I've seen a thread for June, July and September. But none for the future leo babies!
I'm due on the 3rd! Anyone else around then? :)

OP posts:

Hey rooks perhaps you could suggest that constantly being monitored by your MIL is making you stressed so she is in fact delaying the baby's arrival Wink.....

rooks14 · 04/08/2011 14:24

I'm a geogrpahy student but I don't start giving everyone advice about the weather etc 24-7, so I don't know why people that have a remote link to nursing feel qualified in anything medical!

To be honest I really really am not that uncomfy and stuff. I'm just bored of waiting and being stuck at home and the fact everyone is so interested. Obviously love the fact everyone cares about the baby, but I don't like the fact everyones facebook status' are urging me to go into labour Confused bit creepy when OH's uncle is asking if I've had any movements....

rooks14 · 04/08/2011 14:24

when are you due pashazade?

Eviepoo · 04/08/2011 14:25

Yes - I shall get out and about, drive to Toys r us is 15 mins tops and actually half way to DH's work so if anything kicked off he could get to me quicker than he could get here. Actually might text DH and tell him to meet me there after his work anyway.
Pity the sainsburys is the opposite direction, they have Hendricks gin on offer and my sister in Aus loves it when I send her some - and my other sisters bloke is heading out there next week, so I have to get some for him to take. Hence the trip to toys r us, my older nephew is now lego mad thanks to DH and I sending him stuff. But my sis said it's extortionate price there. So I'm sending a fire station for Christmas :) (I sent a fire engine out with my mum when she went end of June).

DH took the car Mon/Tues/Wed ad I just had to walk up to the local shops etc.

Remember that DD is almost 12....and sonograms have come on a bit since then

I've not told DD or DH but I have a strong feeling now this is a boy (DD really wants a brother and although DH would never admit it I think he would love a son) If I told them and my feeling was wrong I think they'd be gutted. It's ok for me - I've got different to what I was expecting once before and it wasn't a big deal.

Keep me posted on all the happenings ladies....a live labour news will maybe cheer me up (especially if it is my own!!)

rooks14 · 04/08/2011 14:33

My brother gave me all his childhood lego (he's 22) and DP has been playing with it for weeks! Big kid! It's actually indestructible, deffo worth the extortionate price since it's been passed through my cousins and back to us now! :)

Pashazade · 04/08/2011 15:19

I'm due on the 16th, but I was early so hoping this business of it running in families comes true, but fighting the boredom is the worst and trying to do it without eating copious amounts of cake is harder!! :)

rooks14 · 04/08/2011 15:22

I've suddenly got really sick this week! Have just been eating carbs by the bucketload! Could do with cake tho :D
I came on my due date and DP was early, so that theory hasn't worked for us unfortunatley! :(

Pashazade · 04/08/2011 15:29

oh well hey ho, we shall see.....fortunately no one has started pestering me yet as to whether or not I've had the baby, like they think we'd keep it a secret, it's such a dumb question to ask, anyone close enough to ask would be informed!!

theonlyhb2 · 04/08/2011 15:46

Evie i had to laugh....loose stools....i swear today was the first time i have done a full solid one for 6 months! I hope i am not going backwards ;)

i been having sex every day. It's quite fun! 12 days to go! It can be late cos i have been so ill with this chest infection, need to get better, need to eat more! Still no nesting urges. I must get a nursing bra too

Eviepoo · 04/08/2011 19:46

the only
I spoke too soon - can't go to the loo today and now I have piles...Oh the glamour of pregnancy. Sex? whats that - I forgot how I conceived!! LOL kidding but we haven't had any in ages, I'm sure he's too scared now. Might be worth trying to convince him it's worth a try.

My bump is a rock

I'm fed up today

so fed up I'm going to cheat and have a biscuit with my tea

DH is sending me to bed...to try get myself a little cherrier.

