I never seemed to be able to keep up with the Antenatal Threads as they move so so fast, but now im 30weeks I thought it might be nice to have a general thread for those of us currently on the final leg.

Im expecting a boy at the end of October and have a dd who is currently 2y 8m. We had an eleven week loss last year so I am beyond chuffed to have had a so far successful pregnancy. Im starting to get very weary and my chest feels so full of my other organs at the moment!

Just returned from a few days away and realised the next time I use my little weekend bag will be for labour Grin so Im going to start chucking stuff into it over the next few weeks.

I am all for baby staying in as long as they need but am so so keen to just getting this pregnancy over and done with.

I'm still a big round blob!

Had a few evenings of pains, but they have gone after a bath. Im sick of thinking "eeek this is it" only for it not to be. Due Saturday, sweep.booked for the Monday after. Really should try DTDing witg DH but I just dont fancy it.

hello, my waters went this morning but no dilation. Sad

At home for a sleep then it's all guns blazing to get that cervix going! Any ideas much appreciated.

Good news on the waters! Do you have a birthing ball to bounce on?

I do! They went at 4am so a bit knackered now. Planning to have a sleep for a couple of hours then walk, bounce and hope for the best! Ooh, and take some EPO too.

Will they bring you in to be induced if you dont start contracting or are they happy to wait and let nature take its course?

Still pregnant!

Really pleased as I made it to my finish date at work on Friday at 38+4 - didn't think I would but I did Smile
I am REALLY pleased to be finished now though and it's just a waiting game. No signs of little 'un or any attempt by them to make a start though.

JuniDD Good Luck!

Yes, the induction is booked for tomorrow morning if nothing happening but I'll take it hour by hour at this stage. If I'm starting by then I may either not go in or ask to be examined etc. I'm a bit wary of not doing as they say - though aware they used to let you go three days! - because I'd rather baby got here ok than potentially endanger both of us...it's really difficult! I just hope things kick off asap!

Ooh good luck Juni! What was it like when your waters went? Did you get 'warning' or did they just go?

Still nothing here Sad although DP has a day full of finishing off DIY jobs and my friend is visiting tonight so kind of hoping it won't be until after tomorrow anyway!

rebecca my due date twin!

No warning whatsoever, woke up with cramps (as I had the hour before!) sat on the edge of the bed to get up for a wee and GUSH!!! I ran to the bathroom and ended up with waters all over the floor, my pants were soaked. I couldn't believe it! They're still coming now on and off. I have no idea what set it off, apart from I was doing a lot of hip rotations last night to "practise" which I hadn't done before - just belly dancing style!

Ahh lovely news Pregnant!

Sad Splendide - I was sign-free last pregnancy and boom, 3min contractions at 40+2 with dd born 24 hours, so your body may just whoosh you right into the thick of it soon.

Well done pregnant!

Thanks hacked, that's encouraging. I'm currently bouncing on my ball and feeling a bit sorry for myself.

Yaaay congratulations!!! And so sorry to hear you are being prevented from sleep by other peoples babies. Its always easier when its our own.

I was spoiled last time and put in a single room, chances of having that twice is a small thing so no doubt will be on a full ward this time round.

Ypu got a shortlist for names?

Thanks! The MW did this amazing thing when he was crowning - she poured ice cold water onto my bits as the head was coming out and it was like heaven. Utter bliss. I said "I didnt even know that was a Thing" Grin but I would recommend it.
