The bouncing is meant to be able to help soften and open cervix, not sure how early you are meant to encourage this???

I could have referred to our trust physio for anything else I think, but not in pg.

BlindKitty · 08/05/2014 07:41

foody Oh good!!! I'm term anyway as of last week! 2 weeks to go but no sign of any bhs Sad

Guess that's understandable re Trust physio service as they're unlikely to normally deal with pg pts.

So got my 38 week appt today and a little nervous about there being sugar in my urine. Praying I having got gdm as it will ruin my perfect birth plans!

it's a bit late to diagnose it isn't it kitty? fingers crossed for you!

CatsCantFlyFast · 08/05/2014 10:43

Good luck Kitty

And don't worry, I never had a single BH

BlindKitty · 08/05/2014 11:50

tally they won't do a GTT again now but they will do a random blood glucose. I know I shouldn't be so set on this birthing centre but I am! It's so perfect!

merk that makes me feel better!

CatsCantFlyFast · 08/05/2014 13:54

What time is your app?

BlindKitty · 08/05/2014 14:39

In an hour. Hopefully I'm stressing about nothing.

I'm also stressing about clothes now as well! Upon closer inspection I've realised a lot of the stuff we've been given has what I presume to be shit stains! Going to put everything on a boil wash. Does anyone know if I can use vanish? Also don't think I have enough baby grows, just a shed load of vests....(stresshead.com)

kitty how your appt went ok

re vanish - I would suggest using it, maybe rubbing in a bit neat first then using in the washer. If it works you can put the clothes on to wash again with just your non bio (or whatever you plan to use for baby stuff).

Not that I am obsessed with online shopping, but maybe just order some more basic/cheapish babygrows then you can stop worrying.
I need to properly sort through the 2nd hand stuff we have into sizes, I have noticed a few bits are a bit more worn and bobbly that I would like so will put those into an emergency pile at the back of the cupboard I think.

Growth scan today was fine, baby measuring ok and approx weight of 5lb 6oz (though we all know these are not that accurate Grin).
Was really busy though - only a 15 minute wait for the scan then over an hour after that to see the doctor, so 2 hours all together. Doctor was lovely, took the time to ask about the rest of me too (asthma, mood general health).

BlindKitty · 08/05/2014 17:13

So good news is I'm not diabetic, bad news is mw thinks she's breech Sad. Got a scan tomorrow at 15.30. Looks like my perfect birth plan is out :-( . I've worked so hard with all my planning, exercise, birthing ball, yoga, etc and now I just feel like it was all pointless. Know it's what I get at the end of it that's important but I still can't help feeling upset..

Sorry foody just seen your post. Glad all was ok. Thanks for the washing / shopping advice..you're clearly ready to be a mum!

Foodylicious · 08/05/2014 18:07

kitty good news about the lack of diabetes, rubbish news about baby maybe being breech.
Dont know how usefull it would be, but have you looked at the spinning babies web site?

BlindKitty · 08/05/2014 19:48

No but I'll get on the case. Feeling a bit better now, well stopped crying anyway haha! Do always say everything happens for a reason so maybe I'm meant to have a c-section. Or maybe the mw is wrong?! Guess we'll see tomorrow

Kitty don't stress yet, they may be wrong. Worth looking for a chiropractor though?
Also if the poo stains are breastfed poo (yellowy) the only thing that will remove them (assuming they've been washed in already) is bright sunlight directly on them

Tallyra · 08/05/2014 21:00

aww kitty, I'm sorry about that. sounds like a similar situation to me though, and although I didn't want a caesarean and I was incredibly upset about not having a water birth, it was the best thing to do and with hindsight a very good thing as Immi's legs were completely straight and natural birth would have been pretty painful. Thanks for you.

BlindKitty · 08/05/2014 21:27

Well I'm going to give them a go anyway. They're very faint stains, I just want everything perfect!

Oh and I swear I've just felt her foot in my ribs!!

MotherOfCleo · 10/05/2014 07:32
