I've seen a thread for June, July and September. But none for the future leo babies!
I'm due on the 3rd! Anyone else around then? :)

I had runny egg today! I just couldn't wait any longer and was making boiled egg and soldiers for DD. It was worth it, but it's blue cheese I really miss. I was stuck at the cheese counter yesterday for ages coveting some really soft roquefort! I know I looked mental, really. If it wasn't for my huge belly, it would have seemed totally "care in the community".....
I'm looking forward to being able to put tights on again, without it being a comedy moment...., being able to see my lady-bits again so I don't have to defoliate trim by feel alone. A somewhat reckless task, that has ended in more comedy, when DP has witnessed the results......
I have mild period type pains today, but to be honest, I fully expect to be in some sort of frustrating pre-labour for weeks! My first was 2 weeks late, with days of stop/start signs.
My birthday is on 29th and DP feels if the baby comes then, he won't have to buy a gift!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you believe?..........
Please come soon baby.........
Anyone had any real signs of imminent labour today???

hayesgirl · 05/08/2011 16:50

Eviepoo and rooks - thanks! Lol! I know it's wishful thinking. To be honest I'm really trying not to think about it too much. Just trying to get out for lots of walks and keep busy!

Eviepoo · 05/08/2011 18:47

Alice haha we talked about this a couple of pages ago, and called it the feel and faith flymo method....all I can say is I am glad DH has clippers that I can use.

Blue cheese and pate are on my list too.

I've been a bit pissed off today, dunno why. Especially as Jolene's ear was fixed today... That means the car has a new wing mirror after it was broken by vandals...in poo family speak.

I had a sneaky small glass of wine with tea tonight. After crying over over cooked potatoes....it felt needed.

Think I may have to take another bump picture....it's huge now

Re the sloe gin, it's summer I should have a nice tall glass full of ice with sloe gin n tonic in it. The bottle is sealed. Hubby been warned that if it is opened prior to me getting home from hospital, he will be stabbed. My aunt said that's fair and if he dares she will hold him down for me lol.

So disappointed I have no fringe tickets, I normally take the first week off work. Arm myself with a fringe book and £100 and see how many shows I can fit in, for that much, a mixture of family stuff and comedy/music for me n DH. First week is great as you can get loads of 2 for 1 tickets or first couple of days offer....

Might take DD to the comedy club 4 kids tomorrow. It's at tea time, it's different comedians every night (big names too but you don't know who it is in advance) and clean child friendly comedy. Best thing is it's only £6 a ticket and I've seen Adam Hills and Jason Byrne there.

alicedee · 05/08/2011 19:42

Eviepoo, I think I'll have to go back and check the feel and faith flymo method...I need a laugh.
I've been pissed off too, as DD has developed a real anger thing the last couple of weeks. I really don't need it at the mo. Obviously she's going through a lot right now, being 4, about to get a sibling and start school is a lot to get her head around. Still, I'm getting really sick of being shouted at, and when you're as hormonal as an end stage pregnant woman can get, it just makes me want to cry.
Ho-hum.....

rooks14 · 05/08/2011 19:50

I'm so fed up of being overdue but compared to the stories i've read on here i've had the easiest pregnancy ever!
I still haven't developed a 'waddle'... More just bored since I didnt plan anything thinking there was going to be a baby to look after!

Oooh everyone has anniversary's/birthdays in august :D do NOT want to spend my birthday in labour!!!

Eviepoo · 06/08/2011 05:55

think I am going insane, was convinced stuff was starting last night, was shattered so went to bed, slept maybe two hours and I have tossed and turned all night since. So I've given up and I'm now sitting with tea and toast....might try and sleep some more later.