Pashazade - I know huh, do they think we will say... 'well yes I had my baby and decided not to tell you' I might actually put a notice out - I'll tell you when Dragon comes - so you don't need to ask!!

alicedee · 04/08/2011 21:06

Evening ladies, I think I may have posted on this thread months ago, but it's all just a blur. My preg. brain is completely addled. I'm due 17th, by HCPs and 21st by our lack of sex reckoning. Second pregnancies are sooo much more tedious. These last weeks are draaagggingg! Have a 4 yo DD, off nursery and just can't play as much as I'd like to and really wanted these last weeks with her as an only child to be as fun as poss, alas I'm pathetic and lump around the place moaning! Aside from all that, I'm sooo excited about meeting this next LO and wish it would just hurry up! Just wanted to stick my 2 pence in and wish everyone an easy and as pleasant as poss end to their pregnancy!

emmanumber3 · 05/08/2011 01:50

Eviepoo - I had a sweep because I've been in & out of hospital since May with BP/protein in urine problems. I was induced at 37 weeks with DS1 for the same thing & was so fed up this past weekend that I was trying to convince the new Consultant that I should be induced this time too. She refused (she doesn't really like to induce at all) but said she would do a sweep instead - more to appease me than because she thought it would work Grin.

I'm due on Monday, baby is barely engaged, still sitting really high and ZERO other signs. Booked in for sweep on the 15th just in case, but getting a bit bored now. DH is a teacher so we're both at home and have enjoyed pottering about, lying in late every day and watching films etc, basically doing things we won't be able to do when baby gets here, but we've had two weeks of that now and it's getting dull. Luckily I am still physically feeling very well apart from bloody heartburn which is not helped by my instinct to sit and eat all the time. Trying to get out for a decent walk every day though now while the weather's nice.

rooks14 · 05/08/2011 11:04

ARGHHHHHHHHHH i'm 2 days overdue :( He's still on 3/5ths engages, which he has been since37 weeks! I'm booked in for a sweep on the 12th August - By 21st birthdays the 14th of August! Bet the little monkey is waiting so I can't have a drink!!

I'm in pretty much the same situation coastgirl. DP has just graduated in mid July and his job doesn't start till September so we're just chilling at home. It's fun for about 3 days but it's getting tedious now!

coastgirl · 05/08/2011 11:09

Rooks, our wedding anniversary is on the 10th! If I can't have some champagne I am going to be very cross!

Eviepoo · 05/08/2011 11:18

HI New and returning ladies Grin

Sargesweyes not had one, would like one, but not sure they will let me get in pool, (I have GD)

thonly tried it Wink but it did not do anything except leave me with sore hips this morning.

Taking car to garage this afternoon - so that will entail me wandering (and going for a cuppa) for a couple of hours

Is a nice day though

It will be 18 months exactly since my wedding day tomorrow - so that would be a nice day for Dragon to come....do you hear that dragon.

Pashazade · 05/08/2011 12:15

Breathe Rooks breathe!!

Sargesweyes I'm sat typing this next to my birthing pool, hoping for a home birth, I think Eviepoo is right and she wouldn't be allowed in the pool with GD, although heaven knows why!

Lots of wriggling so far today, and mucus but no proper show.....apparently I'm getting a little moany now but DH has been so fantastic these past few months I can't begrudge him saying that especially as it's true :)

Pashazade · 05/08/2011 12:20

Oh as a follow up what are you going to eat / drink that you've missed over the past nine months once you don't have to worry about a bump!??

Eviepoo · 05/08/2011 12:34

The sloe gin is in the fridge!!!! Grin

fizzypigs · 05/08/2011 13:03

Hi! I've been lurking on this thread for a while and thought i'd introduce myself! Am 39wks today..so due next fri! First baby so although I know in my head I'm likely to be overdue I already feel cheated!! Really wish the baby would come now!! Am fed up peeing all the time and not sleeping properly..I realise the latter won't change but at least it will feel like sleeplessness has a purpose! Fingers crossed all our babies arrive quickly and safely!! Grin

fizzypigs · 05/08/2011 13:06

Oh in terms of things I'll be indulging in..mussels, blue cheese & lots of vino. Although Evie your idea of sloe gin has given me a sudden craving. I realise I now sound like a total lush! Blush

coastgirl · 05/08/2011 13:21

I would like a big plate of antipasto with lots of parma ham etc. And a Whippy ice-cream (I live by the sea! It's torture seeing people with their 99s!)

Apparently one of the first things a friend did was bend over and touch her toes, because she could! Another had hubby bring a small bottle of red and some cheese to the delivery suite (she is french!) I am dying to eat pate again as it is the one thing I have been very good at avoiding!
