Mornin all from magiccrampypants been up since 3 with regularish contractions hosp have told me to wait but we have a shitty old drive in rush hour so am not leaving it long. Will keep you posted x

northerngoldilocks · 24/02/2011 06:51

Ooh exciting magic - fingers crossed for you

Lotta123 · 24/02/2011 06:56

Just letting you know that baby lotta123 arrived Monday morning. Managed labour on some gas and air. Avoided induction by 24 hours. Yay! DH was fantastic birth partner.

Baby (name tbc) is gorgeous and very cuddly.

Breastfeeding isn't going great but we're hanging in there despite those hideous day three hormones.

I've been a bit of a lurker on this thread and cannot begin to thank all you lovely ladies for the support and encouragement that got me through my pregnancy after a miscarriage. It's scary growing a baby when you've already experienced what can go wrong. You kept me sane. Thank you so much.

Am sending all of you positive pregnant thoughts and keeping my fingers firmly crossed for all of you, especially our brave Louisesh.

Ooooh magic.... exciting stuff! Go girl! Sod leaving it... you dont want to be popping them out stationary on a dual carriageway hard shoulder Grin i will be thinking of you..... bout time those babees made an entrance xx Best of luck xx (looks like lias prediction will be right :))

Yey well done velvet :)

Jollster...maybe its because its before 7am but what on earth is a felicitation?! [thick emoticon]
Hope you have had a lovely day and been spoilt rotten.

I too feeling very sad for bee shes been such a support for everyone and is such a nice lady.. so totally doesnt deserve this. :(

Tis my MC due date on monday and my friend is having her CSection. I've been fine about it, buried it away - having a new pregnancy to focus on does force you to not think about it (especially having had a couple of bleeds) - but yesterday afternoon something snapped. Ok today, just quite reflective and feeling very lucky to be pregnant again at nearly 17 weeks.

Anyway, onwards and upwards.... totally excited about hearing from Magic..... i hope everything goes swimmingly and they pop out very easily Grin

Any news from lotta?

nickstermum · 24/02/2011 07:00

aaah crossed posts Lotta Congratulations on the birth of your new baby... so happy to hear of an easy delivery and that you avoided induction. WELL DONE and hooge congratulations xxxxxx

loopy agree.. i am ecstatic to be pregnant. I am also sad that next week i really should have been giving birth. But then had i not lost that pregnancy, this one would never have happened.. and i have to think like that Tis definately mind boggling stuff! Thankyou x 30 weeks... you too.. 3/4 of the way there and its the home straight X

PenguinsMummy · 24/02/2011 08:03

Congratulations Lotta and FX for Magic - the spiderbabies sound like they are on their way - woohoo!!

littlemiss72 · 24/02/2011 08:27

Congrats Lotta wonderful news! FX for Magic sounds like today is the day Grin Yay!!

All good with me and little ted, dancing around inside bless. Hope you all keeping well ladies & bumps x

appleblossoms · 24/02/2011 08:31

Oooh! an exciting morning!

Congratulations lotta!! Such lovely news. Glad it's going well, despite the feeding...and hopefully that'll improve. Hope you're getting support and encouragement. Enjoy all those newborn snuggles!! Grin

and Magic!!! woohoo!! Hopefully you're safely on your way to the hospital now. I really hope you have a nice straightforward birth....or as straightforward as birthing TWO whole babies can be. eek! excited for you lovely.

nicks my EDD for my mmc was also at about 16 weeks. It's good that you've recognised it...I found myself really weepy and didn't but two and two together. I thought I'd 'dealt' with my feelings of loss and felt guilty for feeling sad when I could feel this baby wriggling. Tis all very hard.((hugs))

Lovely to see you popping in velvet, look forward to seeing you more and more Grin ...oooh, can't wait for all the TTC BFP's to make their way over... although am a little concerned I won't be able to keep up anymore as they're all lovely chattermonsters! Grin Grin

I had a lovely chat with the MW yesterday, heard baby's heart beating away..such a lovely sound. She doesn't know what caused my funny turn the other day, but said if it happens again go and get checked out. She also prescribed 'Green & Blacks' chocolate to stop me being so tired Wink Bump is measuring ever so slightly bigger than average (a week ahead) but said that's nothing to worry about at this stage...and she only mentioned it because I said I felt my bump was huuuuuuuuuuge.

