I never seemed to be able to keep up with the Antenatal Threads as they move so so fast, but now im 30weeks I thought it might be nice to have a general thread for those of us currently on the final leg.

Im expecting a boy at the end of October and have a dd who is currently 2y 8m. We had an eleven week loss last year so I am beyond chuffed to have had a so far successful pregnancy. Im starting to get very weary and my chest feels so full of my other organs at the moment!

Just returned from a few days away and realised the next time I use my little weekend bag will be for labour Grin so Im going to start chucking stuff into it over the next few weeks.

I am all for baby staying in as long as they need but am so so keen to just getting this pregnancy over and done with.

Hi, I'm presently 29+4 due end Oct - please can I join? My consultant is already saying 'we'll induce earlier as you're older' so baby might be born mid Oct!! Eek!!

Baby & bump have suddenly grown and I'm feeling massive!! I also get terrible acid reflux at night and can't keep my dinner down so it looks like smaller portions for me going forward Hmm
I've started nesting/ decluttering/ putting things in the charity box but can't do baby's room as yet as we're having renovations!!

Hello! I'm due 20 October and feel like it's really dragging on now. I'm weirdly focused on 26 September though as it's my last day at work. But then I'll still have another chunk of time that'll drag by.

Hiya, yay this thread is great, I find the Oct thread too fast to keep up with too! I'm due on 21st Oct (2 ladies at work due within 2 weeks of each other too - there really must have been something in the water around that time!!). First baby and a teacher too! xx

This thread has really cheered me up I keep feeling like I shouldn't be so slow or tired yet, so it's good to know I'm not alone!

I'm 29 weeks today :) due 2nd November with dc3.

Utterly exhausted and can't wait for the next 11 weeks to pass. Finish work in 4 weeks which will help as I work nights and look after DCs 1(4) & 2(2) during the day.

Hoping I can keep up with the thread

Anyone else totally pulling back on household stuff? DH is a teaching assistant so thankfully off all summer and im pretty much leaving the child and he house to him and chipping in where I can. We are usually very 50:50. He joked this morning that I get up to a week post birth then its back to Equality Street Grin

Work is shifts - im in til 11pm tonight and back in 7am Monday so by teatime tomorrow ill be good for tea bath and bed.

Might try and work out how many shifts Ive got left tonught.

ThinkIveBeenHacked - definitely dropping back on the household stuff at the moment. DH is being amazing and happily doing housework while I out my feet up, which is making the world of difference. I was saying last night that I can't imagine how I'll manage if we have a second baby and I don't have the luxury of waving the white flag when I feel rubbish and having a lie down! I'm hoping that I'll start feeling more like cleaning once I get on top of some of the painful bits and bobs I'm having at the moment as I'd love to feel like I'm pulling my weight a bit more. He keeps reminding me that growing a baby definitely counts as doing my share. He's a keeper! :-)

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 17/08/2014 13:22

He definetly sounds like a Keeper! I have a Baby App on my phone and was reading out the estimated weight and size of baby and dh was Shock and saying "no wonder you are tired" - err....yes. Its not made of marshmallow.

My folks have gone on holiday for a fortnught today and I have them booked for childcare for dd when I go into labour so much as its too early for labour yet anyways, I really need to keep my legs crossed the next two weeks.

I am 32 weeks today with my first and just 3 weeks of work left. I seem totally fixed on that date right now rather than my due date. Last week I developed PGP which I am coping with but this weekend the tiredness is kicking back in again... So glad I am not the only one but sad that if I feel like this I won't get much chance to enjoy the rest of my pregnancy.

35 weeks and the last week has been really tough. Got two more weeks at work but really wondering if I'm going to be able to get through them. How do other people make it look so easy and work so late! I felt pretty good until about 32 weeks, then bam, really tired and heavy and getting worse by the week. Those of you till feeling good - take advantage and get things done! If this continues how is it going to be in the last few weeks! It's my first so didn't know what to expect. Still got loads to get sorted but now no energy to do it. I was up about 6 times last night so woken up shattered - not the best start to the week. Starting to hurt in pelvis when I walk or turn over in bed or take the stairs. Can't turn over without waking up and groaning! How do you people with children already do it?!!!! You are amazing! At least I can be selfish and (try to) sleep when I'm not at work.

I'm 30+1, due 26th October, having a girl, first baby. I'm feeling tired, but thankfully not having many other problems. The tiredness is probably due to the fact that I've gained 11 kg since the start of pregnancy, and I need to lug that up and down 3 flights of stairs (live in a third floor flat with no lift!) every day. Work isn't too bad, everyone is super considerate, and I've been exempted from night shifts and weekends. Nonetheless I can't wait for maternity leave to start - 7 weeks left - I'm sure I'll start feeling much worse before then. DH is lovely to me - he works long hours and can't help me with the housework, so he's hired a cleaner, for which I'm feeling a bit guilty but also extremely grateful.

Yep, restless legs here too. My friend gave me a Sanctuary mum-to-be box and there's cooling leg gel in that. It's probably done nothing but I didn't have it the first night I used it. I found it was worse the more I walked, not better as I assumed!

Anyone else had bad stretching pain down one side later on? I hadn't had it for ages and now it's started up again. Not sure if it's getting out of bed wrongly or actual stretching.

Hello! I'm due 24th October, first baby (boy). First trimester was pretty rough but feeling better now. Lost 8 kilos since start of pregnancy but I am a chubster anyway so that's fine with me because I was pretty worried about the health implications of being overweight. I am feeling pretty stiff at times and have to push myself to be more active. Dr says all OK so far.

Plan for birth is take every painkiller I can get my hands on.

Anyone else delivering w/o their partner? Mine will be abroad on a work contract so will miss the birth.

Eek noor are you taking anyone else in with you? DH keeps saying he must buy Red Bull for the labour as he was so so tired last time Hmm nearly got a swift kick in the bollocks for that! Have to say id rather no -one else if he couldnt be there but you may want your mum or a friend or a doula there.

Gonna try and do a quick Stats post so we know eho is who1

Wow isn't it lovely there are so many of us. Dylanabsnoahamummy I'm mainly trying not to think about the VBAC, or make any real plans or expectations of birth. Fingers crossed the scan at 36 weeks shows everything is ok.
Lots more movements this time around, not sure if that is a sign of better position.

I'm actually enjoying being pregnant today! Cool to see everyone's EDDs.

I just bought some black granny pants from m&s for the hospital bag.

Is anyone else just gradually adding to theirs? Or is it best to do it all in one go so you know you're all set?
