Open to all elderberry grads and anyone who fits the berry criteria: over 30, first trimester(ish) with #1 after trying for a long time, and nervous as hell. Come on in for handholding and nub theory!

Thunder it's at 10am tomorrow. Guess who's going to be awake from about 4 in the morning with nerves?!

How many weeks away is your wedding now? Oooh I love a good wedding!

poppy sorry you're still feeling rough. Toast in bed seems to be the obvious solution apart from the crumbs

Have just walked the dogs and purposely went past the shop to get more Laughing Cow and they'd run out Shock!! Not sure I can carry on...

I'm sorry I'm not really joining in with the conversations here, but I'd like to send hugs to poppy. I've been signed off for another 2 weeks but I can't imagine trying to work through this.

however, I had my weekly scan again today. ten weeks. it was amazing. there's fingers and toes and it's moving around and everything. dh even got a bit tearful as we've been expecting bad news every time we go. he took the photo and I'm not computer based though so I can't post it.
boom, don't worry, it's perfectly possible there's nothing wrong!

Boomgoestheweasel · 24/09/2013 12:24

Aw Tally that's such lovely news, you actually had me welling up damn you hormones hoping we have an equally happy scan tomorrow! Nice to hear from you, keep popping in when you can xx

Hooray tally! Another step forward. Got everything crossed that very soon your sickness will start to fade and you can feel yourself again.

boom good it's in the morning, will be great to get it out of the way quickly. How far are you now?

Brodicea · 24/09/2013 13:34

Wowzers tally that's great Grin

Boomgoestheweasel · 24/09/2013 15:33

I'll be 9+5 tomorrow Thunder. Time still seems to be passing so slowly!

Thundercatsarego · 24/09/2013 15:38

Yeah I know the pain boom, still you have this one, and then holiday and then your dating scan must be pretty soon after?

Boomgoestheweasel · 24/09/2013 15:46

Yep, think dating scan is 15 Oct, so only a week and a half to wait once we get back.. then I might actually start to believe it could happen!

Thundercatsarego · 24/09/2013 16:07

That's great, plenty to do and not much time between then and now! Did you say you're going to have harmony testing too?

Boomgoestheweasel · 24/09/2013 16:15

Nope, way out of our price range! Cheapest around this neck of the woods is £750, and bet they add on extra for twins. It'll be the nuchal scan without blood test and that's it for us.

Company, I BOUND to be awake lol! So excited for you!

tally fab news! Ooh fingers!!!! Grin

Brodicea · 24/09/2013 20:23

Gar, come on here for a rant: I am so fecking hungry. Got home at six, really tired and need a nap, so DH says he'll sort dinner. While I sleep he goes out for a run, he comes home and we have a small row about mumsnet, then his sister calls for half an hour, then he wants to discuss the small row (I confess I quickened the resolution in the interests of getting fed - at this time I have already eaten a bowl of cereal and a small packet of crackers), he cooks a dinner that takes 45 minutes - and it's a lentil curry which my stupid stomach doesn't want to eat much of (started boaking half way through - partly because on the table are some Pataks popadums which taste and smell like bile to me at the mo). He then says he'll pop some chicken nuggets in the oven, but he forgets to turn it on. Still waiting for a proper dinner :o(

Sorry - none of this is really his fault, but I am so beside myself!!!

Brodicea · 24/09/2013 20:24

that's meant to be Angry there not Grin

Brodicea · 24/09/2013 20:25

Also, yes chicken nuggets, but I am not Bianca Jackson, just a preggers lady in need of the bland

Bloody Nora, brod I'd've been sobbing and vomiting on the floor by then. Mine sensibly jumps most of the time when I mention hunger, although he has also forceably filled the house with food so I can just grab stuff. Stern talking needed methinks

Boomgoestheweasel · 24/09/2013 22:05

Aw Brod sounds like a pants evening! Have you been fed by now?!

Kat actually you can have harmony with twins apparently, although I have no idea how that works Hmm Still beyond the realms of affordability so I won't feel bad, it's just not an option!

Just having a quick smoothie before bed (I'm going to regret it in the middle of the night but soooo hungry) and then off to try and sleep through until tomorrow...argh. Dread setting in!

Boomgoestheweasel · 25/09/2013 06:23

Uff. Been awake since 5... Only three and a half hours to go!

OP posts:
Brodicea · 25/09/2013 07:09

I was fed eventually, although there were tears and lots of complaining on my part - and I did lay down the law about having to eat by at least seven. I think he was a bit scared of the banshee indeed!

I've got an epic journey to York today (from the South) so am going armed with a backpack full of food and have warned DH that I expect my dinner on the table when I get home Grin

Ooer boom not long now!! Will keep everything crossed for you x

CatsCantFlyFast · 25/09/2013 07:22

Thinking of you boom

Thundercatsarego · 25/09/2013 07:31

Good luck boom, we expect an immediate update Smile

BlindKitty · 25/09/2013 07:33

boom it's Wednesday!!!! Hope everything goes ok. Will try to check in in a bit x

Boomgoestheweasel · 25/09/2013 07:51

Oooh brod York! Wave at me as you go past then Grin

Have spent my morning cleaning dog poo out of the carpet courtesy of Boomdog II. At least it's a distraction I suppose, although I can think of better ones when I'm feeling early-morning-icky anyway...Hmm

Will keep you all posted. Mr Boom has been warned that his hand may be nonfunctional for the rest of the day if the hand-clutching that went on last time is anything to go by!