Can't believe I'm 24 weeks now, feel like I've reached a milestone.... baby now stands a chance on its own, so feel like I can maybe relax a little. Obviously I hope nothing happens for another 13 weeks at least, but it's kind of reassuring to know that the hospital would now fight for my baby if things did go wrong. Does that make sense?

Looking forward to hearing news later... lia you should do more predictions! they seem spot on! Grin

littlemiss72 · 24/02/2011 08:38

You do realise Apple every time a little buba is born we move up the list Shock freaked me out this morning.. ha!

Good to hear you feeling a little more relaxed, totally with you on that one. As every week passes and the little flutters inside get stronger I feel more hopeful.

appleblossoms · 24/02/2011 09:06

I agree littlemiss...we are moving up quite quickly Confused!!

clareanna · 24/02/2011 09:35

Huge congratulations lotta!!! Wonderful news! Good luck with the breastfeeding- it is tough to start with, just do what feels right for you and baby. Hope to see you in postgrads very soon!

magic hope this is it- go spiders go!! Am so excited for you!!!

nicks I think that only people who have been through mc understand why you'd still feel sad even though you're pg again. If it's any help I found the run up to my due date far worse than the actual day itself. Big hug coming your way x

velvet lovely to see you coming to check out the facilities- we're due a freshers week from the freak out room soon I hope?!

randomimposter · 24/02/2011 09:46

Big congrats Lotta - lovely news. Looking forward to more details Grin.

Niks - just a Blackaddery style Congratulations really... wibble wibble.

lia66 · 24/02/2011 09:57

Ooh, how exciting a baby and a labour..

lotto well done you, you clever girl. Keep at it with the bf, it's tough in the early days. If you need to chat my email is

l c t w a l t e r s at sky dot com

Spider babies come on, you've kept your mum waiting long enough. magic i wish you a comfy trip to the hospital and a smooth labour, can't wait to hear your news.

jolls sadly I think my prediction was a one off, usually I even get the sexes of my own babies wrong, dh is normally the one to ask. Give us a nip of what you've got in that flask though eh? :)

Going to local farm today after my poor ds gets his braces fitted, he had the little retainer things the other day which have been really uncomfortable so am hoping the real braces will be a bit more tolerable,

CaribouMoo · 24/02/2011 09:58

lotta that lovely news about the arrrival of your wee one. It sounds like you are both doing very well, congratulations!

Go 8s go!! Come on spiderbabies. Can't believe you got it right Lia, you do realise we'll all look to you for predictions now!

Hi Velvet, good on you for popping over - i know its a big step and is scary at first. Lets hope to see more of you from the freak out room soon.

Nicks hope you're ok pal. Being pregnant again undoubtedly makes it easier but its only natural to grieve for your lost baby again. My due date for my 2nd MMC is on the 6th March and has been on my mind too. Just take care and do what you need to do x

Hi Clare, are you still having a babymoon? How is your recovery doing after the section? What does DS make of baby brother now he is here? x

Apples good to hear all is well with you and you're feeling reassured. Its always good to get to the next milestone but I agree with Littleimiss about the list. We'll all move up a slot soon as well with Magic's news!

VivClicquot · 24/02/2011 10:16

Oooh what a lovely lovely day for news - it feels like spring has sprung too with the warmth and sunshine outside, so good times all round.

lotta - congratulations on your new arrival. Looking forward to hearing more about him or her over the coming days.

Am on tenterhooks re. magic - it's so exciting! (And slightly frightening to see ourselves move two places up the list!)

