Afternoon all

miamla i meant to say too that the food was ACE at the wedding. as oops said - so unlike other wedding food. I have to say that sat at a table with 2 heavily preggers ladies (oops and your friend who i can't remember her name but minipert flirted with her dh a lot ) - it was very amusing when we worked out why they had signs announcing that they were pregnant. none of us knew that clotted cream was an ishoo. you learn something every day.

dd is in the garden having a teddy bear@s picnic, ds is in bed and i am (was/will be again) reading Breaking Dawn before heading into London later to see a film with a friend.

and i have lost my first stone now!!! woohoo.

Miamla · 10/04/2010 15:41

i know, some of pg girls were getting a bit worried about being labelled! i had no idea about clotted cream either before the venue told me i wasn't allowed any!

well done on losing a stone. i keep meaning to get on scales to see if my weight gain is keeping up with your loss!

oh ts, hope you managed to get to pilates. can dh take over tonight to give you a break?

well done to minicc! oops, yeah, we had dinner there as well.ds didn't eat much though. what room were you in? freaky if we had same one!

TwilightSurfer · 10/04/2010 19:26

ALBS that is excellent news.

Miamla DH is present. Not sure he's up for the night shift but I might need to push the envelope because I really feel loopy.

Cousin had her baby early this morning. It's a BOY!!! 7lb 9oz named Liam. This is their third (ds1 4, dd1 2).

Testing another sunscreen today. It's a boring job but somebody's got to do it.

Aww, congrats to your cousin TS. Does that make you a second auntie? Never been too good with the outer relations

On a more serious note, I think you need to fully abdicate responsibility to your other half for at least one night. Even you are not invincible, and you need a break

Had a lovely day today - went into town en famille and met up with a friend to go to a vintage fair. I bought a dress that is like an acid flashback in sack form

GreenGardenia · 10/04/2010 20:14

Congratulations on baby news TS!

wotcher cyteen loving the sound of the acid sack!

A v. quick message follows from ds1, I know this is slightly frowned on but it's a quiet night on the thread and he is keen.

GreenGardenia · 10/04/2010 20:16

Alert what follows is dictated by GardeniaBoy:

Happy long relationship forever to Miamla

I have to go back to Harry Potter

TwilightSurfer · 10/04/2010 20:16

ROFL "acid flashback in sack form."

I need to run to the grocery store then I can crash (hopefully). I've spent the afternoon wandering around outside trying to keep the outside cat, outside, and the inside cat, inside. They both have the "grass is greener over there" complex.

Cyteen I'm not sure if I get a title really. We're pretty close families though. As a matter of fact the baby mama would fit quite nicely among us if she mn'ed.

Yes well as you can see that was worth explaining in advance, apologising for, and ending my own post early

HP and the Order of the thing is on tv and we are supposed to be eating jelly snakes and watching it, so he came to dig me out of here (I slipped away during ad break). I'm afraid you lot can't compete with HP in his eyes

cyteen · 10/04/2010 20:19

Gardenia I was wondering last night why it was so quiet on our thread, then I remembered that dizzy and Sazz are able to talk face to face right now

TS with cats, twas ever thus.

GreenGardenia · 10/04/2010 20:19

I have to go back to Harry Potter now.

I've only seen it about 17 times so perhaps there will be one line of the script / one confused look from Harry / one meaningful glance from Hermione / one awkward swallow by Ron that I don't know by heart.

GreenGardenia · 10/04/2010 20:20

ds1 wants to know if you are "yo", cyteen. Pleased with his wave.

I told him you were.

GreenGardenia · 10/04/2010 20:22

I know! Harrumph, I was certain they would be dual-MN-ing but they are CLEARLY swigging wine and painting their toenails and setting Glos alight while we pick our teeth and watch children's films. Have they NO regard for other people's wellbeing???

oopsandbabycoconut · 10/04/2010 20:26

If Sazz and Dizz had been here we would have been on a new thread days ago! Dizzy definitely picked the right time to come down south though - lovely and sunny and dry ATM.

GreenGardenia · 10/04/2010 20:33

ds1 accepts the coconut's offer of jelly babies as all the jelly snakes are GON as ds2 exclaims.

Miamla · 10/04/2010 20:40

ah, can you thank your lovely DS1 for his kind message. Tell him also that I can't wait to meet him when we finally manage a visit to your green lands

hmm, wondering if I can find any sweets that DH hasn't munched, might have a few Percy Pigs left if he's interested in them!

GreenGardenia · 10/04/2010 21:12

Ooh he loves PPs. Did you know you can now get Reversy Percy pigs where the jelly bits and the foamy bits are the other way round...?

TwilightSurfer · 10/04/2010 21:45
