Open to all elderberry grads and anyone who fits the berry criteria: over 30, first trimester(ish) with #1 after trying for a long time, and nervous as hell. Come on in for handholding and nub theory!

When are all the dating scans due? Think we have to pick one and all move together after that as if we wait for the last one then any new BFPs and we will never move!
My midwife would be if she knew what I am eating this week. Tonight I have had 3 packets of mini cheddars and a big bag of sour cherries. I am hoping my multivitamin is working hard

Well my dating scan is 15th Oct. But I'm feeling slightly brave at the moment while basking in the afterglow of yesterday's scan, so if you decide to go sooner I will clutch at your apron strings and follow you!

So far tonight I've eaten sticky toffee pudding and manchego cheese (not together). Roast pork and crackling in the oven!

Have ordered that book Thunder, it'll be good to read the 'real' research behind some of the frankly barmy recommendations and guidelines! Cav thanks for the links although there's no way I'm buying books about having an actual baby for at least another five months! Can't tempt fate!

So today we moved offices and I was asked like a million times to lift heavy items. My colleagues must think I'm being a right t#%* atm for refusing lol. Ended up confiding in one of the nurses (who also got pg by iui) so hopefully she won't give the game away. Then someone else found a 'congratulations on your baby' card and she was like 'ooh maybe we can give it to you one day', really hoping my nervous laughter didn't give the game away!!!

My dating scan is 21st October so aaaggges away yet.

kitty sure nobody even batted an eyelid, I can't believe how dim all my friends are not to have noticed that I'm suddenly fat, won't eat paté, haven't had a single confirmed alcoholic beverage for weeks, and have suddenly stopped talking altogether about ttc!

Mind you, I keep having to fend off friends who are asking me to go back to roller derby at the moment....not sure falling off my skates right now would be a good idea

Is dating scan the same as 12 wk scan?
If so, I'm on 9th Oct.

kitty puppy don't worry - I think it will be a while before all of us leave. I just popped over to look at the grads thread and was sufficiently freaked out to scurry straight back over here! (They're taking about prams, and clothes and scary stuff!)

Poppy don't panic, we are talking about stuff which is relevant to us at the stages we are at, we've also been where you guys are and know how scary terrifying it all seems in those early weeks.

There is no pressure to join us, but feel free to pop in and say hi as and when you want to, we are a friendly bunch and welcome new faces.

Also if anything seems odd or scary we may be able to offer help/advice/reassurance from a different perspective. Me Alex and Quod are all still preggo where as the other ladies are mums now, they have been a huge huge help to us in helping prepare and support us. I think we just all hope to be able to do the same for you guys.

Hope you're all doing well. If it's any help the first 12 weeks or so were by far the most terrifying part of my pregnancy so once you've done that bit it really does get better...

morning all. Was only 4 weeks yesterday Ill be staying put here for now.

As im still poas (this morning, nice fat line) I dont want to look too far forward just yet.

All still very scary although my pee stick has made me feel good this morning. And I might even ring the doctors on Mon and break the news!!

So I made it to 6.00 this morning woop woop! Even then it was only because the cat sat on my bladder!

I have a suggestion- you could decide on a group milestone. For example you stay here until 12 weeks and then move over? Or after 20 week scan?
But the main thing is to do what you are comfortable with. No pressure, we just feel lonely sometimes
Who is next on dating scan? I'm guessing boom?

I think it's poppy first actually lol! I've worked out why I'm so scared of the big girls' thread - it's because I always wake up really early (Mr Boom up for work at 5) so I have a pootle on your thread. And of course that's when all the mums have been up all night chatting about 4am feeds and nappies which is more than enough to send me scuttling back for cover in the helicopter! I do realise there is still pg chat in there sometimes, I promise we'll make it over...soon

Kitty I ignored your cheese suggestion. Edam is acceptable, but you will never know true pleasure until you have had a Pink Lady apple with Manchego cheese. Gaaaaaah

When I say ignored, I meant 'failed to comment on' not 'thought was a silly comment and paid no attention to it'.....I'm not horrible. Really!