VeronaH · 06/08/2011 10:33

Eviepoo,i am exactly like you keep thinking this is not and still nothing, am exhasuted just giving up now and am hoping when its the real deal i will know about it!!

just wondering as i didnt have my first baby here, after the birth are the hospitals usually good with pain relief etc for mums?? when i had my first i was given solpadol for pain and some sort of other drug they put in your bum, cant remember whats its called but it was great. was reading the thread on 2nd babies and if they come faster and wasier, i am praying for that, wish it was over now feel more nervous this time round but it might be down to the fact i am not used to the NHS system here so bit scared of the care i will get but fingers crossed it will be ok.

theonlyhb2 · 06/08/2011 11:18

i am so fed up of still being ill! Its not making this anymore fun. I keep having nose bleeds and weeing myself from coughing so much and am sure i have cracked a rib. Baby is 3/5 engaged now though but god knows what that means in terms of it coming out.

I am just sitting here crying cos i feel so rough.

I did eat brie yesterday though. It was melted so not that bad. I also ate sushi for the first time since pregnant

alicedee · 06/08/2011 14:59

theonlyhb2- you poor thing. I really feel for you. I'm also recovering from a chest infection. Did you get any antibiotics? I don't normally, but couldn't stand the idea of it dragging on. Everytime I coughed I got intense Bh contractions and peed myself too. Bloody awful.
It's weird, coz I've spoken to many friends who said they also had chest infections at the end of their pregnancies. What's that all about?
I wondered if it was heartburn that caused it. Like an acid burn in the chest that allowed a bug in there???
Anyway, I hope you feel better soon. Yum Brie...........

Eviepoo- I know exactly what you mean, Last night felt like stuff was going on.Today, I am mostly mildly contracting, with very unconvincing period pains and a total lack of sleep. The people next door also have builders in sounding like they're coming through the wall..........
AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGHHH!!!

Pashazade · 06/08/2011 15:05

Oh dear ladies no fun at all. Hope you all get a bit more sleep tonight, my lack of sleep last night was my own fault. In a moment of weakness I left the door open downstairs which allows our cats upstairs. So Ribena otherwise known as he of the pneumatic purr spent a large proportion of the night on our bed. DH sleeps right through it, me not so much, oh and then he sits on my pillow from 5am onwards which he believes is the appropriate time for breakfast!!!

Eviepoo · 06/08/2011 18:11

poop theonlyhb I hope your medicine kicks in soon

I'm having mild contractions again so put on TENS - dunno if I need it though.

the only think I can stomach is toast today - so DH making me some now then I may convince him to go a walk with me - it's pouring down though

rooks14 · 06/08/2011 19:33

alicedee god i'd do anything for even some mild contractions! lol getting frustrated now 3 days late, he's going to get a serious grounding when he decides to make his entrance!!!!

Eviepoo, a walk sounds like a good idea. Even DP's mum has suggested sex to bring on labour, followed by the most awkward few minutes of my life. haha.
I know sickness if horrible but it could be a sign of labour which is always good :D

Pashazade I miss my cats :( moved out of my mums a year ago where there was four and now my house is so empty! would love to be woken up, 5am pillow sitting it common practice when waiting for breakfast!!!

Was so exhausted I finally got an average nights sleep last night, was so amazing!!!

theonlyhb2 · 06/08/2011 22:00

it's like your just waiting around for yr life to change. OH is getting impatient he doesn't know what to do with himself

best friend came over today and cheered me up. She 22 weeks and suddenly has a bump! I swear it sticks out more than mine. It does make me happy she will get fatter than me (neither of us are large but she always has an amazing flat belly whilst i always have a little pot belly). She loves being pregnant, been trying for years so enjoying everything about it (apart from constant spotting/bleeding since day 1). Whereas i HATE everything about it as i HATE turned into someone else.

At least i feel a little better now. Been on steroids since ending up in a&e Sunday, antibiotics since Wednesday. I haven't cried so much since was at the height of my HG. This week i would have preferred puking to coughing.

Watched film 4 all day today in bed. Really fancy a McD strawberry shake but avoiding dairy as makes asthma worse. Grrr

Eviepoo · 07/08/2011 11:38

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Mumsnet just ate everything I just typed

rooks14 · 07/08/2011 11:54

Eviepoo I don't know whats more annoying MN swallowing what you type or the fact you led me to believe you might be on your way to a baby with that first line lol

Eviepoo · 07/08/2011 11:58

My daily update. Re-typed

After having mild contractios for hours - and having the most horrific wind ever I was so shattered I actually had a fairly decent sleep for me.

