Rom you can pop them on their front when you feel ready really, 3-4 weeks is fine in my book for a few minutes a day, especially if you have an eager baby who is liking to try and lift up when on your shoulder! its funny really dd1 hated being on her front and crawling, she won't even look at a photo or video of her attempting to crawl now! where as dd2 is eager to get on the mat on her front Smile
I'm trying to post on all threads still, when I get chance!! lol.....
Hoping I may get more sleep tonight, dd has spent lots of day asleep and is asleep again now, after hardly sleeping at all last night, she had a mad feed frenzy, so I only got 4hrs sleep, woke up to dd1 saying to ss, Mummys eyes are closed, as they both hoovered over me at 6.30am... Grin my next sentance after asking the time, was to advise them daddy was still downstairs, never seen two kids move so fast!
Hope all are ok, have skimmed thread, so sorry if no more personalised answers, think I need to go and sleep!
Oh and boiler is fixed thanks!

Bella23 · 11/04/2006 09:51

Hello ladies

Lovely to hear about how you are all doing, even if for most of you it involves sleep deprevation!Grin

Nemo - hope Hannah is doing better.

Well new panic from me is that I am not sure that I am feeling any movement feelings. I am 18 weeks on Friday and on the Sept thread people are feeling all sorts. I am getting bigger by the day so taking that as a good sign but can't wait to feel some reassuing kicks etc

Well lots of love to all you lovely ladies. Off to search the internet about foetal movements to try and freak myself out and add to my worry!! Grin

Munz · 11/04/2006 10:51

hiya guys,

sorry i've not been about much, we've had loads of visitors, and joey's not been the best. still was just stopping in to say all's well he's 7 weeks on thursday - where has the time gone, we're enjoying him loads. feeding's still going well now the infections gone, got an electric pump and can get 2 oz from each side first thing. He's def got the colic, I forgot to take his drops out on the w/e and had a nightmare night v unsetttled so I guess I know i'm not paranoid after all! lol.

rom - i'm chatting away to Joey all the time, esp sining along with MTV he seems to like, and he's just started getting intrested in dancing with me (well me dancing him having his arms played with! lol.) he's starting to chat back to me as well which is nice.

Nemo - hope DD's feeling better soon.

cadmum - I will email u hon I promise - i'm yet to email a mate from feb so bare with me, there's just not enough hours in the day! all's I want to do is play with my little guy after the house work is done which is about all I have time for - if i'm luckyt a spot of lunch as well! lol.

baby massage again this week. (we left it for a few weeks as his 5 week growth spurt was a nightmare, he was sooo ratty for about 4 days so coupled with mastits and no sleep I wasn't v sociable! lol.

Munz · 11/04/2006 10:52

ooh bella - don't worry hon, I had a few flutters around 16 weeks then nothing at all till around 20 weeks no full kicks till then anyways, there's still a lot of room for the bean to move so try not to worry too much.

Nemo1977 · 11/04/2006 10:57

bella hun dont fret on movements with Adam I was about 22wks when I felt him and around 18wks with hannah. even then they were not the huge kicks but the bubbly feeling that sometimes think is wind..lol Cant believe you are 18wks already..how lovely.

thanks for asking all..hannah is ok just not sleeping too well etc as she coughs most of the night. So feeling it in the lack of sleep department but nevermind. She has appointment next tues at reflux clinic and to look at her breathing which is a bonus.

Sorry I dont manage to keep up but I do read.

Cadmum · 11/04/2006 13:07

Bella: Please don't worry about not feeling movement. I was 20 weeks with DS1 and never felt anything before 18 even with my fourth. (I know that telling you not to worry is not going to help but I hope that it makes you feel slightly better.) I have sent off your wee package so I hope it makes it to you before you are no longer in maternity clothes. Sorry it has taken me so long... Blush I have had a similar week to Friz, Munz and Rom: No sleep; mastitis and a fussy baby; no time and wishing that I only had one!

Munz: Good news about the electric pump; BAD news about the mastitis. Be sure to stay on top of that--you don't want to make that a habit (I should know!). Your Oreos and Beef Jerky are in the post so look forward to seeing a package in the next couple of weeks.

It is official: DH has landed a permanent position. We are off to Vienna. He starts on June 1. How am I ever going to manage a move with four little people under my feet all day every day?!?! The reality is scaring me to death. I am so glad that you are all going to still be here to chat with while I try to adjust to the language barrier. I am only on lesson 5 of the Rosetta Stone so I know how to say handy things like girl, baby and elephant! I am scared, VERY, VERY SCARED! I will likely start a thread asking for advice rather than fret on my own.

