MrsMigginslovespies · 10/05/2012 15:27

Excellent choice of mobile Alison as that's the one we bought too (also on sale!) Smile. Also nice and not too distracting as you say, but v cute and nice in whatever nursery. Can't believe it was £30 to start with though!

Ham, I had a VERY vivid dream about giving birth to a boy a week before my scan which turned out to be true. Just sayin'...! Mother's instinct and all that, bearing in mind DH was so sure we were having a girl....

Raining raining all day here and 7 degrees. Tis a joy. And MIL and GMIL coming tomorrow too, so really hope weather picks up so I'm not inside with them all day, as had hoped to take them on nice long walk to show off countryside and river. Almost all ready now, just need to make soup later and do bathroom again tomorrow. Groan.

Must take a bump photo.

Lovemarmite · 10/05/2012 15:29

Great mobile alison and poo-ey about the medicine!

I ordered the cot bed on Tuesday and it's coming next week - okay, this feels way way too soon but the place I bought it from had a 10% discount running and the manufacturer has just called and asked if we can take delivery next week... hmm do you think I should try and put it off for a month at least?

Cricky we spoke about not getting anything big until July and so mid-May seems like I am jumping the gun and although LO seems healthy now, oooo dear I'm a worrier Confused Help - what would you do?
Am I being silly? Blush

ishopthereforeiam · 10/05/2012 15:35

Awesome photos of bump ham and 3bears those 3d ones are so clear - amazing!

We have a 4d scan on 19th may so looking forward to seeing the little one. We did it with dd and loved the pics (although some were a bit scary!).

OP posts:
susiegrapevine · 10/05/2012 15:56

marmite I think its ok to have it delivered. Am assuming its flat pack so I reckon you are ok as long as you leave it in the box. That way its just a pile of wood until you put it up. Hope that helps.

The3Bears · 10/05/2012 16:17

Love the mobile alison so cute, we have the once upon a time one I just cant resist bears and bunnys Blush I am looking for some sort of projection lightshow for the ceilling ds had a fisher price one and he loved it was great for when he disturbed a little.

marmite dont worry about it, we have ours up now simply because ive put all baby bits inside it atm so everythings together we just didnt have the space for boxes everywhere so made sense to do that. Just do whatever you feel comfortable with :)

hamncheese the 4d scans are amazing Grin when are you thinking of having yours? I had to have a walk around outside though and jump around I looked like a loon, because baby had hands over his face, then the cord was all near his face and then he was snuggled in my placenta Grin we couldnt win so on alot of photos he's squashed up to the placenta but they like that as they can hear your heartbeat :)

The3Bears · 10/05/2012 16:21

love the bump aswell hamncheese will add one after, I havent done one yet

ishop we had one for ds1 in Oct 2006 at the same dates and I keep looking at them both now comparing them, they look exactly the same Grin you will have to add some photos when you have it done :)

Lovemarmite · 10/05/2012 16:55

Awesome pictures ishop
They're so clear. We've had our 4D scan done by the NHS and they're trying to look at it from a medical point of view and so our pictures are not nearly as good. Did you go private? our first ever scan was at Baby bond and the pictures were brilliant.

I had a spot of the ninnies and re-arranged the cot bed to come mid-July. Tbh I'm kind of not yet prepared for August, everything feels surreal still on most days. We're moving everything out the soon-to-be nursery and then painting it next week... I hope that when the curtains are ordered, room furniture worked out, it will all come together in my head too! :) then the cot bed will slot in... I guess LO won't be using it for a few more months after that too.

lexielexielexie · 10/05/2012 16:59

Hi Ladies,

my name's lexie and I'm due on the 18th of August with a little boy.... I already have a beautiful daughter who is 5 and has severe special needs. Maddy was born premature at 23 weeks and 5 days, so this is all new territory being almost 26 weeks pregnant!!! It's a crazy feeling having already given birth but yet not knowing what to expect in these next few months... That's where i'm hoping you ladies can help me out along the way!

I look forward to getting to know you and joining you on the journey ( that's if you'll have me :o )

Lexie x

PoppyS34wantssleep · 10/05/2012 18:14

ishop also very Envy of your hols, hope you had a great time! Yes, getting lots of rest :) Welcome to everyone new who I've missed (sorry!)
rumours hope you're feeling a bit better now and your BP is under control?

No rib pain here, but think my other troubles are more than making up for it :o
ham I am in the 'barely drag myself out of bed' category, can't remember the last time I had any energy. Poo!

