jessplussomeonenew · 16/06/2014 07:43

Ooh, more progress updates - losing a bit of plug seems a good sign that things are really moving now! Smile

jessplussomeonenew · 16/06/2014 07:45

Spoke too soon and x-posted, have a nice energy-restoring sleep!

Foodylicious · 16/06/2014 07:51

Tallyra · 16/06/2014 17:27

Feather, not foolish at all. I was really sick from 6w and so everyone knew because I was in hosp. It was nice for ppl to be aware and not to wonder what was going on. It's a different situation for you I hope though.

PuppyMummy · 16/06/2014 20:14

sounds like things r goin in the right direction foody!

RevoltingPeasant · 16/06/2014 20:17

Hello everyone! I thought I would join your thread if you don't mind. I may be suffering slightly from hideous all day morning sickness at the moment.....

I am a recent graduate of the Berries and got my bfp about three weeks ago after 12-13 mos trying plus added aggro beforehand as DH has erectile dysfunction. So it was a genuine turkey baster bfp! I didn't come over earlier as last week I had a scary cramp-n-bleed session lasting several days. But today I had EPU scan and all is well. I am 7+0 so early days, but all normal.

I see Foody is getting going......? I remember you from the Berries! Exciting Grin

Will now go and rtft.

Bunnygirlie · 16/06/2014 21:13

Come on baby foody

Yay [RP] lovely to have some new recruits Grin

Sorry you are feeling rotten, I had all day sickness from about 6 weeks, hardly ever vommed but the nausea was hideous. Mine has tailed off to just morning sickness now which I am fed up with! Hope you have more luck!

greatbigbushybeard · 16/06/2014 21:27

Yay, hello rp!! Sorry about the bleurgh! Haven't had any sickness yet... Hoping that's normal. Just tired!!

jessplussomeonenew · 16/06/2014 21:40

Welcome to the chopper RP - you will find sick bags in the seat pocket in front of you for your use during the flight Smile

Glad your scan went well - hope the cramps have cleared up. I had horrible sickness from week six onwards but was lucky that it cleared up about week 13 which was a huge relief. Hope you're managing to keep reasonably hydrated and eating, even weird stuff!

I should probably introduce myself for new chopper berries as I didn't join Mumsnet at all until a while after my bfp, so missed out on Berry HQ. I'm now 29+3 after a natural bfp which came just before we were due to go back to the fertility clinic for ivf after 2 years unexplained IF.

qazxc · 16/06/2014 21:52

For the 1st trimester nausea, I recommend those motion sickness armbands. Doesn't solve the problem but did improve it a bit (although it might just have been the placebo effect).

CatsCantFlyFast · 16/06/2014 22:09

Puppy how ARE you and puplet?

RP urgh the nausea is hideous. Remember that it will pass at some point, even though it can feel like the end of the world at times get yourself some pregnancy multi vits and try to take them at a time you can keep them down...always made me feel better to know I at least had some vitamins in my system. Especially as the main thing that I are during the sickness months were crisps and biscuits and cheese and general crap. Eat what you can and eat frequently, I think everybody agrees you feel worse with an empty stomach. So you may need to keep food by the bed and eat as soon as you wake

Bunnygirlie · 16/06/2014 22:40

Mine hasn't passed merk Sad Angry Envy

PuppyMummy · 16/06/2014 23:04

hi merk Smile
were good. puplet has the hang of feeding now which means more feeding and less sleeping!

next week im on my own as OH back at work! (eeeek!)

my stupid stitches are annoying me. Not healing well and I can't walk far for fear of making it worse. am goin to see Dr to check they r ok. other than that im good!

hope u r ok? kitty how are you?

Tallyra · 17/06/2014 00:20

hi bushy and rp!! A new wave of berries is exciting!!

rp, do keep an eye on your fluid intake. if you get so sick that you can't keep anything down, e aware that there is a condition called hyperemesis gravidarum, which is like morning sickness on steroids. it can require hospital drip treatment if it gets too. ad (dont want to scare you, just warn you. Tk to a sympathetic gp a d there ARE meds that are safe to take while pregnant for nausea. doesn't fix the problem but it helps.

FeatherFeather11 · 17/06/2014 08:11

Bleurgh! The sickness has kicked in over here. Green around the gills but no actual being sick.

rp I'm 6w + 5 today so we're around the same! So pleased everything went well for you at the scan.

qaz Saw that arm band in the pharmacy the other day. In pale pink or blue. Thought it would look too obvious to wear to work?

At last Fridays scan, I asked about the left ovary pains and the the FC nurse said that my ovary was swollen and that was what is causing the issue. Did some googling last night and it said that it can cause miscarriage. Is that a load of crap or should I go see the docs?

Any news foody?

Bunnygirlie · 17/06/2014 08:20

Hi puppy glad all is well even if you aren't sleeping! Are you completely in love?!? Smile

feather RP yep the nausea/sickness is rotten. As Tally said if you cant keep liquid or any food down you must go to your doctor!!!
I survived by eating, lots! Crackers by your bed to munch before you get out of bed, when I started gagging I found a glass of Apple juice also helped. Toast instead of cereals, beige stodge def helped me! As soon as I got hungry I got nauseous! I couldn't brush my teeth with an electric toothbrush for a while or use minty toothpaste/chewing gum!

Crikey that was a bit if a woffle, not sure if sharing my experiences will help Hmm

CatsCantFlyFast · 17/06/2014 09:20

Feather i think its pretty normal to have a swollen ovary after ovulation. You would have a cyst on it which an be pretty big

FeatherFeather11 · 17/06/2014 11:41

Thanks merk I seem to be fretting a lot at the moment.

CatsCantFlyFast · 17/06/2014 11:43

Feather the fretting is totally normal. Keep posting and asking questions. Hopefully we can help reassure you

RevoltingPeasant · 17/06/2014 19:20

Jess (or "Jesus" as my iPad prefers), wow 29+3 feels far away! Will you have any more scans between now and DDay?

Tally, yes I know about that.... "Just like Kate Middleton!" As a friend remarked Hmm I did actually worry about that on Sunday as I couldn't keep water down for much of the day, but I haven't been actually ill for the last two days and am managing small regular meals.

Merk yes they are completely beige Grin I actually gagged at DH lovely fresh organic veggie stir fry last night and made myself pasta shapes with packet sauce. Unimpressed is not the word for him!

Foody any news???

RevoltingPeasant · 17/06/2014 19:21

Oh and yes Feather the EPU gave me an EDD of 3rd Feb 2015 although it seems presumptuous to even think about it too much prior to 12w scan. Have first midwife appt a week tomorrow - are you booked in yet?
