pixie don't be mistaken lol - we have collected tokens in the sun for a caravan holiday to Dorset hahaa, but as you say the car is a issue, we may have to hire one

Cybercat · 16/01/2014 17:54

Glad it's better christine! that's so exciting you're getting married and abroad! what a year you are going to have.

fod we went on our first caravan holiday last year after selling our ancient campervan and we loved it! it was most spacious after our vw!

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 16/01/2014 19:30

Well my scan today was LOVE. Smile
I was so anxious after the last one, it was so disheartening. I asked as soon as I went in, that I get to see a screen, that I was talked through what they were looking at, and that I would really like a picture.
The sonographer was a bit Shock that I didn't get this last time.
Anyway, there was Ryvita, wriggling about being difficult like usual! We had a close up of her teeny tiny ear, and her fingers, it was lovely.
Her measurements are all looking good, and her abdomen has gone down to a more acceptable size. Smile Smile
I then had lunch in the pub with my lovely friend, and then another couple of feiends appeared and one of them had her gorgeous 4 month old with her. I got a cuddle and everything. He was sooo gorgeous.
Its been a lovely day. Smile
finishing on a high note with a reduced price tiramisu in the coop for my supper! Grin

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 16/01/2014 19:32

You out there Aly? How did yours go?

still hanging out with the Martians? They all ok?
Hello to all of the newbies. glad you are all hanging in there. xx

pgchimp · 16/01/2014 20:02

cyber you did introduce yourself but the threads end after 1000 posts so we had to start a new one.

all the first trimester crew, keep giving yourself little targets each day, it really helps.

saggy sounds like you had a lovely day.Mmm tiramisu!

kjh5 · 16/01/2014 20:03

Hello everyone!

Yay SaggY what lovely news :) Glad little Ryvita is doing so well, got properly teared up reading your post

Hope everything is ok aly

Christine that is so exciting about your wedding! I find it easier to lose weight when I have something to focus on, bet it drops off you :)

I'm on enforced couch-rest while DH cooks dinner. Unfortunately for him our living room/kitchen is one room and I can see what he is doing - I have been told he is going to come over here and sellotape my mouth shut if I don't stop backseat cooking Grin seriously though, he is messing up my sausage and mash!

fod27 · 16/01/2014 20:15

saggy I'm so pleased for you! It's about time you had some loveliness your way xxx

Cybercat · 16/01/2014 20:24

pg thank you! I did know that the threads have a post count but I think I hit 'hide' with my fat fingers last week and lost the thread from my 'Im on' list, I think I lost a pregnancy one too. Woops!

Glad to hear you had a lovely scan Saggy I live reading about peoples scans.

Pixielady83 · 16/01/2014 21:12

hi cyber lovely to see you here Smile

saggy that sounds like a great scan, love that you saw little ears!

TeaAndANatter · 17/01/2014 10:16

Lovely scan news Saggy, here's to a fat tummied pink one for you!

Glad to find the thread - how fast are these filling up?!

Too tired to work much today. Feeling very guilty as I've got lots to do, and I really do need to do it, but genuinely might need to do it at the weekend and just lie with the newspapers today. Really over done work and work stress this week. Zzzzzz.

alicebear · 17/01/2014 12:18

Hello all
saggy glad this scan was much better than last time.
aly been thinking of you & hope you had good news at yours.

baking fingers crossed all is fine for you today.

rock hello again. Lovely to see you here & sounds like all is going well & not too long to go.

I'm 17+5 and think I am starting to feel occasional movement /fluttering but then I can go a day without feeling anything which makes me fret. Is it normal to be a bit random at this early stage? Roll on 20 wk scan it seems a long time since the last one.

Hope everyone else doing OK.

bakingtins · 17/01/2014 13:13

Massive relief - all is looking ok at 20 week scan and we are team pink! The only concern is baby is slightly small, about 19+2 so a few days behind or about 5th centile for a 20 weeker, but I already have growth scans booked because of the steroids and sonographer not too concerned. I got a really long look at her because there was a student who repeated the scan when the sonographer had finished, and we got lots of (free) pictures. Smile

alicebear · 17/01/2014 14:29

Yay baking so pleased for you Smile

Polka2 · 17/01/2014 14:58

Saggy and baking great, pink scan news! Grin

Armadale · 17/01/2014 15:07

Hi everyone, I've been lurking since the last thread and then lost you all, so I'm just marking my place.

Wonderful news about your scans, BakingTins and Saggy. I love a good scan story Grin

I had a good 10w scan yesterday so my scan doom has abated slightly.

I have to have my booking in app next week and I really, really don't want to do it. I had an extremely bad experience with my late loss that I won't bore on about but I find myself in real difficulty at the thought of having to actually sit in the same room as a midwife next week. Has anyone else had a similar issue and how did you get through it?

hi everyone, I haven't written in a while so belated congratulations on the good scans for penguin and ember; and more recently, baking, saggy and arma! I hope yours was good too aly

Welcome to our latest newbies!

All's good here, a bit tired but really enjoying being a mum second time round! DD1 is behaving a bit better so that's helping. I hope you're all well. Much love to you all! x

ChristineDaae · 17/01/2014 17:04

Hi all, great scan news all round. Baking so happy everything is going well for you after the journey you have had! Congrats on team pink!

I can't think of any team blues on the thread apart from pig? Aren't you blue x2? We're team yellow, for the next few days anyway Grin I'm giving up on being desperate for baby to come, mainly because DD has a cold and was up about 15 times last night so I'm just too tired for labour right now! I'm being naughty and having a cheekyWine and chill night with DP tonight to take my mind off it.

Yayyyy tins soooo pleased for you!!!

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 17/01/2014 17:27

Hello all, I'm sorry I havent been around for a while, I've been realy struggling and trying to get my head together. I'm just about there and finally starting to look forward to this baby's arrival! We found out just before christmas its a boy and after havg 2 girls I'm wondering how I'm going to cope! We've had a couple of scares in the hospital due to reduced movements, with the last time it taking 15 minutes to locate the heartbeat, scary stuff, but its all good. He is happy and healthy. I have a GTT booked for next month and we'll also find out if an induction is possible (dd2 was 10lb 9oz!)

Congrats to all the new babies born, I see there was a huge influx in December. And lots of new faces in the group. I hope your all doing well.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 17/01/2014 17:44

Yay! For good scans!
Christine it'll be tonight. Because tonight is the only night in 9 months when your breath will smell of wine! Grin
CBeebies its so good to. see you back! Smile
Anyone seen Aly?

ladies I had to share this!! A lady on my Facebook is 30 weeks and reckons that she is "still in size 12 jeans" firstly she wasn't a 12 before! Secondly how the hell has she figured that out? Poor bump would be crushed and last of all.... If you care soooooo much about your precious figure surely you shouldn't be having a baby??? I mean there's going to be much more to sacrifice lol