Good question re baby bedding glitter my sister is sorting that out for me as I just can't think anything baby atm

3bears the pics are fab, how exciting :) ham love the bump pic, mine seems small, but the consultant measure it today and said it's fine.

Update from me: still on rest, been back to hosp for check up and the aim is to get me/baby to 36wks without bleeding/rupturing membranes.
If it happens again then I'll be admitted and they won't let me back out until then. I'm being really well looked after but I can't help feeling a bit crap about it all. Trying not to be down as I'm sure there are people in far worse situations than me, but I'm so fed up of the constant worry. :(

Anyway, am loving reading about everyone else's plans. Alison love the mobile choice.

I do not want to jinx myself, so I'm not doing anything baby-related until the very last minute (although I might research the nearest 24hr supermarket with a baby dept!) :o
(eek, sorry for overly long post.. Blush)

Lovemarmite · 10/05/2012 20:11

Welcome, hello and congratulations lexie!

Really hoping you're doing well poppy and that the 36 week mark flies quickly!

Hmm on that note, apparently I've reached the third trimester and coorrr blimey I'm huge and all I want to do is moan about the aches, the cramp etc - I think a few yoga sessions might need to get done soon! Omm.

Now off from work until 21st May, off to Grand Designs show tomorrow for a look at garden offices so that DH might get a man cave as our house is too small, beats moving if we can afford it. Plus lots of decorating to come over the week. Wow, feeling organised but not sure my body is up to it, wow, see more moaning!!!

Hope everyone is doing well and yeah to Friday tomorrow!

GwenGotLost · 10/05/2012 20:22

Hello :)

I'm officially due in July (31st!) but am currently measuring small so it's entirely possible Baby will land in August Confused

Hoping My current experiences will match up with more of yours; the ladies in the July thread are practically crowning :o

It's been a busy afternoon on here! Have a few posts to catch up on but just wanted to leave a quick message for now to 3bears my friend swears by the Tomy winnie the pooh lightshow which is a projector, not sure if there are different models but then one she uses is yellow and you can get them on amazon for about £15.

MrsMigginslovespies · 11/05/2012 07:49

Thought I'd pop on to say TGIF and the MIL and GMIL visit is TODAY! Have already been up an hour as couldn't sleep thinking about stuff I want to do in advance of their arrival (unclear when, as they've not let me know...). Have laid table, faffed in kitchen, hoovered (again) and about to swish bathroom again. Couldn't believe I'm this wound up about it all!

Hope everyone is ok today and hello Lexie, welcome to our lovely thread. x

hamncheese · 11/05/2012 08:27

I wonder if that will be the same for me about the dream Miggins... mind you I did have a dream of a boy VERY early in the pregnancy too so who knows! My instinct is all clouded by the array of boys my SIL has and the whole "our family only makes boys" type stuff. Plus everyone on that side is saying boy so not to be wishing a girl on me when my SIL couldn't get one etc! Good luck with the in-laws today, do they live far away? I'm lucky mine don't as then would have to do the long visit thing like you :( Hopefully it will fly by though!

Our 4d scan is booked for 9th June 3bears... decided to make it very far away from the 20 week scan to see a big difference! Taking parents and in-laws along should be great Grin Also I wish I could have my cot up like you. Feeling really Envy of all those getting their nurseries ready. I know baby will be in our room for a while first but the whole not being able to make a nursery is driving me mad, I'm so nesty. I just want our flat to sell!!!!

Welsome Lexie and Gwen!

That sounds really frustrating poppy but you are doing such a good job for baby resting up so much!

3rd trimester marmite?? that must mean I am too then as we have same due date! I thought it wasn't til the end of the 27th week though Confused? Would make sense if it was though as I'm totally with you on all the aches bah!

On the plus side had a good sleep last night... hoping the insomnia isn't going to be a regular feature. Oh well off to clean for a viewing today.

Molly wishes a good day to all Grin

woopsidaisy · 11/05/2012 08:44

Ohhhhh, Molly is gorgeous!

hamncheese · 11/05/2012 08:50

Grin so is Maisie

susiegrapevine · 11/05/2012 09:49

Hey ladies lovely cats ham will have to put a pic on of my cat at some point (will probably forget!).

Was tossing and turning last night jusy could not get comfy I think I need a king size bed as dh seems to take up too much space lol. Dh is not well at the mo and kept me up wed night shivering next to me with a temp. God I hope I don't get it!

