had hip/pelvic pain since Christmas so very painful to move in bed and I am not sleeping well. It was my last day at work today thanks god. I moved house last week, blood pressure is high so I have to see mw again this week so she can keep an eye on it. I'm scared of pre eclampsia, and generally scared of labour . It's safe to say I'm freaking out !!!!!!

ChaircatMiaow · 16/01/2015 23:25

Ooo exciting blabber. Fingers crossed.

38+6 today. Going for super hot curry tonight as I don't think I can take much more of this.

Sonics · 17/01/2015 06:10

I think something might be slowly happening here. Started getting waves of period like pain and bad lower back pain from about 9pm last night. Been woken by them about once an hour through the night. Let's see how today pans out! Fingers crossed Smile

MaximumVolume · 17/01/2015 07:30

Ooh, Sonics, sounds promising! I have a constant period like pain (very mild) at the mo. Went in for monitoring due to reduced movement yesterday, and cheeky baby has swung back to back from perfect position at 36 weeks. So movement is reasonable for a baby in that position but ideally need to get him to turn. MW said periody pain is usually a sign you are progressing towards labour.

bigfam · 17/01/2015 07:37

I've had that horrible period pain on and off for ages now, seems to be worse in the mornings. I swear this child has clamped onto something in there and doesn't want to budge. Glad to hear we might have some live birth threads, that'll keep me occupied. X

Hi ladies,
Im now 40+4 with my fourth. A babygirl. Currently have a 4.10y.o. 2.11y.o and 20month old!!!Grin days are crazy I was sure Id have her by now.. nope. Lol. Dr. appt yesterday and had membranes swept about 3cm but still a very long and thick cervix. I had a sudden burst of energy last night and was nesting. Woke up after 5 hrs of sleep and noticed some of my mucus plug. But still no contractions. Not sure when this little angel will come..

Sonics · 17/01/2015 13:52

My pains haven't really got any more regular. Reckon it's gonna be a slow burner. I'll keep you posted!!

ShoeJunkie · 17/01/2015 18:46

Any news anyone?

Major back pains and something that felt like contractions here earlier but they seem to have calmed down now (back still killing me though!).
Was getting quite excited at the thought that it might be kicking off but maybe not.

gincamelbak · 17/01/2015 19:09

Was in tesco today and a woman I have never seen before came up, rubbed my tummy and said "congratulations, wonderful news!" Which took me a bit by surprise...

Have made it to 37wks without any random bump rubbing...

Sounds like there good be some news on here soon from people? Good luck!

FormerSmilf · 17/01/2015 19:40

Hi all. I'm in hospital. Waters went earlier today after a days period pains. As I'm due c sec on 29th they're keeping me in and having steroids to bring him on. As I'm just 38weeks. Then unless my Labour does anything more he'll be evicted on Monday morning. Ps did anyone else not know steroid injection really hurts?

ShoeJunkie · 17/01/2015 19:55

Hope all goes well former

FTRsGotAShinyNewNN · 17/01/2015 22:54

Congrats Butternut Smile Thanks

I am now 38+4 and absolutely sick to death of this pregnant lark. Why won't she just be born??!!?? Loads of BH, period type pain and brutal back ache and every day I wake up in the morning and realise apart from a few wees nothing's happened overnight Confused

FormerSmilf · 18/01/2015 05:30

Gots a baby :) xxx

ChaircatMiaow · 18/01/2015 06:57

Congrats former! Hope you and the little one are doing well. Flowers

MaximumVolume · 18/01/2015 07:41

Yay, more babies! SmileFlowers

My day was a bit like ShoeJunkie's yesterday, but nothing conclusive & it all settled down overnight.

FormerSmilf · 18/01/2015 09:11

Thanks chaircat. We're both doing well. Grin

FTRsGotAShinyNewNN · 18/01/2015 10:23
