Lost you guys for a bit. Need to catch up properly. Massive congratulations cuppa You have been on such a journey and throughout been so supportive of everyone else x

ignominious · 08/12/2014 07:19

Wow cuppa congratulations. Hope you are ok though, that sounds really traumatic. Are you going to get counselling?

amicablemoomin · 08/12/2014 12:03

hi everyone, not been on here for a while - now 38 weeks pregnant and only 3 from the top of the stats list......cant really believe that we are nearly there. It doesn't feel real at all.

cuppa wonderful wonderful news, what a journey you've been on, and what a fantastic result. Just fantastic.

Liesal good luck for Wed!!!

Mslad · 08/12/2014 14:05

Hi everyone, I had a really busy weekend so couldn’t check in till now.

Cuppa what amazing news. I’m so so happy for you and your wonderful boy. Flowers

Thanks Tori and longest for your comments re feeling movement. I’m beginning to feel like the only person on the antenatal threads who hasn’t yet felt anything. Glad to be in good company here Smile

Welcome daisy and sand & good luck on Wednesday liesal

catbus · 08/12/2014 15:02

Had my booking appt today at 9 weeks. Wow, things have changed even in the last few years- some of the questions were quite irrelevant and intrusive to me- a lot of 'family background' questions and it brought up some painful stuff which given the fact I said I suffer from anxiety (which they kept going on about) you'd think they'd be a bit more sensitive about!
Anyway, due to have bloods done in 2 weeks for Downs screening too. And a bit gutted that I will probably be referred to a consultant this time, because of my age and amount of children. Bit sad that it's not looking likely for a HB like I'm used to, but hey, I'm not overly bothered where really as long as the baby and I are ok.
Trying to remain positive about the pregnancy and that it will all be alright. And my scan date will be sent in the post soon, eek!
Hoping everyone is doing good? Smile

liesal79 · 09/12/2014 06:04

Hi all,
It's 6am & again I've been up for 2 hours, getting very nervous about being induced on Wednesday & all the things that can go wrong. I had a dream tonight that it all went ok, except the baby was transverse. I'm not even sure where I got that terminology from! Your mind is a messed up thing!
Will keep everyone posted. Good luck moomin :) wishing you all the luck in the world & massive congrats cuppa :)

Phryn · 09/12/2014 07:51

Huge congrats cuppa. Really hope all is well with you and your lovely little man. Looking forward to seeing a pic and finding out his name when you're ready.

moomin and liesel - wishing you all the best. I can't quite imagine what a mix of excitement and nerves must be going on. Liesel you're right our brains do a real number on its when we're asleep sometimes which can be rather disconcerting! Hope you can rest and energise today. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers especially tomorrow.

tannyLoo · 09/12/2014 08:17

I'm on my tablet at the moment, but an update of the stats with our new thread baby would be lovely, ready to add you too liesal. If anyone gets to a computer before I do, please can they add the full list?

catbus · 09/12/2014 10:45

liesal good luck with your induction and looking forward to hearing your good news Smile
Do you know what kind of induction you will have?

HollyBen · 09/12/2014 11:02

Good luck with the induction tomorrow liesal Try not to worry(easy for me to say I know). Just focus on the end point and getting those lovely first newborn cuddles. It'll all be worth it then xx

No! No idea! I didn't have any sweeps either! Having quite a few pains today so baby may have other plans!!!

catbus · 09/12/2014 11:23

That's encouraging! Maybe baby might just pip them at the post and you won't need inducing Grin
Top tip- walk up the stairs one at a time but sideways iyswim- gets baby in optimum position- honestly it works!

littlemissy12345 · 09/12/2014 19:32

Congratulations Cuppa and good luck leisl.

Well nearly 25 weeks, it actually seems to be flying now and just realised today I've been going to the loo for the last week without knicker checking! Yippee for kicks!

liesal79 · 09/12/2014 20:51

Pains have stopped. Shitting myself about something going wrong but that's normal. Don't think I'll be sleeping tonight xxx

TeaRex · 10/12/2014 05:08

Hi all, been really bad at keeping up with everyone but just wanted to say congratulations to cuppa and also liesal I was induced with my dd and I was worried too but it all went fine so induction doesn't always mean a bad time of it, keep positive :)

liesal79 · 10/12/2014 07:05

Thank you all! Never thought I'd get here so need to be positive :) just waiting on the come in call...if they don't call me by 10-30 I call them!! Haven't slept much but that's nothing different!!!!

Phryn · 10/12/2014 07:34

You were my first thought liesel after my alarm went off. Really hope today goes well and that you meet your little one soon!

tannyLoo · 10/12/2014 07:53

Good luck today Liesal, will be thinking of you!

Hi all

Massive congratulations cuppa! Your journey has been quite the opposite of easy but you're finally at the finishing line. Enjoy time with your new baby and thanks for all your advice and support to me and others throughout Thanks Don't be a stranger Wink
liesal good luck today - you'll be fine!

silverine · 10/12/2014 11:13

Back in the UK and stuck at GPs for GTT test for next 2 hrs after a disgusting pint of Lucosade. Really annoying as they won't let me go home, even though it's really close, before coming back for the second bloods... was supposed to be working from home today and I didn't bring a book or anything.