Cadmum · 11/04/2006 13:48

George and Rom: thanks for the 'respect' for our four. If it helps, I also felt snowed under with one! Now I have 'baby snugglers' so that at least I can get a shower every day.

I would agree with Friz that Romi can be on her tummy anytime she seems ready. DS1 HATED it with a passion (and NEVER learned to roll over) where my other 3 seemed to enjoy it now and then.

Bella23 · 12/04/2006 09:44

Cad – thanks for sending off my parcel, fab a bit of excitement coming through the post.
Remember to e-mail me your address so that I can send you the muslin squares you want.
Poor you, am not surprised you are nervous about moving to a country where you don’t speak the lingo – very stressful! Well we’ll definitely be here for you whilst you stumble through.

Nemo – glad to hear the little one is doing better. My friend’s baby had reflux and it was terrible but once she was on the right medication she soon settled down.

Well thanks for all the reassurance re movements. I think its just because everyone keeps asking me if I’ve felt anything yet and it was making me feel a bit panicked that I hadn’t. I reckon I have a thick layer of tummy fat (created by eating far to much chocolate and cake over the last few months) which is keeping the sensation under wraps!!Grin

Cadmum · 12/04/2006 14:28

Bella, I think that I did send you an email with my address... Perhaps sleep deprivation is really getting to me. I will send it this afternoon.

Charlie was a sleep-angel last night and I didn't take advantage. She slept from 8 until midnight whilst I was in the laundry room and then again from 12:30 until 5am but I was awake several times expecting to have to feed her. She went back to sleep after the 5am feeding and slept until 9am! I then fed her and she is back in bed! If only I had gone to bed at 8.

My brother, his wife and son are arriving for a week long visit this evening. I am really glad since we will only be here for another 6 weeks. Should be fun; they have never stayed with us before and my children are SO excited.

I must run and make a cuppa so that I can think straight. Take care. Hope you are all well.

Frizbe · 13/04/2006 17:04

Hi guys, is it me or does the guy on doodle do really seem to be taking the micky?

Hi Munz, glad things are going ok for you Grin and you've worked thru the worst of it all, well done Smile

Nemo, hope Hannah is still ok

Bella, I agree don't worry you'll be feeling the little bump soon enough!

Caddy, good luck with your move! seem to remember hausfrau moved to Germany not too long ago, so she'll sympathise with you.

Rom, Handbag, DQ anyone else I've missed, how's things?

All ok here, looking forward to an Easter Chocolate Feast! (I know that's not what its all about! before anyone kicks off!) but after dh deciding to comment I should lay off the mini eggs last night, I'm gona make a hog of myself just to spite him Grin then I shall worry about dieting later!

Debbsy · 13/04/2006 17:41

Nemo1977 · 15/04/2006 21:41

hello all and happy easter

have had a nightmare time here as adam has an ear infection so took him to walk in centre yesterday as his temp was over 40 and not coming down. Then hannah got sunburnt when dh was looking after her in the garden. She came up in blisters on her face so cue a trip to a+e at 3am this morning. She has been given cream and refered to burns clinic on tuesday. Am already at the hospital with ehr on tues re her breathing and reflux so this just adds to the fun. They must think I am an horrendous mother.

Hope everyone is ok.

OP posts:
Debbsy · 17/04/2006 21:33

oh nemo sorry not MORE bad luck i really hope it ends now ((((hugs))))

Cadmum · 18/04/2006 15:20

Friz: Sorry to hear that you are feeling poorly. Hope you are back to 100% quickly.

Nemo: It hardly seems reasonable with all of your other worries. I'm sorry that you are having such a rotten time. Thinking of you. How are Hannah's burns?

Munzie: Thanks so much for the photos! He is SO cute. Love the big blue eyes and blonde blonde hair.

Does anyone know/remember when you can tell what colour baby's eyes will be for sure? I need to fill in Charlie's passport application and I think that they might be blue because they don't seem as dark as the older three's were but I am really uncertain.

Cadmum · 18/04/2006 15:21

Rom: Where are you?

Bella: How's that bump?

Cheers to everyone else. I hope you all had a Happy Easter,

Frizbe · 18/04/2006 16:13

Caddy can't remember exactly when they change is it 6mths??

Nemo, {{{Hugs}}} hon your having rotten luck of late, surely this is the last of it....hope hannah is feeling ok now?

Hi Debsey!

Rom where are you?

Munz, DQ, Tabs, Handbag etc how you all doing today?

I'm still feeling rotten....dd2 has developed a rash on her head, but no cough, so I'm assuming its a reaction rash, that's fighting off the bug I have.....dd1 was developing a cough this am as well, so hoping she doesn't get it too bad, or it'll be a disturbed few nights with her....oh fun!
