hairy I'm sending stick thoughts too.

I'm also really worried because I've got no swollen BiscuitBiscuit and that's the only symptom I had last time. But the ClearBlue went up from 1-2 to 2-3 this morning so I'm hoping that it means there is something going on. It's really hard given that there's nothing you can really see on a scan at this stage, but as everyone on the conception thread keeps telling me, there are a variety of symptoms that may appear and disappear with regularity at this stage as it is really to early for symptoms to have settled in, so don't worry too much. (Easier to advise than do!).

hairyfairylights · 29/01/2011 09:38

Thanks. I have no swollen Biscuit Biscuit either, sicky feeling gone, need to wee all the time gone :( I know it's only five weeks but it's so horrid worrying. I'd also had some of those stretching feelings but they've stooped too

That was my first attempt to update the list, which I'm a bit Blush to admit as I have been on it for so long, but thought I'd give it a go. I'm sorry if I've got it wrong and also wasn't sure about all the new arrivals on the thread so thought I'd leave it up to you to add yourselves. Welcome Dachs and Hairy, congratulations- and anyone else newly arrived that I have forgotten. Hairy I remember you from the TTC thread, we were both on it together for a bit. So happy to see you here, I've got my fx for you- for all of you. I was a total basketcase in the first few months, I couldn't even bring myself to post on here because I was too afraid of things going wrong. It is so hard but you will get through it, albeit with boob prodding and knicker checking aplenty! Dachs, the fact that the ClearBlue has gone up is a really good sign. Don't worry about symptoms, it's still really early. Plenty of time for painful norks and getting well acquainted with the u-bend.
More cramps/ braxton hicks last night but again it has come to nought. Still. do you think this is a good sign of things moving along? Baby is still very active, started to get worried last night as they were performing acrobatics all evening. Shouldn't they be resting in preparation for the big event? Or at least directing their energies downwards. Is it normal for babies to be so active at this stage? I know I would worry if they were quiet so I can't really win but someone reassure me please! I'm no good at this waiting malarkey- I've never been a patient person...

hairyfairylights · 29/01/2011 11:42

Waves frantically at dorcas . thanks :)

crochetcircle · 29/01/2011 12:10

Ooh welcome hairy and dachs - just a quick post about norks. Mine were sore or tender from 12dpo in my first pregnancy which ended in mc at 11 weeks. Naturally I was waiting for the same symptoms with my second, but my boobs honestly didn't get sore til 7+5 with this pregnancy. I remember the date as it was the evening of my scan and my boobs went sore and hard from nothing that evening.

My boobs did get sore from all the prodding I did at the start!

Really good luck. Hope this is reassuring. Preg 2 was very different to Preg 1.

Unbuffy · 29/01/2011 12:15

Popping in...

Fat people sff... hehehe, dh never had it so good as when we were a bit overdue... my excuse being it makes up for the dry spell he'll be having for a while yet!

Dorcas stay calm, you're not overdue for at least another week (on the continent they have 41 week pregnancies, doncha know). And don't worry about MiniD mvoing about, it's YOU that does the work, not Bambino! And as you say, you;d panic if it wasn't.

Waves to all, just a quicky reely! Nice to see that the postgrads thread is taking off well too... everyone welcome once day!

fx to recent joinees, and special hugs for JollyJolls and other lurkers Smile and see you over here VERY soon!

OrangeGloss · 29/01/2011 12:47

Could I ask a pg question? The last couple of days I've had twinges/aches and mild lower back ache, I'm kinda thinking/hoping it's things just stretching, does that sound right?

The mw made booking app today, and is going by my LMP not scan. Scan makes me 9 weeks, LMP makes me 10+3. So wondering when they'll book me in Hmm

hairyfairylights · 29/01/2011 13:15

crochet thanks so much for posting that.

During my first pregnancy my boobs were very sore from ovulation, and sore all the way up to my MMC.

but this time, nothing, not even around ovulation (rare for me, but perhaps the acupuncture helped).

I now have one very mildly sore Biscuit - am 5 plus 1 - and I felt a little bit sicky again today. I need to stop micro symptom spotting!

Muser · 29/01/2011 13:28

hairyfairy congratulations! Please don't obsess too much about symptoms - they aren't proof of anything. I didn't have any symptoms really until 7/8 weeks when the morning sickness kicked in. And from seeing other people this is not unusual. Normally what happens is major panicking around 5/6 weeks and then at 7/8 weeks it's "oh god, does anyone have any morning sickness cures".

Or you might just not have any symptoms, some people don't. Stay strong.

orangegloss odd pains, twinges and stretching sensations are also very normal. I had some that took my breath away. Everything is stretching out and bedding in, it's bound to get a bit sore at times.

hairyfairylights · 29/01/2011 13:32

Thanks Muser (good to see you). I'll try!

OrangeGloss · 29/01/2011 13:43

Thanks Muser it is the reassurance I needed Grin

owlbooty · 29/01/2011 14:50

Dachs and hairy - I'm now 13 weeks bang on and absolutely no expansion of norks whatsoever! They've been sore on and off but certainly not all the time despite repeated prodding :)

Ditto the stretchy feelings and the needing to wee a lot - I had weeks where there was pretty much nothing to report and then it'd start up again.

