Hi girls, thought the old thread was in need of a spring clean, plus, I'm sure if my memory serves me right, one of us had our May-due baby in March (Macoco???) so someone is 2 soon....!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
shonnomanom · 14/04/2011 18:04

Major tumbled weed moment happening on this thread now!
We must all be really busy with the impending 3rd birthdays on the fast approach.
Really no idea what to get dd this year. We want to get her something for the garden but we dont know(and doubt) that our garden will be a garden by then. Our neighbours are really dragging their heels on restoring our garden after using it for access to build their conservatory last Spring. We were promised it back for last April...Hmm

Hope your all well

Willabywallaby · 24/04/2011 12:54

Happy Easter FMLs!!

On the beach in April in my bikini, not venturing in the water though Grin

shonnomanom · 02/05/2011 11:47

Wow major rolling haybales on here now!

Anyway, to those lurking, Happy Easter & Happy Many Bank Holidays!

On a slightly different note...

(She whispers) 'im pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!!!'

Its Very early but we reckon Im due at the end of the year, gonna try my bestest to avoid HoHoHo season Smile
You can understand why we'r not speaking about it outside of the house so I would appreciate no FB talk on the subject just yet.

Multiple children mummies, did your waist grow this fast after your first? Even with having lost over a stone on WW im finding some trousers/jeans abit tight already! Shock

Sho [cgrin]

Willabywallaby · 03/05/2011 12:20

Congratulations Sho my waistline expanded quickly with both pregnancies.

Mitchell81 · 03/05/2011 16:39

Sho a huge congratulations, I am so pleased for you that is wonderful news. Will try post more regularly to try keep this thread going as it has gone so quiet. Lent is over soi wonder where lucky is? Lucky if you reading please come back and harimo sure it's time to return aswell.

I am 31 weeks now, where does the time go. And yes started showing very early. Having weekly scans as fluid is measuring low and they need to check that its not decreasing anymore. Baby still a good size and growing so not too worried but still need to be seen regularly. Might bring section date forward from the 28th June but docs prefer baby stays in until 38 weeks. But every week things may change. Can't believe our babies will be 3 this month. Ds2 birthday is next week still not sure what we will do but better decide soon.

shonnomanom · 03/05/2011 22:24

Thank you ladies! Im desperate to speak openily but need/want to stay quiet for as long as I can. Finding it incredibly hard to be around my mum as I dont like keeping things from her. Especially with soo much baby talk in the family with my brothers pfb arriving this summer.

mitchell I cant believe your pregnancy is in the last stretch already. Its been very fast. Fingers crossed everything stays well for you and bump until time is up.
How are the home improvements coming along?

We bought dd a 4ft trampoline for our almost completed garden today. Dont think she has realised yet that she needs to wait another 3 weeks until her birthday for it!
Her nursery placement acceptance letter arrived in the post today. I cant believe that we'v got to this stage already!

Sho x

Mitchell81 · 04/05/2011 07:46

Sho, I know what you mean about nursery places starting in august makes them seem so big to be starting nursery.
When will you tell your mom?

Kitchen is all finished and new bathroom us all installed and will be finished being tiled this weekend although we found a leak in the shower which now needs to be sorted. So by the end of this weekend will be finished inside. Still waiting on new doors to be made before they take out front windows. But hopefully that will only take a day.

shonnomanom · 04/05/2011 13:30

Im not sure tbh mitchell, we want to hold off telling anyone until the scan, but doubt we'l get that far. The nausea has started already. boohoo. And iv had a terribly thumping headache most of today - im keeping my fingers crossed its just a headache and not pregnancy related!

Thats great, it sounds like you will have your house back to normal and ready before the baby comes.

baiyu · 21/05/2011 20:55

Ooh sho CONGRATULATIONS! Wonderful news.

Sorry to have been so neglectful of MN thread of late, missing my mum terribly and we've just lost my lovely FIL too. Boys are wonderful but having a bit of a tough year. Neglecting RL pals too so should really get my act together.

Anyway, big hello and hope Sho and mitchell that your pregnancies are going well.

Can not believe our babies are three!

backforaday · 21/05/2011 21:25

Hi guys,

It's Harimo here... Just lurking snooping but had to stop by and wish Sho massive, massive congratulations! I just had to say that here, not on FB. I hope all is going well!

Baiyu - Am so sorry to hear about your FIL, on top of the news about your mum. So very hard for you. I do hope you and your DH are OK... so much stress, especially with the move as well. Glad your boys are providing comfort!

Not really much news here. Life continues apace!

