Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
CrispyTheCrisp · 17/06/2010 22:02

They could put the three of them up too. Perfect

DH reckons using outlook and synching it is better than google. Please don't ask me why though

dizzydixies · 17/06/2010 22:05

Oops - its a whole new blot on blogspot rather than wordpress which was a tad above me Red is giving it the once twice, thrice, etc over before I start linking it for you all

have lost all your lovely comments on the old blog though because I can't bring them over

clever E feeding that many times and the cakes sound delicious! Any advice on recipes/pricing gratefully received as you are the expert

pertelote · 17/06/2010 23:03

Quick hullo - was away overnight, haven't caught up properly, sorry. Was the first time I've been away in two years, DH and DD seem to have survived though Definitely out of the loop professionally though, bit and and very bad at networking over/after dinner which is what I really should have been doing to catch up.

Brilliant news on the job front Buckets! Sounds perfect.

We have google calendars too, v useful as I can see home from work and vice versa IYSWIM and spy on keep track of DH too.

Oops I am still very impressed with the baking. So sorry you have this worry about a possible anaesthetic, others gave you good advice I think so just wanted to send .

What else? Oh to Miamla too, looking forward to seeing you next week.

And DD is a total chatterbox but you probably gathered that. Most of her conversation is recounting the plots of books though. And rather oddly her current fave is Tintin: le crabe aux pinces d'or, or 'Tintin, fwench - dere is a CAMEL!' as she calls it. Not yet noticably bilingual despite the best attempts of the ILs Was it VG said about the your/mine confusion? We have that... and shouting 'man!' at random strangers. And the other day she looked out of the window and shouted 'black man!' and [mortification] and I have NO IDEA where she has heard that or how to persuade her not to yell it at someone on the tube

GladioliBuckets · 17/06/2010 23:08

Nice one on your proposal Cece, will that mean less stress day-to-day eventually?

Sazz I think my Carer's Allowance gives me NI credits and I have to keep earnings under £100pw to keep the CA so doubt v much I'll be paying tax. Oh that crazy boy of mine brings me more than just laughs. (He carried home a huge masking taped cardboard box from school today that was to 'fight gas giant floaters and look Mum there's a pencil holder on the side.'but)

Does anyone else find PMT gives them insomnia? Doesn't help DH still being out - can never sleep til he's home anyway. Waffle waffle waffle.

oopsandbabycoconut · 17/06/2010 23:13

Hi Pert - DD1 has started very oddly with a few french phrases from a Peppa Pig book we have. I wasn't expecting a bonjour Mummy this morning - she also knows what they mean which is a little scary she seems to be absorbing things from nowhere. So I have started singing Frere Jacques which is has picke up the tune and a few words but is getting more fluent daily! I just wish I spoke french so I could keep her going. She is blatently ignoring my afrikaans at the moment and will only answer in English!

GladioliBuckets · 17/06/2010 23:21

My big two taught Kurt to say bum the other day. Cue much ROFLing a la Peppa's family.

pertelote · 17/06/2010 23:22

Oh bless her Oops. It is random, isn't it. DD definitely understands French, but like you say, answers in English. But then DH doesn't speak French to her so we are not making a proper effort really. Have been told it's all French all day when we go on hols with the ILs in July though so maybe that will get her started!

TwilightSurfer · 17/06/2010 23:47

Captain honestly I had no doubt you would pass. Good Job!

Very embarrassed my child only speaks English and Re-Re. She's doing very well with both although I'm no good at talking Re-Re, only understanding it. I've been crap with reading to her too. By this age I'd already read all of Beatrix Potter a million times over to DD1. However, she doesn't seem to be falling behind in the cuddles department and is very well adjusted with all her caregivers.

Buckets how did our cycles split? PMT makes me very restless so understand completely.

hotterpotter · 18/06/2010 07:41

Oh TS don't I'm sure most of us with more than one have put a bit less effort into raising our Aug 08 babies, after all, that's what bigger siblings are for DS gets way fewer stories than DD did, but he does have someone to play with most of the time instead.

Eek my director's here so better look busy...

MrsMiamla · 18/06/2010 08:35

morning all, been up since 5.30 i knew our run of 7.15 was too good to be true
dh's birthday today so he's taken the day off and i'm graciously letting him have a lie-in whilst i finish off painting a tshirt for him before cooking him a nice breakfast

anyone else for scrambled egg, bacon and toast?

hots didn't realise you were an actress

dizzydixies · 18/06/2010 10:15

well just heard my aunts going to Islay this week so very definately not coming here to let us go to Belfast - at least I had myself geared up for it.

I've no doubt they've just forgotten but still and now getting fecking that they haven't bothered their arses phoning me at all.

MrsMiamla · 18/06/2010 10:55

dizz please try not to let them get to you, they're not worth it

hotterpotter · 18/06/2010 10:55

Oh Dizzy some of your family are idiots . I'm slightly too young to be an honorary aunt but would happily take on the position of honorary cousin with motherly tendencies if you like

Luckily got out of sitting in on the senior management team meeting because I'm not trustworthy enough too busy, phew, so can sped the day pottering at my desk, chatting on phone to my lovely colleague and eating biscuits apples

Hope DH's tshirt is appreciated miamla and Happy Birthday to him!

MrsMiamla · 18/06/2010 11:03

Did you miss or not understand my actress comment hots?

He did like his tshirt and especially likes his new weber bbq (thanks oops )

well done for getting out of the meeting!

hotterpotter · 18/06/2010 11:09

Sorry yes, I am v good actress at pretending to be busy/clever at work

MrsMiamla · 18/06/2010 11:15

no no no... its because your director is there the moment's passed about four weeks ago!

hotterpotter · 18/06/2010 11:20

Miamla I am not that daft, of course I knew what you meant!

MrsMiamla · 18/06/2010 11:30

yeah yeah yeah, i believe you!
