So far I have tried:

Raspberry Tea
Warm Baths
The birthing ball

Baby has been 2/5 engaged for ever 8 weeks so far, what is he doing and how is he hanging in there.

Although I do believe that this little one has spoken to his solicitor and has been advised that he is entitiled to stay put until his due date.

So come on ladies lets write a MN eviction plan. xx

Fingers crossed for you Kat, Which curry do you have coming. I have been having tightenings on and off for days.

Quick question ladies: Have you had any odd sensations, Clicking/popping noises in your groin. They are really really odd and cause my bump to tighten up and also (sorry tmi) I feel wet but nothing on pad. xx

Beautiful baby jake hayden was born at 5.24 this morning. He weighs 7pound 10 ounce, has sparkling blue eyes and bright blonde hair! Looks exactly like his brother!! Xx

justhayley · 28/04/2012 09:04

Congratulations confused really happy for you Grin how was the labour? hope you and Jake are doing well - see you on our postnatal thread Grin

Any news yummy or laughing?

justhayley · 28/04/2012 09:15

Oh laughing my legs twitched loads during acupuncture as well and each session I had (was having them every few weeks from 30 weeks) my bubba was jumping around so much it felt like he invited friends over for a party! I'm also convinced he started to engage during a session, it was amazing I actually felt him moving down, my MW said this is quite common? I still have 2 sessions booked - I was convinced I was going to be overdue lol need to use them really.

louisa my waters broke at midnight on Friday 13th I went to hospital on the Saturday morning & was told the same as u, either come back when contractions kick off or 8am Sunday morning. Contractions ended up starting naturally at 9.30pm Saturday night and baby was here by 1.45am Sunday morning Grin
If your bubba hasn't already arrived yet he/she is def on the way. Stay calm and try get some rest until things get going. Good luck Grin

Kit sorry forgot u in the last post Blush good luck to u as well hope u get your baby soon Grin

Xx

All is ok thankyou! He is just so sleepy, won't wake up for a feed yet when he was born that was all he wanted! Latched on for 5 minutes then stopped now nothing.

Labour was ok, I felt achy for a while as you all know, then friday I basically didn't want him to come! I said today is the day I actually don't want to go into labour. We where going out and buying a new car and me and DP where just having a day together as no DS, was having bad back ache all day, which to me seemed usual, I then noticed contractions here and there, normal for me.then suddenly I felt a really bad pain at 20 past 5, kept coming every 3 minutes and was so powerful.I refused to even think it was labour, went to MIL and did my best to hide pain, then got home and went to bed, (at 6) which by half past I was in complete agony, was shaking and everything. So my DP insisted I come to hospital, I was having them every 1-2 minutes now and got checked at hospital and was 3-4cm. Waited 4 hours, and was 5cm. Reason for this being because he was laid sideways which meant he wasn't able to be directly on my cervix to help it dilate. .... And so on.. His heartbeat was low, baby wouldn't move position so I had to try, was threatened with forceps and vacuum suction. I was severly dehydrated aswell, so started panicking about it all. Waters had to be broken at about 9 cm I think she did it due to risk of cord prolapse because baby wasn't coming down enough due to his position.
Anyway, after all that, I eventually had him 12 hours after contractions began officially, and 1 and a half hours pushing due to his position. Now all snuggled up :)
Thankyou xx

Yummymummyyobe1 · 28/04/2012 15:41

I'm so glad it all went okay in the end Confused. Make use of his sleepy time. xx

I haven't been to sleep yet, since 7.30 yesterday morning I've been up. Its so hard in hospital to get to sleep when just had baby. He keeps being sick and gipping on amniotic fluid which hed swallowed/breathed in. And I can't get him to feed so we're in till tomorrow. Xx

laughingGnomette · 28/04/2012 15:58

Big congratulations confuzed90!! One and a half hours pushing sounds like hell, so glad to hear he made it out safely in the end.

No baby news from me I'm afraid. Had another curry last night (very yummy!) and a bit of a walk around London today which has killed my back so I'm now back at home feeling sorry for myself!!

Hi justhayley, I wish I'd started my acupuncture sessions earlier, it sounds like it really worked for you. I've got my next session on Tuesday and so far I can visibly see that my bump has dropped a bit since yesterday. She added some extra pins in my legs to help with the horrible swollen feet I've been getting and I am absolutely amazed and thrilled with the results, my feet look almost normal again!!! So happy. I hope everything is good your end, how is your little boy getting on?

kat1885 · 28/04/2012 18:30

Hey all!

Congrats Confuzed your baby boy sounds beautiful!

