Bella23 · 23/03/2006 12:03

Hey DQ - how is it all going?
Are you keeping sane?

dramaqueen72 · 23/03/2006 12:04

yeah, i'm loving it actually. its very very nice.

MeAndMyBoy · 23/03/2006 12:06

oh hugs DQ that's not nice. Do we need to send the beanie ladies in?

Rom hope you're doing ok, Cadmum too. Munz where are you - hope things have settled down a bit for you all now with IL's gone.

Been to the docs this morning to get myself in the system. was a laugh - appointmet too 2 mins literal.

Morning I'm 8 weeks pg. Fine make an appointment on a monday in 2/3 weeks time to see midwife. Bye.

That was it!!! some of the ladies on the AN thread have had half a dozen doc's visits to get booked in and pg tests done and all sorts - feel a bit short changed really lol. Typical of our PCT though so shouldn't be suprised.

Take care and talk later

h x

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 23/03/2006 12:09

Munz came on for a quick hello on MSN this morning, she seems fine. Joey seems to be settling down a little.

Will direct her this way next time i see her x

Bella23 · 23/03/2006 12:09

DQ, arh glad to hear it.

M&MB - every visit I have had so far (apart from scan) has been a bit like that!
Its funny how much you are left on your own, as a first timer I was a bit suprised.
I am guessing that things only speed up towards the end.

dramaqueen72 · 23/03/2006 12:11

oh dear. never mind, they will spend more time with you later promise!!lol. congrats all over again, its just lovely to see the beanie thread keeping on. willing it -the beanie good luck- all over to wendy now.
the 'run in'? just a stupid comment about my weight. i knew i shouldnt of got involved but!! lol
hows that bump bella????

Bella23 · 23/03/2006 12:20

DQ - oh dear, just ignore them, silly muppets!!

So does this mean that you and Cadmum are officially grown-ups now that you have a family with 4 kids?Smile

I can only imagine a day when I might actually feel like a grown-up!!Grin

Yes will be so nice when this thread can come full circle and be complete by Wendy having the good news she deserves.

Bump coming along nicely - although still convinced at this stage that its mostly chocolate and cakeGrin

romilly · 23/03/2006 15:10

Frizbe · 23/03/2006 16:22

Hi all

DQ don't let em get to you, shall we go and sort em, as per M&MB!

Rom, I vote for Romy or Daisy!! will check your birth thread later, have a feeling my two are waking up, drat!! can;t complain tho, as have had about 2hrs of peace from them, ironing done n all sorts!!

HandbagAddiction · 23/03/2006 16:32

Ooh - so I know I haven't been around for ages - haard of having far too much work to do and being really poorly, bed-ridden, etc. etc. but look what I've missed......Romilly has had her little girl and is Meandmyboy pregnant???!!!

Romilly - big congratulations to you Grin. Fantastic news. Hope all is well.

MAMB - so have I missed an announcement? Are you 8 weeks pregnant?? If so, then that's fab news indeed!!! Really pleased for you.

As for all the rest of you Mums with your new babes - hope you're all OK and taking good care of yourselves.

I'm now at 31 weeks and well and truly in countdown mode. And better still - only 5 more weeks at work!! Yipee!!! Coping OK though although feeling generally more uncomfortable and bigger than last time OK. Midwife keeps telling me to stop being so silly!! I have another scan in a week or so time to see whether my placenta has moved. Hopefully it will have done as I really don't want to have a section with dd around at home.....

Will promise to try and get back at more regular intervals, but it is great to catch up on everyone's news....

wendy11 · 23/03/2006 18:17

Hello Ladies

Rom - A really big congratulations on the birth of your long awaited daughter. I am quite sure that neither you or DH can let her out of your sight although I suspect that the middle of the night is not the ideal time for admiring her!! Take Care

M&MB - I am really glad that all is going well for you. Only another 4 weeks until the 12 week milestone

Bella - I am glad bump is doing well and thank you for continuing to think of me. It would be lovely if I could compelte the circle for the beanies. Maybe some day

DQ - good to hear from you and again that you for thinking about me. Hopefully all the good fortune and baby vibes around this thread at the moment will maybe come my way

We still haven't reached a decision about what we are going to do - still waiting for the test results to come back which will probably be another week or so. Also we have been invited to a family wedding out of the country in July - DH has been asked to do best man and just know that with our luck the date will coincide with treatment. Friends know that we are having IVF and have been brillant throughout all the ups and downs and know that DH can't give them a definite answer just yet. I have been trying to find out when treatment might be offered but so far the clinic will not know until the end of April - so more waiting!! Finding it really difficult as we feel we can't book flights, hotels etc until we see if we are going to go for another cycle, will both of us be able to go or only DH and I don't think he will accept the best mans role unless I go as well. HELP!!! Life is once again on hold.

