Eviepoo · 20/08/2011 17:40

Congrats Verona I'm not Envy at all promise Grin.... I honestly had this stupid idea we'd have babies the same day afetr all the daft coincidences.

Well Sarge n littlebrighteyes just seems like it's us now.

I'm okay - just so fed up. If soemone else tells me to do one of those stuid old wives tales I may go mental.

On a positive side in the oven I currently have....peppers, tomatoes and courgettes roasting together. Some crusty bread warming and a pasturized camenbert getting hot and gooey....runny cheese n roast veg on crusty bread...can almost not wait for it to cook.

Eviepoo · 20/08/2011 17:42

excuse my mis-spellings...I'm a bit tired

and sod it I'm having a glass of vino with my cheese...

alicedee · 21/08/2011 09:33

Me, me, me....I'm still here too! just bored and tired and lost my place on the thread and didn't have to the energy to go looking.....
Due today. Awake with period pains all night and feel kinda pre-menstrual today.
I've had enough. If bumpkin hasn't arrived by tonight, I'm gonna go and demand a c-section or perform one myself, at home with a bottle of voddie for anaesthetic. I know we're not late yet, but I've just had it with the hormonal waiting......
Hope you ladies are having a better time.
How was the cheesey veg and wine Evie??

alicedee · 21/08/2011 09:35

Oh and sorry Veronah, I meant to start with a BIG congratulations. I hope you're having a lovely babymoon!!

Yeah, everyone said I'd be early as it's my second. Indeed Bollocks!
I don't know which is worse, the heartburn, piles or the trots......
Pregnancy, such a glamorous condition. Makes me wonder what celebrity pregnacies are like.
A friend told me the other day, when complaining (as usual), not to worry, as no-one has ever got to 10 (calendar, I guess) months...
I could have killed! Its like some kind of challenge. Coz if anyone could break that record, I'm sure its me! Still, I could be moaning for nothing and be holding my baby tomorrow! (where did that blast of optimism come from??)

Eviepoo · 21/08/2011 15:04

Well it's my due date today....DH said all along due date. He reckons 9pm tonight.
Oh I hope he is right!! LOL not holding my breath though - just incase.

I have been having tiny little bits of show since Wednesday (I think it is show it is thick mucus type stuff - sorry TMI - but no blood or anything in it).My pelvis really hurts now, getting up from bed or chair or even turning over is agony.

So you never know.

Slightly disappointing. Didn't bother with wine as DH had finished the last of the bottle and thought I wouldn't open another. Also - pasturized camenbert went lumpy not runny in the oven :( My roast veg was amazing though.

The crap thing was I was supposed to be induced last week due to the GD...but the doc said as my cervix was still long she was doing me a favour leaving me another week, as induction is better for me if I have effaced.

I think I will cry at tomorrow's appointment if my cervix is not ready

TBH - I think my cervix just may do the work - when I am actually in labour, I had my show about 9pm with DD (and was contracting 2 mins apart then)and she was born at 12.43am

congrats verona!

Good luck to the rest of you. It really is amazing not to be pregnant, OH said all the tension has disappeared and i back to normal self its almost weird cos he got used to me being a moaning bitch! Hang on in there!

Eviepoo · 21/08/2011 20:39

it's now past 8.30 and I feel like crap.
Hot, achey, exhausted, a bit sick, full of wind and having Braxton Hicks.

I thought it was the starts of labour an hour or so ago, but the irregular contractions - are annoying, not painful.

I think DH was wrong and I will be spending tomorrow afternoon in the Obs clinic at the hospital again.

alicedee · 21/08/2011 21:36

Oh well, I guess it is going to be late then! I can't see us delivering in the next 3 hours!
I just hope it's not as overdue as DD! (41+6 ouch!)
I'm coming to the conclusion that really there's just no point even thinking about it any more and it'll happen, when it happens....
The only issue for me is that I have a home birth booked and when it starts getting close to 42 weeks they won't let you have one. So come on.....
Speak tomorrow.
Good luck with that Obs appointment evie......

Eviepoo · 22/08/2011 07:43

I was sooo ill last night, major pains in my chest, felt sick etc.
Oh boy did I throw up!! was bad. On a positive I felt a bit better afterwards.

All I could face then was a pint of milk. I then got some sleep

I then puked again this morning! when I first got up, have managed tea ad cereal now though.

What is going on?. Peace shattered today DH WFH so he can come with me this afternoon.

