Congrats qaz and foody I hear there are babies in town Smile Grin

Bunnygirlie · 17/06/2014 20:35

Feather I survived on pasta, sauce and cheese and jacket spuds and cheese!!!

RevoltingPeasant · 17/06/2014 21:09

Babies as in more than one??

qazxc · 17/06/2014 21:22

Yes,somebody decided to come early. My waters broke at 6 this morning and qazlet (Eleanor) was born by ends at nine fifteen. We are both doing well, if a bit sore and shellshocked :-).

RevoltingPeasant · 17/06/2014 21:28

Oh CONGRATULATIONS and what a lovely name! How much did she weigh? Was it a hospital jobbie? How early was she?

Sooo Envy and this time it's not a puny face Grin

RevoltingPeasant · 17/06/2014 21:29

jessplussomeonenew · 17/06/2014 21:30

Yes, two new berry babies today Smile - congratulations to Qaz and Foody.

RP, I can't quite believe how far along I am - seems no time since I was in your situation! I have extra growth scans at 28, 32 and 36 weeks; at the nuchal scan one of my blood results (Papp-A) was very low. I had a Harmony test to reassure me about Downs etc, but levels that low are sometimes linked to slow growth later in pregnancy so the scans are to check all is well - all bang on so far Smile and it's lovely to see the baby again!

Puppy, glad all is well with you and little Puplet!

Feather, sorry you've succumbed to the sickness too! Beige or well chilled food is often the way to go. I found grapes worked well for me - sugar, hydration and vitamins in small nibbleable packages!

jessplussomeonenew · 17/06/2014 21:31

Lovely name Qaz!

FeatherFeather11 · 17/06/2014 21:34

Congrats qaz and foody!! How wonderful! qaz sounds like it was quick! And Eleanor is a beautiful name. Flowers

rp not made an appointment yet. I went to epu for my scan and then was given a self referral form to fill out and give to the maternity(?) ward. They just said they'd be in touch via post within 10 days with 12w scan details. I did ask the FC nurse who did my scan whether I should let my gp know and she said not to bother as they would just refer me to the hospital anyway. Hmm. Confused now. Should I just wait for this hosp letter?

FeatherFeather11 · 17/06/2014 21:37

Thanks jess. Grapes are a good idea. I've eaten lots of small sour-ish plums which seemed to help. Feeling ok this afternoon/evening. Sounds a lot of scans. I'm really interested in the Harmony test and well as private scans but oh is really against it all and he won't be clear about why. Grrr.

Bunnygirlie · 17/06/2014 21:43

feather that seems odd! after FC released me back to care of my GP I was told to register with midwife for booking in.

Qaz yes lovely name, so chuffed for you. All ok? Weren't you having a c-sec?

RevoltingPeasant · 17/06/2014 21:44

Oh I don't know Feather. Round our way, you ring the GP reception and just say you are pg and want to book in with the midwife. I think you need to see her before the 12w scan? I'd ring your GP to check.

FeatherFeather11 · 17/06/2014 22:22

Yep, all sounds odd. Might give the fc a call in the morning.

Any word from bushy?

CatsCantFlyFast · 17/06/2014 22:22

Qaz I thought your section was tomorrow so feel better now knowing qazlet came early rather than me getting your dates wrong! Am assuming your phone changed emcs to ends, ie she was still breech. Must have been a huge shock, congratulations

CatsCantFlyFast · 17/06/2014 22:25

Feather your self referral is perfectly normal, lots of places do that instead of you having to see your GP (who just fills in the same form on your behalf). If you want to check your form has got to the right place google the number for the community midwives in your area, but I wouldn't worry as it sounds as though you've done what you need to and you will get a booking in appointment and your 12 week scan appointment through the post

FeatherFeather11 · 17/06/2014 22:28

Thanks Prof Merk!

greatbigbushybeard · 17/06/2014 22:29

I haven't got sickness but I've got the shits , ironic Smile
Was our Godson's birthday so was round for little play, on way out his mum says about his brother still having a funny tummy. They've all had the shits and doctor said it could carry on for 2 weeks with little ones. I have since got in, eaten tea and then had terrible stomach cramps and voila I have the shits!! I do often suffer with stomach problems and have a sensitive stomach so can just have the shits anyway but...!! Think if it carries on will have to think about whether I go into work tomorrow. We always tell the kids not to so maybe I shouldn't. But then again will, prob be fine and have work and training tomorrow too. Not sure if I need to worry re the pregnancy, just try to drink more water.

Re the sickness, almost feeling stupidly left out! Hoping it's not a bad sign I don't have any so far but if it means all is well then I'm happy to avoid it.

Haven't booked in with midwife at gp yet, will do when have day off.

Exciting baby arrivals- congrats!!

FeatherFeather11 · 17/06/2014 23:52

bushy maybe you've got The Sickness from the, err, other end? Could be a hormonal thing rather than viral? Hope you're feeling better soon. My sickness is nothing to write home about - just the odd wave of low level nausea.

greatbigbushybeard · 17/06/2014 23:55

Good lord I hope it doesn't continue as morning sickness out the other end, they'll be nothing left of me and the school will be in debt investing in air freshner!! We'll see, it doesn't feel good.

BlindKitty · 18/06/2014 07:24

qaz omg congrats! Another pink one! Did you have a breech birth then? You're so brave!

foody well done you, will pop to fb to see if any new info

puppy we're great thanks! Just having a skin to skin feed here as want to gill her up as got a busy morning. How about you? Glad you've mastered bf. it's hard at times isn't it?!

feather can understand your Dhs concerns re harmony. I was petrified of the nuchal fold test at first but then did have it in the end anyway. If the bloods or nuchal fold come back suspicious they'll send you for further tests anyway so you might be best saving your money

bushy re telling people, I told all my close friends and family quite early on. Best friends and parents knew within a fortnight! I'm just rubbish at keeping secrets! Also, if the worst did happen I'd want all my friend's support so just told them

Seems quit strange here now. Almost like the end of an era for me . Have spent so long in berry hq and now here and have now got my baby and there's all new berries needing the thread. Don't get me wrong, I'm overjoyed with the end result but will seem strange to leave given it's played such a big part of my life for so long
