Really?? I thought it was more like 1/1000?

Foodylicious · 22/10/2013 11:54

Lovely thunder, just lovely Grin

Feeling rather sick in camp Foody - have a nausea for last 2 weeks which eating has made better (so have been eating almost constantly). It stepped up a notch from yesterday, eating not helping and a bit hard to do. Woke up at 05.45 when OH got up this morn, felt sick within minutes and had to get up to vom. Had some toast and felt better for about half an hour, felt queezy since, managed a bit more sleep, but feeling very bleugh and sicky.
Still have cough and cold which is not helping, moan, moan, moan!
Need to do a bit of shopping so going to have an early lunch and go out, fx.

This is however better than the ridiculous mentaling I have been doing the last few days, convinced its all gone wrong.

Feeling positive today, but still quite a nutter Grin

Tallyra · 22/10/2013 12:55

hugs foody. its a horrible feeling. keep an eye on yourself.

you are probably nowhere as bad as i was, but if you start having trouble keeping hydrated then buy some ketostix from the chemist. a lot of doctors ignore sickness like mine until it gets bad enough to go to hospital, but be careful xxxxx

hello kat - nice to see you back here! All well with you?

Sorry to hear you're feeling rough, foody - I sympathise. Go with toast and more toast, and try and make sure to eat something before you go for a nap. Seems to help me.

thunder love the pirate look - mine looked like a boxer at 12wks! Grin

Foodylicious · 22/10/2013 15:28

I find Tums the best for reflux, just don't eat the blue ones, they are rank. Really don't get on with Rennies for some reason Hmm

Boomgoestheweasel · 22/10/2013 15:39

Hello kat! How've you been?

So I've booked myself into a pregnancy yoga class tonight, just tried on my tracky bottoms and I can't fit in them. Argh I know, I know, first world problems

Vest and pants for you then boom. Like when you used to forget your kit at primary school.

If love to try pregnancy yoga, not sure what's going on locally or how much it is.

Hope it settles foody

Foodylicious · 22/10/2013 16:14

Tee hee at vest and pants thunder! Grin

MotherOfCleo · 22/10/2013 16:46

boom I do preggo yoga, I'd recommend it, it's fab!! I wouldn't worry too much, most of the women at my class wear leggings and a tshirt or long baggy top Grin

BlindKitty · 22/10/2013 18:14

thunder that's fab scan news! You can see his/hers fingers so clearly! Was secretly hoping you'd come back and say you'd asked the sex pffftt!

boom thunder just hot a leaflet for preg yoga. It's £7.50 here! Daylight robbery!

angelina try gaviscon, small frequent meals, avoiding anything too fatty/spicy, peppermint tea, eat slowly and avoi anything heavy late at night. re reducing gas avoid talking when you're eating and avoid fizzy drinks. In theory, if you were to have twins you could see it on the 6 week scan but I do know someone who didn't find out until 20 weeks! Maybe one was behind the other or something?

So just had midwife appointment. Only think that slightly worried me was that because I'd had a procedure to freeze off some cells of my cervix about 13 years ago I'm deemed higher risk so got to have a consultant appointment at 20 weeks to decide if I can go back to midwife care. Sure it will be ok though

CatsCantFlyFast · 22/10/2013 18:24

Blind consultant care is a bonus... you're more likely to get extra scans!

I had a dream the other night that I found out I was having twins at my 20 week scan. however also had a dream my baby was born with a hole in it's head, and a different dream where it got stuck behind my public bone and only it's hands and feet had room to grow to normal size

CatsCantFlyFast · 22/10/2013 18:25

sorry blind - i meant to say i'm sure it's just a precaution and everything will be fine, however being in consultant care is the best place if there is any risk

BlindKitty · 22/10/2013 19:00

merk oh really? That does make me feel a bit better. Never really thought of my cervix being a problem before. Sad

boom the mw did do her visit to check our home was ok (do is like when cats protection check before giving you a kitten after all).
Cringed when my cat got fur all over the midwife when she brushed past her!

Tallyra · 22/10/2013 19:12

blind, was that a lletz? I had one last year and I haven't heard anything about extra risk! Shock

Foodylicious · 22/10/2013 20:07

I had a lletz two and a half yrs ago, I asked about this and was told one procedure did not increase your risks, but I intend to bring it up regularly just to make sure.
Also am meant to have yearly smears but they could not fit me in at the right time of the month before our holiday.
I should really have booked one for last month (was actually due in Oct)but they could not fit me strait after AF and did not want it later in the cycle so as not to interfere with ttc.
needless to say I wont be having one now!
Although they do still do them in the states during pg Hmm

Boomgoestheweasel · 22/10/2013 20:23

Well girls, pregnancy yoga is awesome! A little lentil-weavy, but I loved it. Some lovely expectant mums there too, although most 36wk +, but a new term starts in a couple of weeks (this was a taster session) so hopefully some other newbies will start then. kitty it's £7.50 here too but I think it's worth it as we won't be paying for antenatal classes and I need to meet some other bumps somewhere! And I bought some new bottoms at the supermarket on the way so didn't have to do it in my massive knickers Grin

Can't believe the midwife came round to check your house! What is she, a social worker/midwife? What do they do if you've not cleaned the oven recently, report you? Confused

angelina mine showed up at 7+3 I think, but I didn't have any scans earlier than that so don't know if they would have seen them.

Gentle reminder you shouldn't take up yoga (if you didn't do it pre pregnancy) before 14 weeks according to NHS

Boomgoestheweasel · 22/10/2013 21:19

Haha thanks Merk but am 14+2! Besides, the evidence base behind the NHS's stance on exercise is wobbly to say the least, have to say both exercise and nutritional guidance are frankly not up to scratch but don't tell anyone I said that

Kat I have had some interesting episodes of pregnancy rage ShockGrin

Last night for me was horrific... Felt really 'full' all evening and by the time I went to bed there wasn't a single comfortable position. I can no longer lie on my front, on my side felt like my bump was pulling down towards the bed and stretching the muscles on the side not on the bed, and on my back uncomfortably pulled both stomach muscles. Seems as though suddenly my bump, which i thought was hard before, has suddenly got much fuller and firmer, making it difficult to deal with. Am dreading tonight as I barely slept (only slept with bump propped on a pillow and woke up every time I moved/rolled etc) and need to be up super early
Hoping either this is temporary or I find a way to get comfy and continue to sleep! It's way too early to be so uncomfortable surely?
