Hi girls, thought the old thread was in need of a spring clean, plus, I'm sure if my memory serves me right, one of us had our May-due baby in March (Macoco???) so someone is 2 soon....!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
LuckyLight · 05/02/2011 23:28

sho sorry to hear you are having bedtime issues. I know what you mean about needing your child free time. We had the same with DD2 doing the whole 'needing a wee' thing. It drove me insane. I think we threatened no CBEEBIES or no treats or something.

DD2 is 3 in May. She hasn't napped in the day for at least 6-9 months. Can't remember exactly when she stopped. She goes to bed at 7pm, and usually is asleep within 5 mins, unless she's mucking us about. We 'lift' her for a wee at 11pm, then she wakes up about 7:30am.

Sho and WW - how are you both getting on with weight watchers? I don't get chance to keep up with the thread, it's too busy for me! But, I am keen to know how my fellow FML's are doing????

shonnomanom · 06/02/2011 10:48

Thanks Lucky, dd is slowly getting round to the idea that she isnt winning at night time. We put up the travel cot as a threat and she's only had to go in once.
Last night, I reminded her how she had had a treat from her gran and that getting to watch tv in quiet with a cuppa was my treat. Her reply ' ok mummy, bye bye' then went to sleep. If only everynight it was that easy.

Iv stopped going on the WeightWatchers thread, its far too fast to keep up with.

Saw in the news this morning that Amanda Holden lost another baby again this week. She was 7months pregnant this time. Poor woman, losing 2 babies in the 2nd trimester in the space of 2 years. I cannt begin to imagine her pain right now.

Hope your all well. its been very quiet on her recently.

Sho x

baiyu · 06/02/2011 22:42

Hey all, apologies for being quiet, really appreciate the messages thinking of me. I'm doing alright, still in a bit of a dwam, don't think reality has quite kicked in yet. Boys are really good.

Sho DS hasn't napped in about a year so I'm not really sure. Both DS1 and DS2 are in bed at 7 now which is fab (just the night time wakings after we go to bed that we need to work on!)

Willabywallaby · 10/02/2011 15:55

Afternoon ladies!

Been doing lots of lurking on MN at the moment but not much posting.

I didn't have any thoughts Sho on your bed time fun, but looks like you're back on track?

LM you are my inspiration for WW I have lost 4.5lbs now in 3 weeks so quite pleased. Want to lose about a stone, maybe more if I can.

Baiyu good to hear you're all well.

No real news hear, and I'm on my phone so always difficult to post (that's my excuse anyway!)

Hope you're all having fun x

shonnomanom · 11/02/2011 12:46

Hi

Baiyu glad your boys are being good for you. Keep your chin up.

WW congrats on the weight loss!! I had my 4th weigh in yesterday and so far have lost 8.5lbs.

Dd has been much better at bed time thanks. She seems to be buying the whole 'its time for mummy to get her treat so you need to go to sleep now' converstaion.
She took another growth spurt at around the same time as the sleep refusal so not sure if that was a factor. She's now too big for nearly all her pre christmas clothes.

Supposed to be going into Glasgow tonight for a girly night out but slowly cancelling. Its went from 6 ladies to 3, and 1 of those text this morning to say that she had to take her ds to Yorkhill during the night so she's not sure if she can come.

Willabywallaby · 11/02/2011 18:05

Hope you get your night out sho. I'm using all my weeklies on wine Wine cheers!
Well done for your loss that's great.

Happy weekend to all x

LuckyLight · 13/02/2011 00:22

Well done WW and sho on your weight losses. I am really struggling to lose the last 2 lbs I need to get my WW gold membership. I'm 10 stone Smile. I am still sticking to the diet although have the odd 'blow out' day when I just think 'sod it!'. I am exercising a lot, 4-5 times a week. Either spin, shred or swim. I am really happy with what I have achieved. I am a comfortable size 10, i.e. went shopping last week and everything I bought was a size 10, but I want to lose the 2 extra lbs to get the gold membership, honestly, it's like pulling teeth!!!! Will keep going though!!

Willabywallaby · 13/02/2011 08:14

Well done LM you've done brilliantly to get to a size 10. I know I'll never get less than a 12. When I was clinically depressed at 21 and 8.5 stone I was still a 12. But that's my goal to be able to be a comfortable 12. I want to lose a stone which makes my goal the same as yours, but not sure it'll be enough to get into a 12. I've had a bad weekend with food and need to be good now til wed. Was planning to do M&S valentines meal, but only 7 weekly points left Sad.

Maybe be really strict this week and it'll just shift that last 2lb? Or change what you eat? Good luck, you know you'll get there in the end. Quite Envy of your shopping trip, hopefully that'll be me in a few months Grin

LuckyLight · 13/02/2011 13:46

Thanks for the support WW. I will do it!!
Need to be a bit more consistently stricter, IYSWIM.

I am really really chuffed that you say I am your inspiration for doing it Grin.

How you doin Sho?? Happy Birthday!!

Mitchell how your feeling? How far gone are you now? Due date?

Baiyu Hope you are doing OK and enjoying living in (lovely) Cheltenham?

Happy Valentines Day all for tomorrow. A quiet meal in for us. With lots of Wine Grin

shonnomanom · 14/02/2011 10:58

Hi
Thanks for the Birthday message Lucky

I have completely blown all my weekly points and then some this weekend! Had a girls night out on Friday night and went to a LOVELY Italian for dinner then hit the pubs and even a club. I must admit that until Friday night I never ever gave much thought to my age. But I felt OLD in that nightclub. It didnt help that the dj kept playing music from when I was in highschool!