Don't worry I am not as down as what this post might seem - actually I am feeling reasonably good at the moment - just finding the decision making process hard. I am going mountain climbing next week for three days with work so that should blow a few of the cobwebs away. By the way I am not into mountain climbing but have to do this training session in order to allow me to take students on some of the more adventorous field trips. I know I am going to ache like mad after some unacustomed excercise - why didn't I keep up with my healthy walking regime???

Take Care everyone and I will be in touch soon.

romilly · 23/03/2006 18:46

thanks for all your lovely congratulations. as DQ said, this beanie thread is very special - and the only reason i come on MN these days.

and wendy - i sincerely hope that some of the beanie babydust comes your way - and i really hope that you do decide to try again, after reading your last posts it sounds like your d/h wants to and i know the fear of it not working out again must be beyond contemplation - but where theres a chance surely that risk of more heartbreak is outweighed by what could be.

yellowbear · 23/03/2006 21:21

Daisy was on my short list Rom for a girl but I love Romy too, it is unusual.

Can't help with the feeding issue, I couldn't manage bf Sad but i suppose its still only early days and she wont want to feed like this for long.

I can't believe Charlie is 13 weeks old tomorrow. he has been really ill with this sickness bug (just as he was going quite a few hours during the night) and is now back on 3 hourly feeds Shock. He is getting back to his happy chatty self though and despite feeling and looking like a zombie I love him to bits!

Just to let you know I'm thinking of you Wendy and will be keeping up to date with your posts.

Hi to everyone else

Nemo1977 · 23/03/2006 21:27

MeAndMyBoy · 23/03/2006 21:42

Oops meant to say before thanks for the new thread Nemo - sorry I haven't been in touch for a while, hope you're ok and I'll mail you this weekend.

Wendy it must be so hard having everything on hold. It would be typical timing for your treatment to end up being the time of the wedding, it's always how it seems to work for some reason. Sounds like the clinic are being thorough for you though. You really are an amazing lady :), yes 4 weeks til the 12 week milestone. Feels like ages away but I'm sure will fly in reality. Mountain climbing!!!! I used to climb but haven't for years and just the thought these days makes my arms ache lol. Hope you have fun though.

DQ completely agree with sending Wendy all the beanie luck to you.

Tabs great to see you post on the other thread, so glad that the osteopath has helped Pippa. I took Ds when he was about 6 weeks old, upset the osteopath though - she's been treating me since I was 11.

Hi Handbag great to hear from you too - 31 weeks where on earth has that gone to - it only feels like 5 mins that you got your BFP. Sorry to hear that you've been poorly though - Bed ridden? sounds nasty. How's DD? what's her reaction to your beanie?

Yep 9 weeks tomorrow Grin DS shocked us both a bit by announcing a week before my BFP that I had a baby in my tummy.

Bella glad to hear that bump of yours is coming along - won't be long before it's obvious it isn't all cakes honest :). Yes I was suprised the first time round at how laid back all the professionals are about it.

Hello to everyone - sorry for the epic Blush

H x

MeAndMyBoy · 23/03/2006 21:44

Drat meant to say Rom - love all the names but think my preference would be either Romy or Lucie.

dramaqueen72 · 24/03/2006 00:51

well i'm kinda partial to Daisy rom!!lol
but think rom might be soooooooooo appropriate? they are all lovely, just give the poor girl a name.....Wink
try not to panic over massive feeding sessions, her day and night will sort themselves out, promise. (not promising when tho...Grin) swaddle her tight and STARE hard at her, because they grow when you blink i swear.....
hm, bella i've never felt grown up enough in my life! but have got to say finally feel confident about my style of parenting, and how my children have turned out. its nice. and i love love my days with my two little girlies at home.
nemo, nice to see you.:) broody eh? yeah, i have moments of that. just moments tho!
wendy nice to see you too. of course we think of you, youre one of the beanie ladies!
cadmum- hows it going......
hope everyone well, and any beanies are sleeping for you all.
