Think it would be really cool to keep up a thread with ladies due around the same time and we can all discuss our daily problems and have a good bitch! Something to pass the oh so agonising days and see how people's pregnancies are progressing compared to eachothers (so we can get really jealous when they go into labour lol) x

Oh ditsyo that sounds rubbish. Hope you got some sleep.

Can I join you? I'm due 22nd Jan so currently 38+6. Have been feeling ok but now starting to get quite achey. Have been trying to batch cook for the freezer but my back aches if I stand in one spot for more than 5 mins which is making it difficult.

It's my first baby, the not knowing when it's going to happen is infuriating! I am reading so much into every little pain that I get!

GailLondon · 14/01/2015 07:25

Morning everyone, I'm due on 29th so am about 38 weeks now, although DS1 was 1 week early so who knows! It's my first week off work and I have a posh haircut booked for this afternoon, and a massage booked for Friday.
I have been doing pretty well up until now, but suddenly this week I can hardly walk anywhere without hip and thigh pain. Ditsydo, I am feeling exactly the same at night time!! Hang in there!

BlingBubbles · 14/01/2015 09:58

Well I am due today and not much happening ConfusedConfusedConfused been to the Gynea this morning and baby is engaged and I am 3cm dilated, so she thinks it could be anytime. I don't feel like much is happening but hopefully this little man makes an appearance soon, I am over being pregnant now!

ShoeJunkie · 14/01/2015 10:06

Exciting Bling - hope it happens soon!

I've been sleeping in one or two hour blocks for the past few nights - soooo uncomfortable. Been to the midwife today (38 weeks) and baby is 3/5 engaged but who knows?!

Hope everyone has a good day. Flowers

Ditsydo · 14/01/2015 11:11

Thanks guys managed a small amount of sleep ... Possibility of a nap this afternoon I think !

I have my 38week appointment today, I don't ever usually get information from her about if babies head is engaged or estimated weight ? Is she likely to tell me this today or do an exam to see if anything is happening ? Confused

babyblabber · 14/01/2015 11:30

I was at the doc this morning and as I've been having some period like pains & a little blood yesterday he debated bringing my section forward by a week to next Tuesday! I was so excited!!! I'll be 38+2 but he decided it was just a teeny bit early. If it was 38+5 he would have. I was so close!!!!!!! Ah well, 13 days and counting.

It's the nights that get to me, peeing every hour so wake up exhausted every morning. And DH is working this weekend so will be on my own with DS & DD, tired even thinking about it!!!!!

ShoeJunkie · 14/01/2015 12:30

Don't know ditsy, she usually checks position and measures the bump. She did start talking about sweeps today which was less exciting! Confused

Ditsydo · 14/01/2015 12:42

Oh I hope she does one today haha!! I doubt it tho because I've just realised amongst all the other stresses my notes are in my car ... Which my OH has taken to work ... An hour away Confused ... He won't be home till gone 7 !! Will she still see me or shall I call ahead ? X

MaximumVolume · 14/01/2015 13:03

Hello! I am due on 2nd with DC2, but DS came a week early. This is another boy, seems to be trackingoto be sameweight at 39 weeks as DS when he was born, so fingers crossed for another 39 weeker!

I'm hoping for a better labour this time. Got stuck in latent phase (4cm) for 60hrs. Only 5hrs active labour once they broke my waters, though!

ShoeJunkie · 14/01/2015 15:38

Ditsy she should still see you, she can always note bp, measurements etc on a separate bit of paper for you to shove into your notes later.

Sonics · 15/01/2015 07:59

39 weeks today and starting to get fed up. Really limited as to what I can do as my back hurts if I stand up for even short periods of time. Getting bored at home alone all day. Hope I'm not waiting too much longer!

How is everyone else doing?

butternut22 · 15/01/2015 08:04

I am 39 +4 and think things make be kicking off. Loads of tightenings, a bloody show, period type pains and now loads of clear discharge. My first baby came at 39 +3 so I feel overdue already!!

Sonics · 15/01/2015 08:32

Ooh exciting butternut! Good luck Smile

bigfam · 15/01/2015 09:11

Fingers crossed 4 u butternut. Keep us posted as much as poss! X

Good luck butternut!! Sounds like things are kicking off!
Nothing happening here, 38+1 and hoping I can hold off till 39 weeks so I can go to my pregnancy massage (booked for tomorrow) and sort out my car's MOT (booked for Monday)

babyblabber · 15/01/2015 16:05

Good luck butternut!!!

It's my birthday today & best present ever would be an early arrival. Last few weeks are so hard, aren't they?!!!

Baby was estimated at 8.5lbs yesterday with two weeks to go til my section (thank god I can't go overdue so it can get even fatter!) so no surprise that there's no roo in my 5ft 3 body for my lungs and bladder to operate as normal. I've somehow managed to continue to fill my stomach however :)

wwbuffydo · 15/01/2015 21:15

I'm due on the 30th and I'm so bored! I even started making a patchwork blanket with dh's shirts (possibly should have asked him first). In other news I am eating for Britain, think I just lost a crisp in my chin, and I'm getting braxton hicks so bad I can't walk while they are hicksing. This is my second baby and I was 40+11 with my first so I could theoretically be looking at anither month. On the up side I have just found RU Paul's drag race on net flix. Just thought I'd share- good luck to everyone!!

FormerSmilf · 15/01/2015 22:26

Hi all, May I join in too?
I'm 38 weeks and awaiting my date for c sec sometime in 39th week with ds2. So sick of being pregnant. So different to my first. Positions in bed now consist of choosing lying on my left and having agony legs and back from spd or on right and being constantly sick in my mouth. HaD my ds1 at 42weeks but am still hoping this one chooses to come so I can have him now!
How are you all holding up this evening? Xxx

FormerSmilf · 15/01/2015 22:28

Good luck butternut! :)

butternut22 · 15/01/2015 22:52

Hi. I went to hospital because I thought waters had gone. They haven't! ! I am only 1cm dilated so probably still have a long wait. Sooo fed up!!!

FormerSmilf · 16/01/2015 00:55

Thanks for checking in butternut, how disappointing for you. But who knows, maybe you'll go into Labour in the morning :) xx

butternut22 · 16/01/2015 08:17

Baby boy born 4am this morning after 4 hour labour. No name yet. He is lush! !

araminem · 16/01/2015 08:33

Congratulations butternut22!
