Hi, hope someone can help, my sons x girlfriend has turned up with a scan of 9 week twins and printed on the scan in the left hand corner just under sex unknown it says fathers name and has his name on.
I do not think its real and wondered if there is anyone out there who has had a scan at The University Hospital north staffs and if they can tell me if the hospital put the fathers name on scans.

Scary. I'm really quite shocked that the police don't appear to be taking this seriously. If it was a woman being subjected to this degree of stalking I'm sure they'd intervene more quickly and dramatically.

Hopefully your son's new GF's family also reporting may escalate the matter enough for the police to look into further action.

How awful for you all. Can't believe how little the police seem to be doing. Like pp said if it was a woman getting harassed like this it waitis be a different story.

Hope it all gets sorted soon.

Hi shellmont. All hospitals have a senior medical staff member appointed as the Caldicott Guardian. (Often the medical director) They have a legal duty to safeguard the way confidential information is accessed and used at the trust. Hospitals take v seriously breaches of confidentiality as there can be massive fines/negative publicity. In addition staff will be disciplined and may be sacked for deliberate breaches.

I would suggest if you have heard nothing from the hospital ringing switchboard and asking for the legal dept who is the CG and sending your complaint to them in addition.
Keep on logging everything as this does not sound like a safe/stable person to care for vulnerable people let alone the risk to your family. In addition you can complain to the NMC if they are a nurse who will be obliged to investigate. You can check on their homepage if there are cautions/ restrictions to practice. Details of hearing outcomes are also publicly available at

Good luck and stay safe.

Oh my goodness - have just stumbled across this thread - I hope OP that your son has got some respite from this- the woman seems completely unhinged and I worry about her in a 'caring' role in a hospital.

I'm shocked at how the police seem to have not taken it particularly seriously too - imagine the hoo-haa if it had been the other way round.....

Came back here to see the end where OP reveals it all was a massive wind-up...
Nope. Just got bored I guess.

Very sturdy girl, that stalker, up and about stalking from 6.30am from miles and miles away, doesn't finish until 12.30am (nighttime). Wow. That's some effort, and she keeps the job down.

Lazy police, who can be easily manipulated by a "clear mental case"... This has all the trimmings for another Pegg and Frost masterpiece.

That does sound a bit suspicious! I had several scans for my DS & none of them had my DP's name on them. They didn't even use his surname on DS' hospital band & red book when he was born even though we requested it! They always use the mum's name until the child has been registered after birth. IMO this sounds like a fake picture