DD starts secondary school today!!!! aaahhh I feel old :)...that and now we are having a fight to get her to eat a proper breakfast.

emoo777 · 22/08/2011 09:04

Hello ladies, Congratulations to all of those who have had their babies. Although I haven't been around for a long time I seem to be going through a lot of the same stuff as those of you who are still waiting so would like to sympathise. I am due on the 28th but have had a lot of strong BH for the last 4 days (sometimes painful), two nights of strong period-like pains and backache when I thought labour might be happening but nothing. Beginning to question whether I am imagining it all! Finding this pregnancy tough with a 17 month old, and also having loads of work done on the house. Lets hope these babies come soon, particularly for those of you who are overdue (was 6 days late last time).

alisonsmum · 22/08/2011 10:24

im due on sat (27th august) feeling bit nervous now tbh...got a dd 22 months n shes keeping me busy. hopsital bags all packed, got 2 bags n way too much stuff lol

Eviepoo · 23/08/2011 07:56

Hi guys,

Well appoinment was okay, the internal = well on a postive note did not hurt as much, however proved that I haven't thinned much more.

So I am going to check and re-pack my hospital bag as I think I will need some more stuff, (only 1 outfit and 2 PJ's in there) might not take more but leave extras out for DH to bring if needed. I need to pack snacks!

I am going in tomorrow evening and getting the pessary, doc said for me to expect it to be in for 24 hours (and yes I have to stay in due to the complications....:(). Then the next step is 3 lots of the gel 6 hours apart (if needed). Then plan is to break my waters (as long as I have dilated by pessary or gel). Then last option is the drip if contractions don't start.

They have said that at any point - any of that may trigger active labour but I am thinking the worst then anything else is a positive....so worst case is doc reckons by Sunday. (best case I go in labour myself today).

All going well I will only be in for a day or two afterwards to get my injections sorted out (as soon as I can do them I will be allowed home).

So after tomorrow it may be next week before I am online.

I have been looking at it practically, I know I wanted to stay at home until well into labour (like I did with DD) and I know I am likely to get fed up in hospital but at least we can plan for the week. DH can arrange to be off work in advance and I've arranged for my sister to sleep here a couple of nights so that DD is fine for school (sis can get to work form here no problem).

Today I am going to go book shopping with sis (to have something for in hospital) and I will potter round today and tomorrow just making sure everything is okay for DD and DH while I am away. (not that I am worried DH is brilliant - as I go away for work a few times a year he is used to handling everything, but I would prefer for DH to be with me as much as possible).

I've only told my mum, sis, MIL etc whats going on - told everyone else just another checkup on Wed so DH is not bombarded with questions.
I put a notice on FB saying no news - we will post when there is some.

Any other news for you ladies?

well good luck evie,if i dont hear from u in a while-i was induced with all 3 of my other dc-so know what its like -lot waiting round for the gel thing to work-but at least u know the ball is rolling-i will most likely end up in same boat this time around too,by looks of things ...lol

Sorry about my absence, but...
I've had a baby!
A beautiful boy, at 8lb. Born last night at home, with only gas and air!
The most amazing (and painful!) experience of my life.
Will post more, when I can do more than stare lovingly at my new baby!
It will happen to you all soon! I wish you every luck!

Eviepoo · 24/08/2011 16:35

Hi everyone that's still waiting/congrats to everyone else!

I went in last sunday night (14th) to be induced that started off contractions that lasted until wednesday when i was FINALLY taken to the labour ward. 14 hours later baby boy had turned sideways and was lying on a nerve in my back, ended up in theatre to try and turn him. Lucky the surgeon was able to turn him and deliver him and so I avoided a c-section but have myself a lovely huge episiotomy from the forceps! He weighed a huuugge 8lb 3oz, which isn't THAT bad considering he was born on the 17th August, 2 weeks over due!

Was in hospital until the following saturday with both of us on anti-biotic IV's beacuse I had a high white blood cell count which meant we had some form of infection. But after a week in hospital and a dramatic birth me and Jonah Alexander are home safe and recovering/plodding on with trying to breastfeed :D

Towards the end I resented being pregnant so much, but I feel so empty now :( Have been getting serious bump envy! xxx

Congratulations Rooks

Just a quickiemessage from me,

I had a wee girl yesterday morning at 8.14am at 9lb3oz. Labour was really tough due to the induction I think, but I'll tell you all about that later.

I'm fine and Grace is the most perfect angel of a baby, so content and quiet.

Good luck to the rest of you, I'll post more when I am settled