Contrastingly, with the mc I did have expanding norks from the word go and loads of stretchy feelings. I've had less symptoms with this attempt than I had with the mc. I've barely felt sick either.

Big hugs to you both, I know all too well how stressful this is. xxx

Hello all - urgh - I think I've hit the late pregnancy wall today. I realised there were only 2 pairs of trousers I wanted to wear and they are both in the wash, and then DH had to rescue me from a too tight jumper that I couldn't get off Blush
I've also not wanted to leave the house at all today. I'm feeling rather irritated that I'm not having baby brother on thursday anymore but have another week to go - WHAT WAS I THINKING?!
hairy when have you got a scan? I was also practically symptomless in early pg this time, but was horrendously sick with my MMC.
Big hugs to you - the waiting and not knowing what's going on it awful.
dorcas I agree, you'd think the baby would be nice and quiet during labour, but they still kick you! very rude...

Mamapower · 29/01/2011 16:54

Thanks muser it's great to know what to expect. Still got good symptoms so am hopeful all is going well!

Clare I'm still pinching myself I've even made it to the waiting list! Thanks lovely Smile

Hope you're all having a good weekend Grin

hairyfairylights · 29/01/2011 17:50

Just wanted to thank all of you re: symptoms. I feel so much less alone it's like having my hand virtually held. Thank you all :)

HappyGirl1 · 29/01/2011 18:52

hi unbuffy just wondering where the postgrads thread is?

hi to everyone else - lovely to see how great this thread is

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 29/01/2011 19:13

Hurrraaaaaay! for Hairy so lovely to see you here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Clare bless you lovely I know exactly how you feel with the clothes and I can imagine you mid jumper fight xxx I could do with a couple of hospital gowns to slob around the house in LOL because everything irritates the hell out of me! I bet the next week will fly, what about some cooking? Maybe a huge spag bol to freeze?

Orange I had loads of stretchy pains back and front at first but is just your body doing the RIGHT thing. dacsh in 4 pgs I've never had sore (.)(.) as an early symptom, even with double twin hormones. Any other ladies worrying about early symptoms I have read that some days you can be totally fine and other days you can feel like shit, please try not to worry I know easier said than done as every morning I felt sick etc I would have jumped for joy if I had of had the energy x

Hang in there Dorcas not long to go lady ;)

Good to hear feeding going well Toomuch :) x

In magic8fattyhugeginormoushowcanhisbumppossiblygetanybigger?land no more twinges and I slept so well last night Grin so felt good today cue nesting. Squirms and kicks are so uncomfortable due to lack of space/fluid.....they take my breath away or make me jump but then I end up laughing! Should get a date on Thurs and have had clear instructions on what to do "at the first cramp" today from lovely twins midwife, basically come in don't bugger around at home. Eeeeeeeeeeeek!

We had our last antenatal class today, a twin mummy came in with her 6mnth non id girls, very cute and very helpful but FUCK THERE WERE TWO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Big waves to anyone I have missed, my brain really is turning to mush Confused

Lotta123 · 29/01/2011 19:14

Clareanna I don't want to leave the house either. Glad I'm not the only one.

Welcome to all the new people. I remember how the first trimester went on and on so thinking of you all.

Xxx

clareanna · 29/01/2011 20:07

magic lol - you're a mind reader - large spag bol made this afternoon!!!!

CaribouMoo · 29/01/2011 20:23

Good Lord, I'm still reeling from the thought of having sex for the sake of it -- especially with a huge bump! Poor Mr Moo has been sadly neglected, I was too scared in the first trimester and now I think we've just fallen out of the habit. What a bunch of saucey minxes you all are!

Hairy great to see you here pal. You're so right, trying to scrutinise every tiny symptom, or non-symptomm is counter productive. With this baby I deliberately blocked out it was happening, to the best of my ability at least. I really found that helped, rather than obssessing. Easier said than done though!

nickstermum · 29/01/2011 20:23

Grin @ magic urm... yeah two....!! How many will you have under the age of ? when this pair come along? YIKES! Maybe you could borrow the ladies twin girls to give you a taster Grin

Or hire a nanny.... Grin

Scary but lovely to think you are all nearing the 40 week mark... FX for you clare for a fabulous birth x

Oh big hurray to see hairy here - I didn't know you were diffed, lovely, so what ace ace news :)

Just to add, I'm another one who says don't worry about symptoms or lack thereof. This is my 3rd pregnancy - 1st one mmc, 2nd one tx due to an abnormality and this one which seems to be going okay so far - and I haven't had any of the 'classic' symptoms with any of them. Seriously, nada. No sickness. No sore boobage. No constipation. Nothing. Interestingly, Gracie's abnormality meant that I had higher levels of hcg than in a typical pregnancy but I still didn't get any symptoms so I kind of think it's simply pot luck ... And therefore absolutely nothing to worry about. :)

Hey to everyone else x The heat here means I've developed cankles like nothing I've ever seen before. My feet are elephant-man-esque :( (8s - which means my diamond shoes really ARE too tight Grin )