Have a sore back as well!

Cried over stupid thing yesterday! Finally dh got new permit for the car on tues so phew for that! Then he did not go to work yesterday as was ill. I was looking out the window and saw the car and could see the permit wasn't in the window! So was like to dh have you put the permit in the car and he was like shit no! So ran out and put it in only to discover a parking ticket! I was cross at first and was like how much is it! Only 25 quid if you pay straight away so not too bad but then I just started crying over it! Felt really stupid and made dh feel really guilty! Normally it would not matter if the permit was not in the car till sat as would be at work for the permit times! Anyway not really that bothered about the ticket at all! Silly hormones!!

PoppyS34wantssleep · 11/05/2012 09:50

Ooooh ham, Molly and Maisie are beautiful cats. :) More cat pictures always welcome :o who was going to put their cat in a sling to try it out? hehehe

Marmite - how's your little puss doing :(..?

Good luck with visitors today MrsM

Hi Lexie & Gwen congrats and welcome.

28weeks tomorrow, 3rd trimester officially. Apparently the 2nd tri was meant to be the best., hmm that doesn't bode well for me Hmm

Alison love that WtP light thingy, have put that on my Amazon wish list now.

Going to try and be a bit more mobile today, whenever I rest up so much Bump starts feeling really uncomfortable and heavy when I start being more vertical, so going to introduce it slowly this time in prep for going back to work on Mon.

Was awake at 2am this morning while Bump had a fidget about - it was too cute, he's currently head down, so I had little hard bits (which I think are feet, going by the last scan) poking out either side of my belly button. It was like when your cat wants loves and pads you with their paws - but from the inside :o

ishopthereforeiam · 11/05/2012 09:50

Welcome gwen and lexie and anyone I've missed Grin

Love - I haven't had my 4d ones yet, got them next week with a London clinic (private) - last time I got some done (private) with baby premier they had some deal on so it was about £100 and we got 40+ photos, a dvd of dd moving around plus the stats. This time I booked one with Groupon also about £100 but only 8-10 photos and a dvd I think? They have quite a lot of deals on groupon and living social so worth a look if you fancy it? The ones of dd were pretty accurate and a couple looked very much like her when she finally made her debut!

mrsm bon chance with the MIL and GMIL today!

We've had a nice break from family visits having been away but about to go into overload now I think as the GPs have all missed dd (not me or dh lol)!

OP posts:
MrsMigginslovespies · 11/05/2012 10:33

Oooh, love the cat photos. MUST get some up of my puppy too. Love animals. If I only manage one baby, am going to be crazy animal lady with a menagerie. DH doesn't know this yet...Grin

Take care of yourself Poppy. Do you have any good boxsets to take your mind off things a bit? Not the same as cracking on, but at least something nice to do for a while! Personally, I can't beat Grey's Anatomy or West Wing.

ETA for MIL etc = t-1 hour. About to brush dog so she looks presentable and not mud covered as she is at the mo! x

PoppyS34wantssleep · 11/05/2012 13:54

We don't have a DVD player MrsM (or any DVDs for that matter!) but I have been catching up on the apprentice and have been doing a bit of work from my laptop in bed.

And.... ta-da-daaaaah! my biggest achievement of the week (apart from making some soup yesterday), is cutting my toe nails and removing the months weeks old nail polish.. took me ages, and various weird poses sitting on the bed (and a few pokes from the inside to stop squishing Bump), but they're done.

Shame my shiny new toes are covered up in hideous anti-dvt stockings now [umm] but hey-ho :o

hamncheese · 11/05/2012 14:09

Thanks for the cat compliments. Just had the viewing from hell where two reprobates somehow managed to get into our secure entry stairwell WHILE the viewing was ongoing. You just can't make this crap up. So I had to confront them and get them out and then continue the viewing like the guy wasn't basically looking to buy a homeless shelter where tennents special is given out free. So so bad.

To make it better... my other two cats for your (my) enjoyment: claude and jules

PoppyS34wantssleep · 11/05/2012 17:09

Oh ham that is rubbish :( fingers crossed for better viewings from now on. On the plus side, your cats are so so so so so lovely. :)

WelshLadyCDF · 11/05/2012 17:09

old from sunny mallorca, having a fantastic baby moon, bump keeps going v lopsided i think she is poking her little booty out!! I have been swimming a lot which is good but the pool is so cold.

poppy my brother was one of the artists on the apprentice the other night - Pure Evil!
