So far I have tried:

Raspberry Tea
Warm Baths
The birthing ball

Baby has been 2/5 engaged for ever 8 weeks so far, what is he doing and how is he hanging in there.

Although I do believe that this little one has spoken to his solicitor and has been advised that he is entitiled to stay put until his due date.

So come on ladies lets write a MN eviction plan. xx

I thought Harry was well & truly on the way. Id also like help with an eviction order am now 37+4 although iv decided I'm having mine on Sunday 38+1 as my DP will be home from Sandhurst (Army) for 3 weeks, so the earlier he comes the more time he'l get with daddy. I'm doing some prep - ate a lot of pineapple today, having acupuncture Saturday morning & going to my indian friends house Saturday evening to get a proper homemade curry then when DP gets home I plan to force seduce him into as much sex as possible until I go into labour.

Yummymummyyobe1 · 11/04/2012 13:50

justhayley we thought Harry was well on the way as were the MW's although they keep telling me it will be soon. Well not soon enough.

Might try some acupuncture myself and a good curry. Have tried the sex approach and force seduce our DP's. The final option is Castor Oil and I draw the line at pineapple it is horrible. xx

That's annoying - bet you got all excited. Iv got an appointment with the MW tomorrow hoping I'm told he's fully engaged now - was only 3-4/5ths 2 weeks ago.

I was going to go down the oil root but just seen a thread on here that has put me off a bit it sounds like it has horrendous side effects - although does seem to bring on labour!

I havnt had a single twinge or sign something could be happening anytime soon Sad really hoping I'm not going all the way to 40+12, if he takes after daddy there's no way he'l be early or even on time!

justhayley · 11/04/2012 14:04

Oh and def try acupuncture. Iv had a few sessions during pregnancy & it has been fantastic. My midwife said get 3 appointments close together from 38 weeks & ask them to induce labour she also said tell them I am 40 weeks she is really into alternative therapies & said she has no doubt it will do the job Grin I get mine at a herbal inn, they seem to have a few so probably have a branch close to where ever you live Grin

Yummymummyyobe1 · 11/04/2012 14:07

Things will happen soon. Hopefully baby will suprise you and just appear when they are done baking.

I will go an read the Oil thread.

I am getting to my last straws..I'm 38 weeks so I know not 40 weeks yet but I am SO close to taking castor oil. DS1 being exceptionally hard work today. I've not been able to eat for 3 days or sleep. I feel like crawling underneath a bridge and crying :( I have been trying evening primrose oil on cervix, sex, and walking. But nothings getting regular, I know cervix is ready so pretty certain if I took some oil or laxative or something like that it could be the extra push my body needs. Contractions come and go just wish they'd stay! God I'm in such a foul/emotional mood!

Yummymummyyobe1 · 11/04/2012 14:45

Hi Confused. Sorry you are having such a hard day. MW this end is wondering how baby Harry is no here yet.

Keep up with the sex Wink at least it is fun. Don't cry hugs. I am having minor contractions I think today all in my pelvis and boy I need no help with the bathroom twice is a couple of hours.

Go an eat chocolate and watch Jermey Kyle always a good plan. xx

confuzed - a lot of people say they were in horrendous moods the day before they went into labour!

confuzed90 · 11/04/2012 18:27

So maybe some good can come out of this awful mood! Hope so anyway...

Yummymummyyobe1 · 12/04/2012 11:49

OMG setfiretotherain it's my DS birthday soon too (30th) this baby is due 17th and I can easily see them sharing the day :(

I have tried RLT, ball, sex have had horrendous braxtons for weeks and been partially (but sure I'm nearer fully now as bump has dropped dramatically) engaged for weeks. Have lost some of my plug have lower backache, turned into a moody bitch yet still no baby.

Gonna get radox clary sage bubble bath tonight to give that a whirl. Fed up of the braxtons - they can either fuck the fuck off or turn into proper contractions.

Flisspaps · 13/04/2012 17:00

NONE OF IT WORKS!

If you want to do these things, fine - but if you're doing it for the sake of getting these babies out, don't!

These things don't work, I've said this time and time again - if they worked I wouldn't be here at 40+9 and no-one would have frankly horrendous medical inductions. Babies come when they're ready, not when you've eaten your own weight in curry or pineapple.

Make the most of these precious last few weeks/days. Your life is about to be turned on its arse-end, but clearly if baby hasn't turned up yet, then they're not ready. Something is telling them it's not time.

You can't rush perfection Smile

Yummymummyyobe1 · 13/04/2012 17:43

I know Flisspaps I know just impatient mummy here. Baby will be here when he is good and ready and he isn't. When are they going to induce you? xx

OP posts:
Flisspaps · 13/04/2012 17:46

They're not going to induce me.

It's not something I will agree to. I am not prepared to risk the damage i had the first time happening again. If expectant management shows a problem the only thing I will give consent for is EMCS.

Commutinghell · 13/04/2012 18:54

I'm only 34 weeks but I'm so worried about going overdue I've been reading about things that might help already. I've read that evening primrose oil can help. Has anyone tried this? I think I might give it ago when I get to full term unless anyone has heard anything awful about it?

Flisspaps · 13/04/2012 19:00

No Commutinghell, I've not tried it - I've know of one person who used it recently in their second pg and went to 40+2.

Why are you so concerned about being 'overdue'? EDD is an estimated date, and normal pregnancy is between 37 and 42 weeks anyway.

hermionestranger · 13/04/2012 19:02

I agree, nothing, NoTHinG bloody works I get them out! Ds2 went to term +12, FFs!

I tried everything, reflexology, acupuncture, sex (ha like that was even possibly with SPD), pineapple, raspberry leaf tea, clary sage (gallons) and nothing would make the little man get out!

He showed up the day after ds1's Christmas fair at school and I baked a tray of cakes for it. Quite frankly i was sick of being asked, still not here yet then? I also had the added bonus of being caught in the worst winter weather for years. It was -10 the night he wads finally born. 40+12.EnvyAngry

Flisspaps · 13/04/2012 19:09

hermione I feel your pain, DD was 40+16 Hmm.

jenbird · 13/04/2012 19:13

Sex worked for me with last two. Both times we did the deed and then within a matter of hours my waters went. Apparently it will only help you along if you really are ready to go x

Commutinghell · 13/04/2012 22:39

Thanks Flisspaps. Love your username. I'm worried because of family history of problems with inductions, some ending very badly. Has anyone else tried the evening primrose oil?

BeyondTheLimitsOfAcceptability · 13/04/2012 23:30

I took EPO with DS - 2 days overdue

Been taking it with DS2 - currently 8 days overdue

Grin Angry

Commutinghell · 13/04/2012 23:37

Ah thanks for letting me know Beyond. I've read that when you're overdue, inserting an evening primrose capsule into your vagina and letting it dissolve can work better than taking them orally. I will be trying everything but definitely going for the oral method first!!

Flisspaps · 14/04/2012 07:56

May I suggest eating a whole bag of chocolate mid-shapes?

They appear to have done the trick for me.

I think.

Either that or being 40+10 has something to do with the pains that have had me up since 3.30...