I'm still with bump rather than baby so I have resigned myself to the fact I will have to stick with the induction appointment on Monday - my DSs will share a birthday lol.

On the downside DS1 has a temp today (not too high - 37.9 in both ears) - just hoping he isn't coming down with anything as I don't think my hormones would cope with that right now.

Yummy/justhayley - hope your babies make apperances soon xx

Yummymummyyobe1 · 28/04/2012 19:11

Hope DS1 is okay Kat. Hopefully baby will make an appearance before Monday for you.

Hope everyone is ok. I really hope ur babies come soon for you!! During labour and pushing, just keep thinking.."Ill be holding my baby soon", the more you listen and do as the midwife tells you the better.
Good luck for you all..none of you have long! God I sound like one of them annoying people now who say "not long" lol xx

LouisaJF · 29/04/2012 20:05

Baby Benjamin was born on Saturday evening and he's the most beautiful thing I ever saw. Finally got admitted on Friday evening as I was booked to be induced on Saturday morning due to my waters breaking. By Saturday morning I got to 7cm on my own with nothing but a TENs machine, and went to 9cm with just G&A. He certainly took his time and I hit the heavy drugs hard as he was back to back until right before I started pushing but every bit of it was worth it.

confuzed90 · 29/04/2012 20:35

Congratulations louisa...yes my baby was laid funny which caused bad back pain in labour to! Horrid! But its amazing that you forget all the pain isn't it? I can't wait for the rest of you to have your babies they really are the most beautiful things :)

Yummymummyyobe1 · 30/04/2012 13:44

Congratulations louisa.

Baby Harry arrived at 04:26 in the morning on the 26th April weighing a very healthy 8lbs 3oz. My waters went at 21:00 and we headed to the hospital I was 1cm dilated and sent home at 00:00. We got home and I took two paracetomol and 3 baths later we were ready to go. So back to the hospital 03:00am and I was 8cm (no time for a water birth) and hour and 26 minutes later Harry arrived. (the midwife was amazed at how quickly labour went as a first timer 7 & 1/2 hours). We went up the ward at 10:30 and mummy, Daddy and Harry were all home by 18:30 (in time for tea) xx

Yay! Congrats Louisa and Yummy!

MummySunshine · 30/04/2012 19:34

I'd strongly recommend bumping into someone you don't want to...was 41+1 with my DS when I bumped onto his dad with his new girlfriend...said to my mum 'god that was stressful..I bet that'll send me into labour' And hey
Presto he was born that night!!!

Ladies I feel your pain!

confuzed90 · 30/04/2012 20:33

Aww yay yummy congrats!! Xx

Yummymummyyobe1 · 30/04/2012 21:33

Thanks laughingGnomette and Confused.

Mummy and Daddy love him so much and he enjoyed a long walk along the sea front today. xx

Congratulations Louisa and Yummy really happy for you both. I really should be sleeping now but whilst catching up on MN I'm watching my baby - I'm slightly obsessed they are amazing! When did Harry arrive yummy?

confuzed90 · 01/05/2012 10:53

Yes I agree with the obsession! Even though I'm not getting much sleep in the night, and awake with DS1 all day I don't feel overly tired, I just can't stop looking at him, he is a true beauty. Perfect in every single way!
I haven't been experiencing baby blues yet, had a few cries over silly things but in general I feel very happy. As though my life is complete. I am still sore, but my boobs are absolutely killing me! They are engorged, so huge, rock solid and very heavy and full.lumpy. Just hoping the pain of bf stops soon, as this was a major difficulty with my first.
I'm so happy we are all having our babies! Now I do believe we we're so impatient..all that stressing about meeting them! Now the times going too fast! My little boy is 3 days old already!unbelievable.
Xx

kat1885 · 01/05/2012 12:20

Aaron was born yesterday at 6.18am prior to induction. Had a very fast established labour - got to hospital at 3.40am was 4cm, gas and air made me vom so after 2 sucks so as I was so little dilated I requested an epidural as I couldn't deal with no pain relief, was pushing before they finished putting the line in. Epidural didn't work until they were putting in my stitches so didn't get pain relief after all! Oh, and that "large baby" ended up being 7lb 13.5oz :o

He's not feeding well as he has a poor suck reflex so combo feeding atm and will go with whatever he takes to best - have to syringe feed at least 15ml every 2 hrs and then offer bottle/breast and go from there. Don't mind what he eats as long as it's something :(

confuzed90 · 01/05/2012 13:29

Congratulations kat!lookat us all having our babies :D as for the feeding kat jake was like that the day he was born. Didn't touch a thing, and now I cnt get him off me!
Good luck with everything everyone!
