The third instalment as we're a talkative bunch!

Lol Haggis, its nice to know we're in the same boat & as everything changes daily with the old symptoms & outbursts (!!) we can all support one another through the good & the bad :-)

squidkid · 04/03/2012 18:12

Hi

Nice weekend, saw some mates and my brother, bit exhausted. Don't really want to talk but really wanted to say thank you to everyone who was so kind to me on Friday.

Just got sent a rather cryptic message saying missbone has been slagging me off on facebook(?), as far as I'm aware I've not had a disagreement with her (or anyone) so I'm not sure what that's about, I feel a bit too old for that sort of thing so I think I'll bow out. Didn't mean to piss anyone off.

much love and luck for all your pregnancies. much love and hope to all those who've had bad news.

squid. x

Angelico · 04/03/2012 18:19

Board number 3! Ah ha!

HaggisNeepsTatties · 04/03/2012 18:33

squidkid that does sound cryptic. Sorry if you feel you have to go. We'll be thinking of you, and hope all goes ok with work and the change of job xx

Bubblebell1 · 04/03/2012 18:33

Hey all.

Hope all is well. Been a long weekend. Looking forward to an early night.

squid sorry your leaving. Perhaps you should ignore the message. Maybe it's someone trying to cause trouble. It's all rather strange.
miss has been the victim of their bullying and I hope your not next.

HaggisNeepsTatties · 04/03/2012 18:35

And also meant to say squidkid I don't think you've pissed anyone off, not that I've noticed anyway!

Bubblebell1 · 04/03/2012 18:36

I wanted to say also that I am friends with miss on Facebook and she has never said a bad word about any of the girls on here. She is a genuinely nice woman with all the right intentions.
I don't understand how the women on the other thread can behave like playground bullies

Bubblebell1 · 04/03/2012 18:36

And you havnt pissed me off Grin

DameFlatYouLent · 04/03/2012 19:41

squid don't go based on a cryptic message. Hang about at least until it's confirmed either way? I understand that things can get a bit mental here - I dip in and out as it's quite a rollercoaster of emotions, and can be a bit scary. There's been some weird stuff going on but perhaps you could ask missbone herself?

Bubblebell1 · 04/03/2012 19:47

dame I agree but missbone can't reassure squid because mumsnet have cancelled her account.
I've just spoken with her and she is really upset that now someone else has been dragged into this mess.

Midgetm · 04/03/2012 19:54

Blimey. squid don't go. Seems an unlikely story and why on earth would anyone want to tell you about it even if it were true? . We all need the support of each other, especially in this first trimester madness. We have already lost enough of us to cruel mother nature and thread wars, I for one would like to make sure we keep all we can. Keep calm and carry on. Come on, you know you want to xx

bettybat · 04/03/2012 20:03

squid! Please don't go! Aren't we all a bit old for all this she said/she did nonsense?

Just ignore, keep posting merrily away here and ignore the drama. Give it no oxygen and it will surely die out. Honestly it's all bollocks! And I totally get how you might be feeling a little paranoid/vulnerable/emotional (I'm so sorry if I am projecting!) but genuinely who cares about who said what :)

You seem like a very lovely lady and I wouldn't wish for you to go because of pretend, made up, make believe nonsense - even if things have been said, what impact does it actually have on your life? Versus the benefits of venting in this thread, getting some support, reassurance and perspective?

FjordMor · 04/03/2012 20:04

tlm what an ordeal! Thinking of you & sending hugs.

squid you haven't pissed anyone off sounds like some messed up individual trying to stir. After all - what point telling you that? To hurt you? So you would leave the board? So you would dislike missb (with what pathetic agenda?)? Hate to see you go if you're serious Sad.

Not had a good day today. Missed a deadline & a writer's meeting due to MS. Had to tell the editor about being pregnant & then felt really crap that I'm crying 'too sick' to finish a bit of work (FFS I'm not even holding down a job!!) DSDs being rude & misbehaving all weekend (heaven knows what will happen when we tell them). Also had to put off my trip across Europe by another 4 days due to the late article (and high winds on the Skaggerak - can't have morning sickness + seasickness on a boat, in a car, in a gale - that's my idea of a nightmare). But I have digressed into moaning. It's just life. In some ways I was grateful for my MS today. It's like every time I go a few days without symptoms & worry, bean sends me a tidal wave of it to remind me he's still there.

Hoping for no more board related dramas. Makes me sad Sad. Let's keep this thread the supportive nest it has been so far :-)

FjordMor · 04/03/2012 20:08

Cross-posted but basically - everything Midgetm said 2nded.

Bubblebell1 · 04/03/2012 20:10

fjord I hope everything picks up soon. I know what you mean I have had a few symptom free days and now I feel crap again.

Have any of you seen the baking powder thread in the pregnancy topic?
I was going to try it and see what happens . I wondered if any of you were going to do it?

DameFlatYouLent · 04/03/2012 20:13

Fjord blimey - I'm quite an anxious type (live at stress level approx 7 just as normal - so for anxious type read "borderline nutter" Grin) - so I think you're allowed a moan about that! Sounds awful. hope the winds die down Sad

Hadn't realised missbone's account had been cancelled. It's bizarre the way this stirring is going on. I agree with fjord, let's keep the thread supportive and as positive as possible. squid, come back!! I've really enjoyed reading your posts, even if I've been more of a lurker than a poster recently...

DameFlatYouLent · 04/03/2012 20:14

Baking powder? Is that to do with MS?

Bubblebell1 · 04/03/2012 20:16

Apparently you put a teaspoon full in a cup and pee on it. If it fizzes then it's a boy and if it bubbles or no reaction it's a girl. Hmm

DameFlatYouLent · 04/03/2012 20:17

Hahaha!! And here was me hoping for a miracle cure for perpetual nausea. Sigh. I shall continue to quease...

DameFlatYouLent · 04/03/2012 20:17

btw what's the difference between fizzing and bubbling? or do you think it's quite obvious? i think I would be confused and unsure...

Bubblebell1 · 04/03/2012 20:20

Haha I'm sorry dame if I find a cure for the sickness I shall first share with you then Market it Grin

Yeah it normally fizzes right up into the cup for a boy and just the odd bubble/no reaction for a girl.

DameFlatYouLent · 04/03/2012 20:22

Have you tried it? I've heard of putting a ring on a strand of hair (but I can never remember what's supposed to happen for which gender) but each time I tried with DC1 it did something different. Helpful.

HaggisNeepsTatties · 04/03/2012 20:24

I feel very sad that missbone's account has been cancelled. I hope she's doing ok.
I agree with everyone, we need this thread to be a place for support, reassurance and advice.

OP posts:
HaggisNeepsTatties · 04/03/2012 20:26

bubblebell think I had enough peeing on sticks to check I really was pregnant! Besides I don't want to find out the sex, though DH does and is convinced we're having a boy!

OP posts:
Bubblebell1 · 04/03/2012 20:28

Not yet. I will do. I'm not sure what to expect tho. 1 psychic said I would have 6 sons. this is my 7th pregnancy but 3rd child and I'm not having anymore so I don't know what to think. I do have a feeling it's a boy tho.

The ring goes in circles for a girl and back and forth for a boy
