Good Luck to all those Preggers after a miscarriage. Soon you'll be holding your bundels of joy, and be in total shock that they have finally arrived, believe me, I was and still am.

Wishingchair - I remember you, congratulations and make sure you rest as much as possible now.

had my scan today. I'm 6+4 instead of the 10 i thought i was! I did the test in family planning 3 weeks ago, where the nurse said it went positive straight away so cant be v early! so im a bit confused. heart was beating and everything, but wouldnt 3 weeks ago been too early to test and be a strong positive? would have been 3+4, which was be 10 days after conception? my last period was in may. I know i could have ovulated at any time as i was on the pill! Im scared that it just hasnt grown?? is this possible? gota go back in 4 weeks to get a better date. My boyfriend thinks im being silly, but what do you lot think? Dont worry about hurting my feelings!!! i NEED to know

Sorry for waffling, just a bit confused.

thank mygirl. Last time the baby stopped growing at 7 weeks, so not safe yet really. i suppose i could have heard a heartbeat if i had had a 6 week scan last time?!? not sure though.
The nurse was crap. i tried asking her some quetions, like wouldnt it have been too early to test and she just said maybe!, and 'thats what its measuring' like i was saying the scan was wrong - which i wasnt. grumpy old witch
Ive got a scan on the 5th sep now! So more waiting!!

titchy77 · 08/08/2006 18:50

I am still totally paranoid that i'm goning to m/c i'm 13 weeks on thurs had a scan at 11 wks but it wasn't very clear as i didn't have a full bladder.
Do you ever stop worring i cant wait for my next scan but its not till end sept, all i think about is that i'm going to m/c again i really cannot relax no matter how hard i try.
I live in Middlesex just to add on to my stats!!

Hello Mia and Titchy - I was exactly the same as you, really refused to believe that it would be OK until I was well past the twelve week scans, but it does gradually get better. One thing that did help me was some advice I got from the reflexologist who was treating me. She said try and imagine the little heartbeat surrounded by a warm pink glow of welcome. This may sound a bit new agey, but I think it did help me relax and feel as if I was doing something...

Mygirl - twice? that's good going. I've lost count already. And today I had to go in twice to be tested for gestational diabetes - one blood test with no breakfast, then filthy tasting glucose drink, then another blood test two hours later and finally breakfast. Which did taste quite good when I got to it.

How's everyone else doing?

shhhh · 09/08/2006 12:49

good luck to those of you waiting and congrats to those of you with your bundles.

I know how it is. xx

wishingchair · 09/08/2006 17:37

Hi Mia - I tested at about 3 weeks and got a positive result ... it was faint but definitely positive so maybe not too early to test. The downside is you end up feeling you are pregnant FOREVER!

Still no baby from me ... one day overdue and no twinges. Sigh.

chickster1981 · 09/08/2006 21:52

afternoon everyone!

Wishingchair - good to hear from you, and hope we hear something v soon...

Chickster - 20 weeks is great - it must be so great to feel that you can get excited about it now. And we'll all want to hear how the scan goes on Monday!

mygirl - I'm with your dh, still don't quite believe that in eleven weeks or so we may have a real live baby. Haven't had one before, you see, and so am coping by pretending it's not going to happen at all. It's now only seven weeks until I stop work - which may at least stop me strangling my boss...

caitlinsmummy · 12/08/2006 09:35

hey everyone, not been on for while. ia m now 10+4 and still so worried am still gonna miscarry. even tho i have had 4 scans so far and seen heartbeat 3 times. last time was a week ago. am i bein paranoid? xxx

time4tea · 13/08/2006 14:51

hello CMummy, you're not alone. I'm 12 weeks pg tomorrow, and not due the 12 week/nuchal translucency scan until next Tuesday (22/8) - it is really, really getting to me. I found out about the mc last time at the 12 wk scan, it was a missed mc and I had been feeling really unwell until then, so having amazing tiredness and being off my food a bit still isn't reassuring. I just can't feel able enough to concentrate on anything, or focus, and just feel completely demoralised.

sorry to just go bleurch with lots of fears.... DS crying downstairs, must go...

time4tea · 13/08/2006 17:32

was feeling so miserable, then I dug out this thread from a few weeks ago which was excellent. read from the start CaitlinsMummy - its full of top tips!

off now to follow a bit of my own smug advice!

Caitlinsmummy, I know just how you feel. For me it's as if I don't dare to think that this might go right; almost as if it'd be tempting fate to imagine a good ending. Me, I'm in a bit of a panic about my second scan, tomorrow morning - I've been feeling suspiciously un-tired, un-queasy, fairly full of energy. Which makes me worry... I guess all we can do is try and take each day as it comes, and not think too much about what's going to happen. Wish it were easier to do! Have you any milestones to look forward to - next midwife appointment, next scan?

twocatsonthebarricades · 13/08/2006 22:13

Hello everyone,

Littlefrog, time4tea and caitlinsmummy, it is hard, but at least here there are other people in the same boat - I think it's impossible for anyone who hasn't had a m/c to understand. Even at 29 weeks I still touch wood every time I talk about the baby coming - like you littlefrog, it feels like tempting fate.

Littlefrog - good luck for the scan tomorrow, do let us know how it goes.

tcx
