Open to all elderberry grads and anyone who fits the berry criteria: over 30, first trimester(ish) with #1 after trying for a long time, and nervous as hell. Come on in for handholding and nub theory!

kitty snap! last 2 nights I woke up at 3am & 4.30am and took an hour to get back to sleep. or not as my alarm goes off at 5.45!

just decided in the shower that my boobs dont hurt as much as they did, so now im going to worry about that for a while!

Boomgoestheweasel · 23/09/2013 20:52

puppy the NHS site will assume that you ovulated 14 days before the end of your cycle, so if you have a shorter cycle then it will put you further on (even if you know when you ovulated and it wasn't then!). Were you temping/OPK-ing? If not, I'd go with the NHS guesstimate for now because it puts you further on so your scans will be sooner and we all hate waiting for scans

Kitty we aren't scary! Ooh not long until scan, although obviously it probably feels like a year away, given that mine is this Weds and is NEVER GOING TO ARRIVE..

PuppyMummy · 23/09/2013 21:01

Not spoke to doctors or anyone yet. waiting to poas on fri before I do anything!

I can guess what u mean about scans. I can't even imagine being 12 weeks pregnant atm!

not long to go kitty!

BlindKitty · 23/09/2013 21:10

puppy I don't belong here either! Maybe we need another thread altogether for the 'berries who are too scared to go in the copter' haha?! Only messing, we love (and need) our fellow berries! Re the sleep deprivation, I've had it every night for 2 1/2 weeks! So not like me!

Just settling into midwives and eying up potential candidates as its at my hospital again this week!

BlindKitty · 23/09/2013 21:24

And for anyone watching, the clinic where the student is is the same surgery I do my clinic at!!!!

Thundercatsarego · 23/09/2013 21:26

I'm watching I'm watching!

Thundercatsarego · 23/09/2013 21:40

This is scary :-S

Boomgoestheweasel · 23/09/2013 21:52

They make it look WAY worse than it is. I promise!

Thundercatsarego · 23/09/2013 21:55

Did you just see the last one that went into shock?

CatsCantFlyFast · 23/09/2013 22:15

Argh enough to terrify anyone!
Haven't had chance to read back yet and am about to sleep as only a pregnant woman can. However thunder saw you'd told your boss, congrats... Bet the relief now you've done it is great!

CatsCantFlyFast · 23/09/2013 22:18

Chuckling as I add to the dairy obsession, though mine was not laughing cow or Philadelphia.... I went for dairylea!

BlindKitty · 24/09/2013 03:29

Just checking in for the 3.00 wake up Hmm

PuppyMummy · 24/09/2013 06:48

morning all

Kitty hope u got back to sleep? I slept through last night!

Had a look at early scans yesterday. considering one at 8 or 9 weeks, just to find out if there is something in there

BlindKitty · 24/09/2013 07:09

puppy I did think of you at 3.00 actually! Yeh always get back to sleep just generally takes me at least an hour. In currently in the spare bed as the marital bed just wasn't getting me back to sleep!

Boomgoestheweasel · 24/09/2013 07:39

My wakeup/wee trip was 5am this morning. Thought I'd escaped the insomnia for now but noooooo!

Tomorrow is scan day! Hooray/arggggh

Thundercatsarego · 24/09/2013 07:51

It's nearly here boom- hooray!

That's merk, yes I think it is a relief, it's just dawning on me slowly! Where are your extra scan pics and bump pic eh? Eh?

I usually love dairy and will drink milk when I'm thirsty but this bean is having none of it. Ribena is my new best friend.

PoppySeedBun · 24/09/2013 09:04

Hello berries - sorry for extended silence. Had a rotten weekend. Was supposed to go away, but just couldn't face it so did lots of moping on sofa. If I don't get some toast before 8am, the rest if the day's a write-off, so couldn't even enjoy lie-ins.

tally glad to hear you're eating a little bit and that you're being taken care of. Hope it gets better from here.

puppy welcome! Don't worry, we're all fairly clueless here Smile Re: early scans, I found 8 wk one very reassuring and we could see heartbeat.

thunder well done on telling your boss. Mine knows, but now feeling that I really ought to tell my team, as I've been such a slacker recently and they've been picking up the pieces.
Oh, and I'm with you on dairy - can't stomach anything. Been going through epic quantities of toast though.

boom hope today goes quickly for you. We're all looking forward to some great pics from the scan tomorrow.

MotherOfCleo · 24/09/2013 09:23

thunder poppy I found that I couldnt stomach anything rich during the first weeks, the one time I threw up was because I had a pasta in cheese sauce. It does pass honestly, sucks while you're going through it though.

CatsCantFlyFast · 24/09/2013 09:40

Oh I'm having a problem with pics, every time I upload one it over writes the previous one. Has anyone else had this?

Thundercatsarego · 24/09/2013 09:55

I can't figure out the pics thing on here merk. Mine were appearing twice last time I tried.

moc I'm nearly 15 weeks and still feeling rough and sick. Still waiting for it to pass....

boom what time is your scan?

MotherOfCleo · 24/09/2013 09:58

Well that sucks doesn't it thunder Sad, I hear that for most people around 16 weeks is the magic time, shall keep everything crossed for you!

I have noticed my tastes change too and odd things I used to hate, like the smell of petrol, I now like. My body is doing some seriously random stuff!

Thundercatsarego · 24/09/2013 09:59

I hope so moc, particularly as I have a wedding to get through my own in a few weeks time and really hope I'm feeling better for it!

MotherOfCleo · 24/09/2013 10:03

Merk that sounds really annoying, I've not had that problem I'm afraid.

Just looked at your picture and wow merk that's a proper little person, so so exciting!!!!!

Time is really flying, seems like you guys only found out a few days ago and now a lot of you are in double figures! Grin so exciting!

MotherOfCleo · 24/09/2013 10:05

WOW Thunder how amazing!!! HUGE congrats Grin so bloody exciting! I'm not even bleedin' engaged yet! Although he has told me to expect a ring next year some time which is something after 7 years!

Wowsers, such an exciting time for you then! Grin Hope you feel better soon!!!