I swear tha this last week has been latent labour. I am sure the top of my bump (and the bum that so kindly wriggles at me at the very top is a good indicator) is a good inch lower, even DH thinks so.
I still wasn't up for getting up and showered and ready for a 9.30 service so DH went to church himself. Aparently he got a barage of questions about if I'd had baby, was I okay etc etc.

However I have decided to give up timing my contractions, and when it hurts liek hell just grab my bag and DH and go. I have also given up hope of it being anytime soon. Tomorrow afternoon I have a full schedule of trace, scan, diabetes registrar appointment and Obstetrician appointment. Was hoping to avoid this by having dragon before then, but it seems likely I am spending the day at the RIE.
Oh and I need to pee every 30 minutes or so now, except when I lie down I can go a coupld of hours between pees then, that is way a sign of dragon being in a different position as it used to be the other way round.

DD is being a stroppy teenager this weekend. We just keep sending her to the hell hole pit that is her room. My mum, sister and us are clubbing together to get her a laptop for high school (she starts on the 22nd) but the condition is that her room has to be spotless before we go get it. - You can't actually see the desk there is so much crap on it - so until it's cleared we are not going laptop shopping. To try and push her along more - my mum had put an 'expiry date' on her cheque.
TBH I think I will have to physically sit in the room for her to actually do any proper cleaning. It's really starting to bug me. (As I have already removed 3 bags of old ill fitting clothes and 2 bags of rubbish from her room when she was away at Grans house)

Talking of cleaning DH has now gone on a cleaning rampage upstairs - and I mean rampage, how do you make that much noise cleaning? I may have to stay out of his way.

Laundry jobs for me today

Then I may set up the baby monitor upstairs

Theonlyhb glad you are starting to feel better...it's maybe a good thing baby waited til you were better before showing up.

Alicedee VeronaH - I think the three of us should give up - then these silly annoying mild contractions might actually come to something!

rooks I did not have any of this mild contraction malarky with DD - and I was booked in for induction, must have scared her because 3 days before induction was due labour started! So maybe it's worth booking your induction date. When is your next appointment?

Eviepoo · 07/08/2011 11:59

Sorry rooks nothing here still :(

hayesgirl · 07/08/2011 12:35

Well last night the mild period cramps got a lot stronger with aching in my hips and knees (like when I am having a bad month) but also some pain in lower back which I never normally get. Another terrible nights sleep! Bath worked easing the cramps and I've not really had any since 9am. Had really sharp pains last night really low down and felt like they were coming from the middle of my lady bits! Still getting those today but not as much as last night.

However I have been throwing up all morning despite the fact I feel fine! Not sure what that's all about!

Baby is much quieter last 2 days and Bump definitely appears to have gotten a little lower!

Officially got 1 week to go but hoping the above is positive and he may come on time...?

Pashazade · 07/08/2011 14:50

Bored...........................................................

Eviepoo · 07/08/2011 15:41

VeronaH · 07/08/2011 18:42

ok was up all night, contractions about 15mins apart this carried on til about 11 this morning was totally exhausted. then started getting shooting pains in the vag area!! great even more uncomfortable, keep thinking i am going to have a heart attack, had bad palpations the other day so mentioned it to mw and she said if it happens again to ring delivery suite!! shitting myself now about that.

at 2am last night i really thought it would be all over by now HAHA no such luck.
agree with Eviepoo, giving up timing things and just hoping my waters will break like the last time and then i will defo know.

hope you ladies are feeling bit better this evening. lets hope we all get a good sleep :)

alicedee · 07/08/2011 19:54

No internet today. Boo. Had to check you ladies by phone. So just a quickie. Same for me with the contractions last night and shooting pains in cervix. Feel sick. Had long latent phase with dd, so recognise all this. Good luck everyone. Hope my net is working tomorrow...
