So far I have tried:

Raspberry Tea
Warm Baths
The birthing ball

Baby has been 2/5 engaged for ever 8 weeks so far, what is he doing and how is he hanging in there.

Although I do believe that this little one has spoken to his solicitor and has been advised that he is entitiled to stay put until his due date.

So come on ladies lets write a MN eviction plan. xx

I know! Walk up LOADS of stairs and go shopping with a toddler who throws a major tantrum in the middle of mother care!
Basically, went to shopping centre this morning with DP and DS, he has been throwing major tantrums all day..I've walked around carrying him (he's 3 years old next month) we also parked in a multi-storey car park and the lift was taking ages.so I thought what harm can it do? I walked down them and walked back up then when I was already nackered from being dragged around town.
I am now having pains every 15 minutes, started at 20 minutes and within an hour has reduced in time and increased in intensity. Hope they don't stop!

Yummymummyyobe1 · 14/04/2012 16:10

Oh Confused hope things are on the move.

I have been having very odd pains in my groin all day and my bump is rock hard. I have spent the last two days peeing non stop and am actually wondering if my waters have gone as my pee is clear with (TMI) what looks like melted ice cream in. The pains are coming and going but quite regular and very painful.

Think you should maybe get that checked Yummymummyyobe1 :) could be the start of something great! Seriously though you need to get it checked about your waters. Xx

Flisspaps · 14/04/2012 16:25

That sounds like your waters...and the start of contractions!

heartmoonshadow · 14/04/2012 17:31

I would like to join in I am 37+2 and I have for the last couple of weeks had high blood pressure query pre-eclampsia just like last time. I have been in and out of hospital like a yoyo and quite frankly I am fed up with the messing about. I finally got to see my consultant today and she was very nice about everything and asked if I wanted a PE - not pleasant but I said yes. She checked I am 2cm dilated and she asked me if I wanted a sweep, at the time I said no because I wasn't prepared for it but in hindsight I wish I had said yes. I was monitored and you could see I was having some small contractions about every 5 minutes lasting for 1minute at a time but they were not very intense. The problem I have is that the baby is still very high and showing no signs of wanting to come down and press on the cervix. Anyway I have been sent home and nothing no pains, no bleeding no waters breaking spontaneously I am so fed up!

I have an appointment with her on Wednesday I may ask her to sweep or do ARM then just to get me started properly.

ProlificYoungGentlemenBreeder · 14/04/2012 19:17

Confused is right! Mothercare does bring on labour...well it did for me.
I feel your pain ladies I was in slow labour for 15 days! He wasn't even my first!
Hope these babies hurry up and come safely and with a large side of tea, toast and sleep for mummy!

Yummymummyyobe1 · 14/04/2012 22:06

Thanks confused and Fliss. If things don't improve tomorrow (when we should be painting the nursery. (Hint crown normal colours are 2 for 1 at B&Q at the moment 5l for less then £19) then we will had to delivery again. I feel like I am wasiting their time if I go for the third time in 6 weeks and it is a false alarm again.

heartmoonshadow hope things get better for you.

ProlificYoungGentlemenBreeder I think it must be the prices in there that does it and to really get things going head to Mama's and Papa's and look at sleigh cots.

So I was up until 4am this morning with pains every 5 minutes. They did increase in pain but didn't get closer then 5 minutes. I didn't go L+D because of DS, want to make sure its definatly started before disturbing him.I got up at 4 went to downstairs come back to bed and they'd stopped!!was just about to wake DP up and say we gotta go. Gutted. But I do have a really sharp stitch like pain in my left to the middle which has been consistent since yesterday morning and that is very painful. But have had it before so assume that's stretching or what not.

ProlificYoungGentlemenBreeder · 15/04/2012 10:42

Must be the prices! That or the really long queues.
Quick go find those sleigh cots!