Also - I like to think I am joining lia on the Mystic Meg front with my preamble to yesterday's list! Wink

nicks - hope you're doing okay and are managing to stay positive. Like clareanna says, I think I found the anticipation of the due date harder than the day itself. While I wasn't pg for either of my due dates (which in itself was heartbreakingly hard), I now find myself in a position where I could end up having this baby on what would have been Gracie's first birthday. Am kind of hoping it doesn't work out that way to be honest, as I'd like to keep that day as Gracie's special day - but either way, I have to remember that if I hadn't gone through those two losses, I wouldn't be having the baby I am having, and I'm sure when he or she is here, I know I wouldn't change that for the world. xx

apples - My bump too is measuring a week ahead of dates, but has consistently stayed one week ahead at the various measurings, so at least I know it's a gradual and uniform growth, which is better than having a sudden spike IYSWIM.

Anyway, kisses to all. I'm off to help jolls put up some bunting Grin

xx

Now where's that bunting... xx

lucysnowe · 24/02/2011 11:59

Hi all and congrats to lotta.

Scan was all good Grin. I told the sonographer about my last MMC and she was v. nice and made the scan pretty long - even getting me to shake around a bit to wake up ltn and see it jogging around. I don't feel quite ready to join the list yet but am very pleased and exciting to have passed the first stage. Thanks all, very much, for your support, it's been soo helpful. Smile

louisesh · 24/02/2011 14:34

Congrats Lotta enjoy XXXXX

Thanks for your kind wishes.

clareanna · 24/02/2011 15:15

Its all gone very quiet from magic eek so exciting- budge up jolls I'll stay up with you- sleep is for wimps!!

Am currently shellshocked in Starbucks- first "big" outing. We've walked into town to take ds1 on the big wheel. I am waiting for them with baby brother, bit scared I may have to do first public feed... Sleep baby sleep!
Mastitis nearly all cleared up and tummy muscles feeling good. Recovery from a c section is intense, but every day you feel a little bit better and in a little bit less pain. Two weeks on and im amazed at hiw well i feel, definitely easier than recovery from 3rd degree tear and episiotomy- at least i can sit down!! anaemia is still an issue- got another 2 months worth of tablets the other day. Am also developing a worrying looking apron though! Ds1 likes baby brother and has been absolutely fine so far- I thought he'd be more jealous, but apart from some tears about going to nursery he's been fine. Am lucky to have dh at home so have loads of help -The bright side to redundancy!!!

Lucy huge congrats on your scan! I was exactly the same, couldn't really feel excited about the pg for ages and didn't tell people until 22 weeks... But be positive, the signs are looking good- this ones a sticky bean!

Arm punch to viv

apples if only they did prescribe green & blacks rather than the iron tablets I'm on...

Lotta congrats! :)

Clare good to hear you're on the road to recovery, and hopefully not spoiling your enjoyment - as if anything could!

Lucy glad you had a good scan and understanding sonograher. Do you mind me asking your dates?

I have a private scan booked for next Friday as I measured behind at my 12 weeker, and thought one at around 14 might take the edge off the 16 week wait. Hope I've done the right thing Confused

Ladybee · 24/02/2011 16:35

Hi all - today was supposed to be the day I bravely put myself back on the list, after having an 11 week scan to confirm all on course. Sadly it hasn't worked out like that, and I'm back trying to organise another ERPC and get my head around the fact that I'm not having a baby this year, after all. Sad
I'm still going to lurk and watch you lovely ladies move up the list. My due date from the last one was last week, and now that muser and clareanna have had their little ones, it feels a little less like I'm watching the gap where I should have been move up. Caribou I know your date is coming up too and I hope it passes without too much upset. Thanks for your message.
magic I can still remember how excited I was when you found out about the double diffedness, it just doesn't seem long enough ago Shock - I hope you're going to meet them shortly and that it all goes as smoothly as possible.
jolls I cried as I bought some brie today but thought to myself 'I'm bloody well going to enjoy this, and will offer jolls a piece too'

Some of you may know that DH and I are relocating to NZ in a few months, we're going home to our families
as DH has been offered a great job there. I'm looking forward to the move - more so now that I know I'm not going to be 20 wks on the longest longhaul flight imaginable, and we'll probably take a break from all of this until we're established in our new home. Good luck ladies! - bee x