Haribo turned 3 on Tuesday, had a wonderful party. He has quite a speech delay, but seems to have turned a bit of a corner recently (fingers crossed. Touching wood etc)
Mims is just a darling diva. She will be 2 this July (can you BELIEVE!!). She is extremely advanced for her age and constantly has me in fits with her conversations.

Well, that's me... will slope off return to anonimity!

Harimo xx

shonnomanom · 22/05/2011 20:10

Thank You Ladies!!

Baiyu so sorry to hear of your FIL. The kids are great for keeping us going when times are hard. Hope the second half of the year is better for you. (((hugs)))

Hello Harimo ! ! ! Thank you for your special one off visit Grin Hope everything is well at your end of the world x

Iv been relitively ok as far as early pregnancy symptoms go. Although I have been experiencing dizzy spells which I never had with Dd and are not nice in the slightest. Im 8 weeks today and got my scan on June20th, then we'l tell the world.

Sho x

Willabywallaby · 23/06/2011 21:35

Did the scan go ok Sho?

shonnomanom · 24/06/2011 12:18

Hi ww, yes thanks. We have a very active and healthy baby bouncing about in my tummy. Dd was amazed watching the screen. Best tv she's ever seen! EDD stays at New Years Day.
Found out that my friend is due a few days before with her first so we could be in the hospital at the same time. Our OH's can keep each other company over New Years Smile

Willabywallaby · 25/06/2011 07:29

That's great news Sho Grin

So anyone else out there lurking?

Did see Pipoca on a new baby thread!

Not seen hide nor hair of LM on MN or FB, wondered if after lent she didn't come back on.

We're chugging along ok here. Usual work stress and homelife stresses sending me a bit loopy. DS2 is now potty trained. Big boy pants went on the day after his birthday and he picked it up really quickly much to my amazement. He even has some dry Nappies in the morning. On the otherhabd DS1 started to wet the bed and has had 2 day time accidents over the last few weeks. Not sure what's caused it but gone back to taking him to the loo before we go to bed. That in itself is no mean feat, he has a midsleeper bed and is a tall nearly 6 YO. I have to lift him out then get him to walk.

Been doing well on WW very slowly but nearly at goal. The only thing is I need new clothes, especially bras, but never get a chance to get to the shops. And if I buy on line it's tricky to get to the post office. Off to Weymouth to visit friends today so hoping to sneak out to debenhams for the bras.

I hope you're all well and have a great weekend!

shonnomanom · 25/06/2011 09:46

Congrats on your WW success ww! They dont let you do ww whille pregnant so I had to stop. Shall resume the pro-points feb/march time.

Dd has been out of day nappies since October but is still usually wet in the morning. She has also been dummy free since early this year. Also she has stopped demanding her bottle at night. We thought we would never get rid of it!

I havent saw anyone lurking on MN. I think Mitchell is due her baby this week coming.

Enjoy your weekend away

sho x

Mitchell81 · 25/06/2011 20:31

Hey Sho that's wonderful about your scan at least now you can enjoy your pregnancy.
Well done Ww on your weight loss I'm not looking forward to losing the baby weight in afew weeks time.

Yes baby is coming on Monday, looking forward to it but also thinking about recovery with our two very lively boys.
Will keep you informed on here and on fb.

shonnomanom · 27/06/2011 23:35

Thank you Mitchell.

Congrats on your lovely baby boy! Does he have a name yet?
Hope your both keeping well

LuckyLight · 12/07/2011 23:03

HI Guys, soooooooo sorry for my absence. Life is so busy now. I haven't been on here for months, as you know.
I gave FB up for Lent, and actually really enjoyed not being on it. Had a lot more time on my hands, and basically didn't waste valuable time with my children by sitting glued to the laptop. I was much happier. I didn't go back on for ages after Easter. There were some problems at school with some school Mums that didn't invlove me, but there was some bullying type stuff going on before I gave it up for lent. I was also getting friend requests from school Mums who I didn't want to have as friends on FB, but felt awkward cos I would see them every day (IYSWIM). So....I made a decision to go back on FB, but keep it just for family and my close friends who live far away. It means I hardly go on there now, as I literally halved the number of friends I had by deleting half. I'm sorry you girls got deleted, I hope you believe me that it's nothing personal, but I just needed to get FB 'out of my life' but was being hassled by cousins in Zambia and friends in USA to go back on there. It's not about me not wanting you all to see my profile, I just know that if I've not got many friends to comment on stuff, I won't put much on there. I hope that makes sense.

Anyway, DD2 is 3 now. And adorable. She can't wait to go to (Nursery) school in Sept with her big sis.

