Open to all elderberry grads and anyone who fits the berry criteria: over 30, first trimester(ish) with #1 after trying for a long time, and nervous as hell. Come on in for handholding and nub theory!

Pink ladies and manchego though? Mmmmmm

kitty heh @ 'literally wet myself (but not really)' Grin unable to defer mother in law, she's over from Spain!

mother don't let it upset you, engaged or not at 38wks the head will end up where it needs to be when labour begins. What merk said, ignore the midwives, engagement is irrelevant at this stage, just trust that your body does know what it's doing! X

mother it i'll come out when it's ready no matter what charts and midwi ves say, every pg is different. I know that you are mad keen to meet your baby but try and relax and look after/treat yourself.
kitty apparently according to DP man flu is no laughing matter, said with full on serious face as if discussing major worldwide catastrophe. Grin
boom hope Mr Boom is feeling better, will mrs Boom Sr be helping you with the acute care that a man flu patient needs?

Great news today, hcg results from yesterday (5 wks + 0) and they're 6701!! At this point last time they were 140. Maybe it is twins Confused

Foodylicious · 25/10/2013 10:44

BF is very excited at the idea of twins, but trying not to get carried away. Should find out in a couple of weeks at the 7 week scan.

At this point though I'm just so happy to know that things are progressing well.

'Morning' sickness is very strange - (TMI ALERT) just been nausea 24/7 until 4 days ago, then sick before breakfast, 3 days ago afterwards, last 2 days before and after! It is odd though, at the time I don't feel like it ever going to stop, then all of a sudden by body is done (for now at least). Glad I am already off work or this would be a nightmare.
Feeling pretty sick all day and super tired in the afternoons. Will get my blood pressure and iron checked maybe next week too, bit light headed and breathless sometimes. had to pace in a que for 10 minutes yesterday and felt faint when I stood still - anyone else got any tips on this, I know there are a few of you who have actually been proper poorly, not just a bit sickly like this.

Thankfully I made myself try some peppermint tea and its quite nice - nothing like it smellsGrin

Its a rubbish cold tally I still have the remnants of it and the cough 3 weeks after it started. drinking lots of ginger, lemon and honey tea too Smile.

i am also HUGE! my OH has noticed and thinks the bump is cute - shame it is just fat and bloating - he keeps pointing it out (in a nice way) but it just makes me laugh cause its all fat, fat, fat!!!

I love the idea of twins angelina! it would be pretty cool!

What are peeps doing for Halloween? - personally I am not much of a fan and find people knocking on my door in the dark quite intimidating so will probably be hiding upstairs watching a film or 2 in bed.

Good morning Ladies I'm afraid I'm out of the helicopter Sad after EPU appointment I know that the BFP is not going to stay and my body hasn't quite let go of the hormones yet- first time we got to the BFP stage but I know we will again eventually . I wish everyone happy and healthy pregnancies.

Foodylicious · 26/10/2013 11:17

Oh Piper, I am so very sorry Flowers. Be good to yourself over the next little bit, hugs.

Tallyra · 26/10/2013 11:31

oh no! I'm so sorry piper. I know from experience that it's bloody hard when that happens. don't beat yourself up about it and keep positive. I know, that's not easy. you will get there, it just wasn't quite right this time.

Boomgoestheweasel · 26/10/2013 11:55

So sorry piper, such hard news to hear. Take things easy, and hope you get your sticky bfp soon x Thanks

PoppySeedBun · 26/10/2013 12:18

piper so, so sorry to hear that. The first few weeks are really so precarious. Take as much time as you need to absorb this and come to terms - it may need more time than you think.
If you can take any comfort at all, you have a BFP now, so it can happen. I had a MMC at 9 wks in April (though stopped at 6) after TTC 2.5 yrs and got my second BFP in August and now I'm 14 wks.
Fingers crossed we see you back here v soon. Thanks

BlindKitty · 26/10/2013 13:26

Oh piper I can't tell you how sorry I am. We're all here for you whenever you need us xxx

CatsCantFlyFast · 26/10/2013 15:19

piper I'm so sorry. It won't help today but remember this will happen again for you xxx

qazxc · 26/10/2013 17:14

piper I'm so sorry. Look after yourself and DP. Don't try and rush yourself back to "normal", take all the time you need. hope to see you back on the copter soon. Thanks

PuppyMummy · 26/10/2013 18:22

Really sorry to hear this piper Sad

Thundercatsarego · 27/10/2013 07:45

Just to echo the others, I'm really sorry too piper, this is so hard and horrible. You're right though, you can get a bfp and you will get another soon. Sometimes I wonder if some of us need a warm up bfp before the sticky one works out. I'm sure that can't be true but it does seem to happen that a lot of people have a really early loss and then it works out fine soon after.

Anyway Thanks for you, look after yourself x x
