Florence there seems to be no such thing as a regular bump size, so I'm sure yours is fine, I have the same feeling sometimes. And movements were very hit and miss for me until 26 weeks or so. I'm a bit embarrassed about how many reassurance Doppler listens I had from the midwives Blush .

At 27+3 I'm now pretty bus sized and being kicked with quite some regularity!

catbus · 05/12/2014 17:15

Florence Thank you Smile You're bang on there, it is truly gruelling, especially with symptoms fannying about..
Ach, ignore those that comment on your bump size- ds1 was a tidy bump but he was born 8lb11 so that shut a few people up Grin
Having an anterior placenta can definitely mess with your head- although I'll wager as you progress there will be no mistaking a knee or an elbow pushing it outward!
No need to get a grip- you're pregnant Grin

catbus · 05/12/2014 17:17

Oops meant to say I hope you feel better for the pregnancy rage Charlie Grin

And still thinking of you cuppa, hopefully by now snuggled up with baby cup Flowers

Mslad · 05/12/2014 17:44

Thinking of cuppa - hope everything is going well

Get a grip Florence ! Now can someone tell me to do the same? I'm 16+4 and really thought I'd have relaxed by this stage, but after every appointment, my anxiety creeps right back up. I'm having a bit of a wobble the last few days. I know it's early, but am desperate to feel any movement, as so many other people at this stage are feeling flutters and pops.

It's interesting (sad) to see on this thread the different worries that people are having. We're all worried about symptoms or lack of symptoms, but we must try remember that every pregnancy is different and worrying probably won't help. (easier said then done!!)

sending 'hold tight' thoughts to the first trimester gang too- it's so hard, especially after an mc.

xx

FlorenceandZebedee · 05/12/2014 18:13

Thanks all, sometimes just saying it makes you feel better and on here quite normal!! Hope everyone has a restful, anxiety free weekend xx

catbus · 05/12/2014 18:15

Get a grip Mslad Wink
It really works to be long before you feel those movements- hang on in there Smile
Thanks for the thoughts and sage words- you are of course right and no pregnancy is the same. Despite being told I should be a pro at this by now after 4 DCs, by well meaning people, it's only when I come in here that I'm with others that truly understand all those worries when one has pg after MCs. This thread is an invaluable support so thank you all.
Big hugs and good vibes to all Smile

I am at the same stage as you tori just behind mslad and no flutterings yet. Did feel one boot to the tummy a week ago but starting to think that must have been a muscle twinge or something.
I felt movements very early with dd so am a bit anxious too.

longestlurkerever · 05/12/2014 18:32

Posted too soon. Meant to say I haveaalso been thinking of cuppa and hope all has gone well.

ignominious · 06/12/2014 08:31

MW asked me yesterday if I was feeling any movement yet!? I'm only 8 .5 weeks. Don't expect any for quite a while.

Did anyone see 17 and counting? It's on 4od and involves miscarriage.

catbus · 06/12/2014 09:06

ignonimous wow really? Was that your booking appt you had?
I started to watch 17 kids with dd and broke down crying!

Cuppachaplz · 06/12/2014 11:03

Welcome worry fx for a smooth pregnancy x

longest that sounds like ligament pain as your uterus expand and moves. It may get easier as your womb becomes completely abdominal or may stay throughout pregnancy. Take paracetamol if too uncomfortable, and support your bump at night x

catbus sorry you're wobbly. Symptoms do come and go and today you are pregnant Thanks

charlie Shock whoops! I've made similar errors over... I'll bet you feel worse than anyone else. (((X)))

florence get a grip Wink
hit and miss movements normal with anterior placenta at 24w. Hoping you get more regular reassurance soon x
I've been small throughout, and more so since the sepsis. I've had lots of people telling me thus week that I'm in the wrong place (delivery) as definitely don't look full term!

mslad I'd love to say it get easier! but I've had nothing but anxiety throughout; by the time I passed my latest mc gestation (22w), they had found all sorts of other reasons for me to worry instead. Hoping you de wobble soon x

No SCBU beds yesterday, and none in same place as theatre slot anywhere in South Wales, so sent home at 6pm. After 36 hours nil by mouth, spent the evening gorging until midnight.
Back in again today, was initially told might be a long wait until I know. Just moved me and told me that almost certainly gave a bed, just waiting for one lady to deliver before taking me to theatre. Was super excited but have just learned the other lady delivering ahead of me's baby passed away. Feeling sick at how I've got baby's SCBU cot, and just wanting yo go home now :'(

thesmallbear · 06/12/2014 11:10

Oh cuppa I'm sorry to hear you're still having such a hard time. I really hope baby cup arrives safely soon!

I had my scan this morning. The baby is fine and was wiggling about. I'm going to try and be calmer from now on!

Hi everyone
Just got positive test this morning. Think I am about 4-5 weeks.

First reaction - fear. Not knowing if I can cope with the anxiety again.
Backstory - I have two children and have had two miscarriages. I've never had a pregnancy without severe anxiety all the way through. I wonder what it must be like for folk who feel blissfully happy to be pregnant. I'm sad that its an emotion I'm just not capable of feeling.

Hi everyone :) I had a mc In September at 6 weeks and am now 5 weeks pregnant, constantly worried that I'm going to mc and debating whether or not to get a private scan at 7 weeks... Any thoughts? Also really glad to see people from the TTC after MC thread... Really glad to read your pregnancies are progressing nicely! :)

tannyLoo · 06/12/2014 13:44

Oh Cuppa, that's awful. And awful that you know that. I really hope you are now in theatre and that all is well. Thinking if you x

catbus · 06/12/2014 14:00

Oh cuppa :'(
You really are going through it..and yet still taking the time to think of others..
I am sending all the strength at you and hoping you will be holding baby cup today Smile
Stay strong x

catbus · 06/12/2014 14:02

Cuppachaplz · 06/12/2014 14:27

smallbear that great news Grin

Welcome sandfish and daisy, hope you both have smooth pregnancies.

Thanks for kind words everyone. The dad happened to come and stand outside my room to make a call, else we'd never have known SadSad