Good luck ladies :)

Flisspaps · 15/04/2012 10:42

DS born at 8am today, in hospital, forceps. 1500 ml PPH Shock

Laboured at home for 25 hours with water and G&A s and transferred in an ambulance after an hour of pushing and no movement (well, not baby movement anyway Blush)

Mind you, at 11lb 7 he wasn't going to be shifted easily.... no, not a typo. The growth scan was wrong...and not In a good way Hmm

confuzed90 · 15/04/2012 15:30

Yummymummyyobe1 how are you?

LouisaJF · 17/04/2012 11:28

Congratulations Flisspaps.

I'm joining in too. 39 weeks today and dying to get him here. We've been waiting for 2 years for this, and I've never been good at being patient! Had some pains over the weekend but nothing significant. I feel like he's getting ready but I don't think we're there yet. If he's anything like Daddy he's sure to be late!

Yummymummyyobe1 fingers crossed for you. He can't keep you waiting much longer!

Yummymummyyobe1 · 17/04/2012 11:54

Hi confused fed up to say the least. We think things are moving and then nothing. I am sure Harry thinks it is a game. How are you. xx

Hi LouisaJF I am led to believe that boys tend to start life late and stay that way for ever more Wink

I am at the MW tomorrow so going to speak to her and ask again if Harry on route. He can't possibly drop any lower without using the umbilical cord as a Bungee Rope.

A friend of DP mentioned that her waters didn't break during early labour and they were broken just before baby was born as he blocked them and so she suggests that anything that feels like a contraction then they usually .

I'm ok! Fed up to...so don't think bad of me but I've persuaded my midwife to give me a sweep on monday! I am so ready I know their not always effective but its worth a shot! 39 weeks tomorrow and really need something to take my mind off of it..I am sat waiting for pains to start and monitoring every little pain I do get. Urgh. Don't think he'll be just yet, feeling overly tired past 2 days. Energy all weekend and now feel dead. Lol. feel unbelievably sick though. Xx

Yummymummyyobe1 · 17/04/2012 13:29

confuzed90 I feel the same I'm very impatient and uncomfortable.

I am going to discuss this with the MW tomorrow, as I have a lot of pain in my groin that feels like popping for days now. It is getting painful now. I am the same waiting for something to happen.

I'm feeling full of cold and tired today.

I would do just about anything right now...want my body back. My poor DS is 3 next month and I just stress at him, and feel guilty for my DP, he's been at work since 6 and will get home at half 2 and I still haven't tidied up much, not that messy anyway as I don't like dirt, but all iv done is 1 load of washing. And I usually have his dinner ready for when he walks through door but I couldn't manage it yesterday and feel like todays going to be a struggle to :(

We're not even at our due date yet and look at us!! Lol.
Xx

Yummymummyyobe1 · 17/04/2012 13:44

Hey don't be so hard on yourself confused you are doing a pretty amazing thing here, our baby's need us a life support machine. Everything we eat they get first dibs (hence all the yummy chocolate Wink).

Your DP can fend for himeself from time to time you need to rest at the moment and you have all the extra stress of an almost 3 year old DS to care for. I'm sure cuddles with mummy will make DS okay.

OMG another 1 week & 5 days before my due date Ahhhh. Hurry up baby Harry.

xx

confuzed90 · 17/04/2012 13:54

Thankyou. Doesn't help that DS is making such a mess with all his toys. And he wants me to sit on floor and play with him and I just can't. Feel really emotional yet irritable :(
Don't mention how long till due dates :( 1 week tomorrow. I would be induced if I went over, each to their own, I was induced with DS at 40+11 due to pre-eclampsia but I was scheduled for 40+14 for induction anyway. Basically what I'm saying is I keep thinking of it like this, 3 weeks maximum till I have my baby. Which makes me feel slightly better. So try thinking of it like that? Unless you won't get induced.
Xx

Yummymummyyobe1 · 17/04/2012 14:14

I will be induced if need be, this lo has been engaged for a long time and there are quite a few tightenings on a daily basis. They don't get any stronger but are very very regular.

You are well within your right to be emotional and irritable at this point. Hormones have a lot to answer for.

Why not have cuddly storytime on the sofa with a snack and perhaps a snuggly nap. Wink.
