Thinking of all with scans today can't wait to hear the good news later

twilightstruggle · 14/01/2015 08:02

Good luck to those having scans today.

Little wave at everyone else - slept in and now rushing about (gently) getting ready for work.

broodylicious · 14/01/2015 08:02

Good luck to everyone scanning today.
Can't believe I've got weeks of this worry before I can get scanned. I knew there was a reason I was putting off POAS. As long as you're being sensible about food etc, knowing at 4 weeks doesn't really achieve very much!

CommanderShepard · 14/01/2015 08:33

My thoughts exactly Donna. Not that I am doing well on the healthy eating front, as I just can't stomach anything. This happened wwith DD too; I was eating because I had to, not because I wanted to. Swallowed my vitamins this morning and had a retching fit. I was about 6 weeks when it started with DD and I'm not 5 til tomorrow! I hope to god this is a good thing. Can't bear the thought of feeling like this only to miscarry again (although with my miscarriage I had no ssymptoms exceptfre frequent peeing)

worriedmum100 · 14/01/2015 08:34

Good luck to everyone having a scan today. I'm in the waiting room waiting for a repeat hcg blood test. So anxious. Cb digital still has me at 1-2 weeks this morning which is correct but hcg was 15 on Saturday so should be at least 60 today. I would have thought cb digi may have read 2-3 weeks if I'd got past 50. Oh god. This is like torture. Agree with pp who said there is not much benefit yo knowing so early. my period isn't even due until tomorrow.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 14/01/2015 08:34

I had the nausea and sore boobs in my previous pregnancy as well, but I don't think it was this bad this early.

charlieis30 · 14/01/2015 08:51

Re the food chat, I've actually lost nearly 5kgs in the first trimester... from 6w until about 11w I pretty much just ate tomatoes on toast, marmite toast and clementines! It did impact my energy quite a lot but baby continued to grow normally during that time (or at least will find out tomorrow eek). And I didn't throw up at all (although I did get close a few times). Just no appetite at all. None of my docs/MWs seem worried at all.

Gosh. I wish I did Charlie. I was starving the whole time and are like a horse. The only thing I went off was drinks. Could only face water most of the time.

Huge congratulations calling! Also good luck to those who are having scans today!

I had a reassurance scan on Sunday, baby is fine and everything looked normal and how it should be. I was 9w that day going by LMP and baby measured 8+6 so spot on. Have been booked in with the MW and have a 12w scan booked for the 3rd Feb. Feeling very nauseous, especially in the afternoons/evenings, no appetite and very tired, hoping this will start tailing off soon.

Littlelady33 · 14/01/2015 10:22

I also panicked a bit yesterday when weighed at hospital as have lost over a kilo since booking appt. but the baby is fine and I'm sure my appetite will come back before too long!

HollyBen · 14/01/2015 10:42

Hoping to hear some positive scan stories today!

7 weeks-eeeek!! DD was 11 days late so even though current plan is to start sweeps at 39 weeks I wasn't expecting this one to arrive any sooner that term. Spoke to someone at work this morning who said dc1 was 2 weeks late, but dc2 was a week early. I have so much to do which i have been putting of until mat leave. Starting to get a bit panicky.

DD has been quite emotional of late too baby. I guess it is a big change for them.

happygojo · 14/01/2015 10:49

I'm having a wobble (I am 9+2, no scans yet) after a few weeks of being able to eat close to nothing.... I am starving! Granted it is for beige food only but surely I should be at my worst now? I have also bloated in the past few days. I am so scared. No cramps apart from digestive ones and no spotting but I feel like I am definitely on knicker watch. Need to stay off my AN thread too because they just assume that everything is going to be completely fine all the time Sad

I need a big old dose of positivity!

HollyBen · 14/01/2015 11:42

Symptoms do quite often drop off around this time happy due to the placenta taking over. Repeat after me 'Today I am pregnant' x

broodylicious · 14/01/2015 11:48

I am PREGNANT!!!! With possibly the wriggliest baby I have ever seen!!!!! Couldn't get the nt measurements because of said wriggles but all other bits look good and healthySmileSmile new dd is July 20. Sonographer was fab and dealt with my tears very well, told me immediately baby is there with a lovely strong heartbeat.

Thanks so much for all of your support so far ladies, has meant the absolute world xx

HollyBen · 14/01/2015 12:02
