Open to all elderberry grads and anyone who fits the berry criteria: over 30, first trimester(ish) with #1 after trying for a long time, and nervous as hell. Come on in for handholding and nub theory!

Then get it booked quick!

Brodicea · 23/10/2013 19:19

Sounds like a good lead angel. Am perusing the tea website too..

Glad to hear your results came in boom: mine arrived today 1:6372. Happy with that!

qazxc · 23/10/2013 20:25

Sorry to hear that angel, it is a bit shitty that you have to wait for three for them to seem to get their finger out. Get a private reassurance scan, being in limbo is terrible.

So far so good with me, no bleeding and my boobs are tender. Still running to toilet almost hourly to check though. Cannot wait for the scan date to arrive and hopefully all is well. At 7+1 can they see a heartbeat? Do i need to drink loads or is it an internal?

In other news, i have just been called in for a job interview tomorrow. Ordinarily i would have gone for the job as it's with a bigger company and has chances for promotion. Unfortunately it is shift work, which would mean early rise as soon as 5am and getting home as late as 12, and some split shifts and weekend work. There is also the added stress factor of a new and harder job, and the fact that it is less money than what i am on now. Is it bad form to go for an interview for a job you no longer want (if things go well pg wise)? should i just do the interview for exp and turn them down if they offer the job?

Tallyra · 23/10/2013 20:26

aww, great results girls. still waiting for mine. so they must be ok too.

CatsCantFlyFast · 23/10/2013 20:54

Qaz yes you should see a heartbeat at 7 weeks, I did, although the consultant did say sometimes they couldn't at that stage but all could end up being fine. Should expect it will be too early for a normal ultrasound so will be dildocam, in which case you need an empty bladder

Just in from a work day that started with first meeting at 8.30. Knackered doesn't come close. But to say they scanned me at 7 weeks with external and saw heartbeat. That was just a cheeky 'is there something in there scan' after meeting the endocrinologist.

BlindKitty · 23/10/2013 21:56

boom yep thank goodness our home is fit got a kitten, I mean baby! Great nuchal results!

merk several people on the brookers thread rave about those pregnancy pillows and say they can't sleep without them.

angelina I can't tell you how much my anxiety levels have dropped since having my 7 week scan. Yes, mine was courtesy of the nhs but I'd have definitely paid for it myself if I wasn't offered one

So out with my friend tonight (who doesn't know) and he went on about how pregnant woman take loads of liberties at work. Can't wait to tell him I'm diffed! Roll on 2 weeks!

BlindKitty · 23/10/2013 22:01

qaz my scan was 6+6 and there was a visible heart beat. I made dh video it on his phone so I can leep reminding myself every hour

tally I had my flu jab today too. The nurse was so incompetent. Tried to avoid giving it to me as she clearly didn't know that pregnant people are meant to have it!

CatsCantFlyFast · 23/10/2013 22:12

kat the nub is essentially what will become the penis/clitoris. It's positioned closer to the body than an actual penis. If it points up in relation to the spine (>30 degrees I think) they reckon boy. Boom will correct me if I'm wrong.... Thunder's 12 week scan is a good example of a visible nub
I had my flu jab today too! Boom think your nurse must have been crap as I didn't even feel mine

Thanks all, I think I will go ahead with the private scan (the earliest they do is 7 wks so should see something by then).

qaz I would go for the interview if I were you, like you say good experience if nothing else.

CatsCantFlyFast · 23/10/2013 22:38

It does a bit Kat, you also have to look quite hard!

Just to say mine is a good nub example to eagle eye merk.... Even when she drew a ring around it on my photo I still can't see it!

PuppyMummy · 24/10/2013 06:54

off on holiday next week, looking forward to some lovely relaxing!

Thundercatsarego · 24/10/2013 07:09

You tally?
Go girl!

Happy 8 weeks puppy! You have the same changeover day as me, I love waking up on Thursdays and being one week number higher.

BlindKitty · 24/10/2013 07:21

thunder so does merk think its a boy then?

Thundercatsarego · 24/10/2013 07:46

Yeah she knows it's a boy!

I was having a load of trouble putting photos up on mn- whenever I add one it turns the others into that one...confused.

Can you look on FB, kitty?

Thundercatsarego · 24/10/2013 07:47

D'oh. I'll read your message properly next time...

CatsCantFlyFast · 24/10/2013 07:58

Thunder I have that problem with photos too. There's a thread about it in site stuff if you want to report it as its been happening for ages and they don't seem to be doing much about it

Tallyra · 24/10/2013 08:36

no no no, I'm too scared to do it. plus not sure how on my phone as I never log my computer on.

Thundercatsarego · 24/10/2013 08:39

Come on tally you can do it! We'll help you. Achievement of the day?
