cuppa whoop! I'm excited for you!
smallbear I meant to say great news on your scan Smile

ignominious · 06/12/2014 19:10

Catbus yes I'm booked in now, feels like there's no baby and they're wasting their time still ugh.

17 kids was so sad with the miscarriages. I wonder if she'll have another successful pregnancy now.

Smallbear glad checkup was ok.

Baby cup must be here by now!! Where are the photos! Priorities Grin

longestlurkerever · 06/12/2014 19:36

Good luck cuppa! Sorry to hear the sad news about the other baby. Xx

longestlurkerever · 06/12/2014 19:39

Welcome daisy and sand. I would definitely recommend an early scan daisy. You might be entitled to one on the nhs after a miscarriage but it depends on you hospital's policy.

Hi all. Starting to get very panicked about induction day on Wednesday... Nervous when everyone around me is so excited! This is normal right?
Good luck cuppa thinking of you xxx

tannyLoo · 07/12/2014 07:40

liesal I think it sounds perfectly normal to me! Until we have that baby in our arms we are alive to the thought that everything could go wrong. It won't, of course, and soon after Wednesday, you'll be holding your beautiful baby. And keep us posted, we love hearing about them, as you know xxx

Cuppa, looking forward to hearing from you xxx

Babytinx11 · 07/12/2014 08:17

liesal I was induced with DS and it was great much easier than I expected :)

Cuppachaplz · 07/12/2014 11:15

liesal best of luck for Wednesday. Thinking of you.
I think it's natural to be nervous. You'll be fine, you have coped brilliantly with everything else3 days until baby cuddles! Squeeeeee

So was told yesterday at about 3pm that I was next in theatre, which was being cleaned.
About a minute later my waters broke with a big gush (increasing contractions all night and morning); oodles of clear lichor.
Called MW, who said they would sped things up. Asked if it was possible to try to VBAC? Consultant more than happy with this, discussed at length so I was really happy and excited. Scan to check orientation as a massive movement had proceeded waters going. Unfortunately baby was now transverse, and not enough fluid to turn him (love this consultant), so back to CS. In theatre I had a reaction to the antibiotic, and then a profound bradycardia episode, delaying things a little. Due to the transverse lie and adhesions from previous section, baby was difficult to exteriorise and his head was stuck. By now I was feeling this, and the anaesthetist almost proceeded to full ga. Due to difficulties, delayed clamping and immediate skin to skin not allowed, however baby quickly recovered. He weighed 5lb 4oz and he is perfect :)
He struggle feed from me, but took EBF from a syringe happily, so I was glad of my expressed cholostrum supply. Because of his size and T 21, his blood sugars were monitored, and they dipped along with temperature. I had to wake him for bg and feeding set amount of formula (Sad) through the night. Despite being floppy and sleepy he has done really well. Passed his meconium this morning and no vomiting so bowel atresia unlikely. He will be seen by cardiologist and neuro for scans either.
Am utterly in love. He is beautiful, gorgeous and perfect.
No name yet, and I don't think I can upload a piccie on my tablet, but will give it a try.
It's been such a journey. Thanks for all the support lovely ladies; wishing to all sticky, easy pregnancies xxxx

I'm back... Was here last month for a few days only, feels pretty weird that I've got pregnant again so quickly. Due around the 17th August if this bean sticks. Have 4 gorgeous kids, had MC in June at around 6.5w and a CP last month.

daisysunshine2 · 07/12/2014 11:41

Congratulations cuppa! What a journey! Well done to you and hope you and your family are able to have some time together amongst the medical things! A picture would be super lovely :)
