If you see me here tomorrow tell me to get lost and get on with my assignment!

Forgot to say..O now trying to copy words we say and distinctly said "where daddy" today . He also distinctly said "shit" although we did not say that and neither did we prompt him to say it!!

Thanks for the thread. Dd2 is convinced that Winnie the Pooh is called 'stinky bear' but she is a bit obsessed after our first successful day of potty training.

Lots of garden centre fun today, and a planting session this evening was lovely.

DD1 is being a bit of a pickle, but we'll battle through that I suppose.

If anyone needs anything proofreading in any shape or form, do let me know. I'll be delighted to help.

For now, I need my bed I think.
Goodnight.

Try to rest Oops .

GladioliBuckets · 26/05/2010 23:18

Good luck Oops, hope everything goes your way.

For Dizzy and everyone else to help you all relax and enjoy the summer: The Idle Parent I will be back Tuesday to resume my duties as consultant idler should anyone need any help putting themselves first.

RedLentil · 26/05/2010 23:19

Dizzy, I came across this today which is imho a very strained attempt to meld cake-making with lifestyle blog and cultural commentary. Anyhow, just looking at how the pics, recipes and chat fit together might be helpful.

It might be an idea to sketch out who you imagine your readers to be so that you have people to 'talk to' as you write.

You write fabulously here and aren't short of admirers who have never met you in person (more's the pity), so you're just putting those skills to use in a different venue.

I'd like to stay up late and drink whisky tonight. Not sure why ...

RedLentil · 26/05/2010 23:23

Have a wonderful time, Buckets.

TwilightSurfer · 27/05/2010 02:42

Very nice new thread Captain. Thank you for fitting us into your very busy schedule. I will gladly redirect you if I see you here tomorrow.

Red whiskey? What's that about? Should I bring a deck of cards and a few stogies tomorrow?

DH took DD1 fishing this evening. I took Reese swimming. We all have a lovely evening. I then thoroughly cleaned the house. ILs arrive tomorrow. FIL phoned (dh's cell) tonight. Said MIL got the directions I emailed (without them asking for them) and then said, "it should only take about an hour and a half from , right?" NO. I reply. It's 3 hours with one quick potty break. He said, "but it only takes an hour from my home town to ." And I reply, "that may be true but it is THREE HOURS to here." This is going to be a LLOONNGG two days, isn't it.

I keep remembering something AFTER I close my laptop... I can't remember it NOW!! CRAP! I hate when that happens!!

On another note, DH and I discussed OUR BOOK, the one about us, the hairy truckers. He suggested we each write a chapter then have one person put it all together and maybe expand on it from that point. Consider how big it would be if we each came up with 10 pages OR even 20 pages. WOW! We could consider a screen play even. Can you imagine us on the big screen? Who would play you?? I think I would have Elizabeth Shue play me.

Off to facebook before bed. Night!

dizzydixies · 27/05/2010 04:51

Hectorina is here!!!!!!!! Born at 3.10am! I have a photo on my phone which I have been trying to sniff, didn't work but am pleased to say she is perfect

no name/weight as yet

well done to the Oopsies, congratulations to Poppy on being a big sister - and C, you've made me very proud

springaporesling · 27/05/2010 05:29

Sorry catching up a bit - well done CC (on new thread title and also number of words) the server just went down (it always does at this time in the morning for MN to do essential maintenance work) and was on tenterhooks to see if there was any news about Oops.

Lol TS we just need VG to come up with a title now and we're away!

Dizzy liking all the blog ideas too.

FHLF what does DH do will it be easy for him to find FT work? I am very broody at the moment which isn't helped by pretty much all my Mum's group friends being pg at the moment. I think AF is late but I took a test last week that was decidedly negative plus it would have been a pretty immaculate conception as DS still waking really early and DH working late quite a bit so not much action I'm afraid to say.

Buckets have a fab time.

Red well done on the potty training am getting scared by even the thought of it - don't know why - it's not like we can't let DS run round naked as it's too cold or anything and have very easily wipeable floors!

springaporesling · 27/05/2010 05:31

Oops congratulations - Dizzy completely missed your post but thanks for letting us know!

hotterpotter · 27/05/2010 06:42
