brod how's it going? I found this link helpful on prelabour contractions:
m.birth.com.au/physical-signs-of-prelabour/differences-between-prelabour-contractions-and-first-stage-labour

Fx it all happens soon.
We've had a very chilled day here - hoping for an equally good night with her :-)

Tallyra · 30/04/2014 19:23

Does she have a name yet Poppy?

Brodicea · 30/04/2014 19:59

Thanks for that poppy - sounds pretty normal then. I have had a few more one-off contractions but nothing regular - will see what tonight brings!

Foodylicious · 30/04/2014 21:05

Link bookmarked poppy
Good luck Brod

BlindKitty · 30/04/2014 22:05

Bunnygirlie · 01/05/2014 22:05

Ooh did somebody say baby?!?!?

Sad realised there will be no more berries added to our list for 2014 Sad just Yorkie when she feels brave enough.

CatsCantFlyFast · 02/05/2014 07:03

I thought I saw Otters get a bfp?

BlindKitty · 02/05/2014 07:06

Man it's quiet in here!

OP posts:
Bunnygirlie · 02/05/2014 08:21

Otters? Don't know that berry.

Yep very quiet!

MotherOfCleo · 02/05/2014 10:52

Sneaking in for some time on the baby watch sofa Grin

CatsCantFlyFast · 02/05/2014 15:48

Im quiet because I'm not v good at typing while holding a baby and doing breast compressions and trying to stay awake simultaneously!
How's the sickness for everyone? And constant peeing? And backache? Etc etc

Btw I know hair is supposed to fall out after labour but nobody mentioned my pubes would appear to be snapping off like they've got split ends Shock I am going to write a book...what nobody tells you about pregnancy, birth and your baby (in case you freak out)!

PuppyMummy · 02/05/2014 16:30

im here! 36 weeks tomorrow. very exciting!

been told to start takin my hosp bag to work next week! I'm working til 39 weeks (unless baby wants out!) and HR are panicking about me going into labour in a classroom!!!

BlindKitty · 02/05/2014 21:34

puppy that's prob sensible! I really must check my bag actually! I packed it so long ago I can't even remember what's in it!

Hey all - that pubes thing is disturbing merk!

Sorry for the lack of update - no baby here yet Sad after a very frustrating night on Thursday of strong but irregular contractions and no sleep (fourth night of this) I called maternity assessment at the hospital yet again and spoke to a midwife who reckoned I was experiencing 'uterine irritability' as she didn't believe in pre labour and told me to relax until I experienced shorter contractions closer together. So here I am still having the odd, milder, cramping episode lasting for up to a minute but with no set pattern. I lost my plug and have small amounts of old blood coming out. Managed to sleep between them last night as they were about an hour apart - but having to sleep sitting up. Not convinced whether it is labour, false labour or uterine irritability but very fed up!

BlindKitty · 04/05/2014 08:40

brod haven't heard anything from you since yest so hoping that's a good sign

So yesterday the good shop assistants if Solihull almost felt my pregnancy rage wrath...starting with one in bhs when trying to pay for some bedding. He waited several minutes before telling me I was at the wrong end by which time there was a queue at the other end. All I needed to say was 'are you serious??!?' with a look that could wipe out the third reich and got served!
Then some idiot in boots tried to decline selling me Rennies..not a good idea

Then karma got me back and I lost a munchie in my bump crack...basically looked like I was covered in shit lol (as we're my clothes, the sofa and a cushion) Grin

Hope the other berries are just being quiet as they've got too many exciting bank hol plans!!!

I wonder if I attempt a boodle will this scare people into coming back to the berry copter?!?!? Confused

BlindKitty · 05/05/2014 10:18

What's a 'boodle'?

OP posts:
Bunnygirlie · 05/05/2014 10:26

Don't you remember? She would strip off and dance for us Wink

BlindKitty · 05/05/2014 11:16

Erm I must have missed that lol. I'd offer to do it myself but I'm guessing a big fat pregnant naked dancing woman will put even more people off..

PuppyMummy · 05/05/2014 12:10

ooh-er! I dont remember that either!!

hope everyone is having a relaxing day?

I hav been cleaning this morning and am planning on spending the afternoon relaxing in the conservatory with my kindle and maybe a leisurely dog walk!

Foodylicious · 05/05/2014 12:22

still here!

About go go shopping for a new tumble dryer, ours broke yesterday. Also just paid for car tax and got MOT and service due in next 2 weeks. Going to be a very expensive month!

Started organising hospital bag yesterday and washed all the new little clothes we have so can pack a few sets. was a bit scary and emotional on & off all day.

In baby news, today I seem to have the most wriggly baby in the world! cant even sit up properly for more than half a minute so driving is going to be fun. Also bump is feeling HEAVY today, probably not helped by turning over in bed so many times the last 2 nights, is a bit sore really Sad