Work is very busy, both NHS and my hydro business, which is good. I also am in the process of doing a Masters module in Acupuncture, so I've had lots of coursework to do (another reason I don't need the distraction of FB!).

I am so far keeping the weight off, now 9st 10lbs on a good day and a consistent size 10 which I love. Have had to buy a whole new wardrobe (shame).

Great news about the new baby Mitchell, and sho I was super-duper thrilled to hear your news.....congrats! When are you due?

WW well done on the WW! Nearly at goal? well done you!

Would love to type more but I am oh so tired....I've been getting up at 5am to do 15 mile bike rides before I go to work, to keep fit!! (only twice a week).

Anyway, will try not to be so crap from now on.

LM xxx

shonnomanom · 17/07/2011 13:11

Hi lucky Glad to hear your keeping well. 15miles before work!! Thats dedication for you!!
Well done on maintaining your weight loss, envious of shopping for smaller sizes when im buying mat clothes. All for a good cause of course - EDD is Jan1st.

Sho x

backforaday · 19/07/2011 11:41

Hi, Just a quickie from me!

LM - so lovely to hear from you and know why you 'disappeared'. I was actually a bit worried something was wrong or that you had been offended when you cancelled our friendships etc., so it is lovely to have a reason.

In fact, I have followed your lead and reduced the number of friends I have on FB by about a 1/3 and it does feel rather liberating! Though in almost all cases, I have written to explain why. I do really understand your point about politics and bullying - I recently met a woman (child between H&I) who I thought was lovely but has turned into something of a 'player' - to be avoided!!!

I also spend very little time on MN. I do check certain boards, but always anonomously. And I stay very clear of arguments on here... As you say, spending time with our own kids in the first priority!

ANyway, very glad you, your DH and your lovely girls are well.

We are all good. Haribo has (finally!!!) mastered the potty. As has Mims (she is something of a diva!) so my nappy days are at an end.

We are moving in the next few weeks, which I am really looking forward to.

SHO - Glad you are keeping well. Do try to have the baby on 31st Dec - Free parties for life if you manage that, whereas 1st Jan everyone is hungover and skint!! Wink

Mitchell - Hope you and the babes are keeping well.

Fuzzy - not sure if you check this anymore, but hope you are OK.

Who else... WW, Baiyu, Flick, MM, MOcaco...

Well, once again I shall slope off to anonimity!

Harimo xx

pipoca · 18/01/2012 15:45

Hello,

Wow, how things have moved on!

Great to see you Harimo have often thought of you and wondered how you were. Your kids sound lovely!
Baiyu so sorry to hear about your FIL, hope 2012 is an easier year for you. xx
Sho CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow, you must have had the baby by now?
Mitchell, how's it going, did you have a boy or a girl? Name?

Last time I was on this thread I think I was pg? Horrible pg...puked all the way thru. but eventually at 39 wks i had a little girl, Isabel on 14th May 2011. So, she's 8 mo now. It was a very fast birth (2hrs), no pain relief and (weirdly) a great experience, i almost enjoyed it! DS was fast but needed a ventouse and was 4 wks early and only weighed just under 5lbs. isabel was 7lb 7 and bfed like a pro straight away and is still ebf.
DS luuuurves his sister terribly and they are lovely together. He goes to preschool 9-2 Mon to fri and loves it. Potty trained super fast back in April last yr and is speaking well in Spanish and understands English but doesn't really use it.

I've been working from home for a few yrs but with the Spanish economy as it is, I'm going to have to go back to teaching this year, so once Isabel is at nursery in sept I'll be going out to work again. Quite looking forward to it in a way.

Well, better go as I don't even know if anyone's actually reading this! Love to all

xx

Willabywallaby · 18/01/2012 16:50

I was just thinking about this thread and look you posted today!

All ok here, DS2 a little monkey and work rubbish but chugging along.

Willabywallaby · 18/01/2012 16:54

Oh, and congratulations on your bouncing baby girl x

Harmims · 24/01/2012 14:19

Hello from me!

I hardly ever come on to MN these days, but was talking to WW this morning and something made me check - congratulations to Pipoca. Imogen speaks spanish as well as English (she is a real diva!) and loves it.

Haribo is still a dynamo. He is a real babe, but makes for hard work some days!

Sho has a new baby too Grin

Willabywallaby · 24/01/2012 20:39

Come on ladies, post a little news!

DS2 thinks he's too big a boy to wear snappy at night, after 2 wet nights he chose to wear a nappy tonight! Luckily because I've run out I bed mats.

And they're off to school in September, can you believe it?