Then yesterday, my Mum took DD for the day and DP and I went 10pin bowling. Then lunch at Frankie&Bennys.

So I need to be exceptionally good until Thursday in order to not have put on any weight.

lucky there is woman at my ww wi class that was also struggling to at the end to those the last few lbs. She (not on the advice of ww) started doing the Points system for a week then went back on the ProPoints. It was enough to change her eating habits and helped her start to lose again.

Its the February school holidays here just now. And ofcourse its puring down! Got a few days off and back to work (for an 11hour shift) on Wednesday.

Hope everyone is well
Sho x

LuckyLight · 19/02/2011 16:02

Thanks Sho. Lost another half lb this week so still losing, albeit slowly. Now 9st 12.5lbs!

However, I did just eat 10 custard creams at a kids birthday party Shock.

shonnomanom · 20/02/2011 10:41

Slow and steady wins the race Lucky, keep up the good work.
Iv stayed the same the last 2 weeks. But considering how much I over indulged at my birthday I was really expecting to have put on this week for sure. Phew!

There is a 4bedroom cottage on the outsirts of my home-village went up for sale. We would need a substantial lotto win to afford it. But that hasnt stopped me from mentally dressing the house for us living there! Its fun to dream isnt it...

Mitchell81 · 28/02/2011 07:17

Hello, gone very quiet on here. I am 22 weeks today and will have section between 21 and 28 June at 38/39 weeks.

Ds2 toilet training has gone very well and mostly dry at nights too. Very pleased that it all well well and hardly any wet clothes. Already dont need to worry when we leave the house if I must take dry clothes for him as doesn't have accidents.

Sho: house sounds lovely. We were just talking last night and even though our location of this house is perfect as backs onto the kids school playing fields and has 4 bedrooms the access to the garden is rubbish and no dining kitchen. So getting a builder round this week to quote on taking out our front window and replacing with French doors gives us access to garden and moving 2 Walls and a bathroom will give us a dining kitchen and huge bathroom. Fingers crossed doesn't cost too much and no planning required would mean we could be living in a more comfortable house., sorry just waffling now. I wonder now how quickly it can be done as would like it done tomorrow!!!!! Very impatient

shonnomanom · 28/02/2011 12:59

Very impressed with the dry nights mitchell. Dd's nappy is huge every morning so I think we are a long way off having dry nights.

Hopefully you will have your house the way you want it before junior arrives.

Cant believe your past half way already, its went very fast. My sil and my cousins wife have both announced this week that they are due the last week of August. Whats the chances of that!

Hope everyone is well

Willabywallaby · 06/03/2011 07:35

Morning ladies,

How are we all this weekend? Just wanted to say hello really.

Pleased all is going well with your bump Mitchell.

How's the WW sho? I was away at ILs over half term so put on a pound, but expected to. Hoping to lose it at least this week. Although we did go out for a birthday meal on Friday night. On the other hand I had Friday off work so went spinning in the morning, and went spinning Sat morning so hoping it had some effect on the Friday night meal.

Congrats to LM for reaching target you look great Grin.

Baiyu how's things?

Pipoca are you still out there with bump?

Hope you other lurkers are having fun x

shonnomanom · 06/03/2011 12:15

Sho x

Ps,
Can you remember last summer I told you all about my brothers friends that had their baby 3 months early while travelling around Australia? Well, baby Adam has been given he all clear to fly home to Scotland. They arrive home on Tuesday this week, so everyone is very excited! His parents left here with my brother and gf 2&half years ago, so life back in Bonnie Scotland, with a baby, is going to be a bit of a culture shock.

Willabywallaby · 11/03/2011 07:30

[Nosy emoticon] Mitchell did you find out what flavour baby you have? I thought it looked like a boy from the pics. Grin

Mitchell81 · 11/03/2011 14:32

Yes we are having a boy Grin very excited. Could of saved a fortune had I kept any baby clothes Hmm

Willabywallaby · 11/03/2011 19:17

I still have all of mine...

shonnomanom · 11/03/2011 21:24

Congrats on your new boy Mitchell!

baiyu · 15/03/2011 20:54

Lovely news Mitchell, more boys are great! Baby clothes going spare here too but might not be worth the postage!

Lucky well done on all that weight loss, fantastic. I'm trying to slim down too but haven't been very strict so far. Would love to lose the tummy once and for all now we;ve finished having babies.

WW huge well done to you and Sho too. Inspirational ladies!

I'm doing okay thanks for all the asking. Well, kinda, having a horrid time with my Dad too (legal rubbish not health!) so finding that a bit tough. DS1 and DS2 are both wonderful though so that makes every day worthwhile.

LuckyLight · 22/03/2011 12:56

Hello all,

I think most of you know I have given up facebook for lent so not been on there for a couple of weeks. Actually finding it quite liberating! Much more time on my hands!

Thanks for the congrats on reaching goal. I feel...amazing! I'm maintaining well, gonnna go and get weighed next week...for free cos now I am a gold member - woo-hoo!! WW and Sho...keep going!!! and well done so far. WW I'm impressed with all the spinning!

Sho don't worry too much about DDs nappy being really full of wee in the morning. My DD1 was like that, and when she turned 3 yrs old, I just decided to do her at night with no nappy. She had about 2 weeks of occasional bed wetting. I think she knew when she had a nappy on and would just go. DD2 has never wee'd in her nightime nappy, and therefore was dry at night within a couple of weeks of daytime potty training. Hope that helps.

Things still 'happy busy' here...ny business is doing really well and I've had to start a Monday session too now due to demand!

Mitchell congrats on the boy news! I wouldn't know what to do with a willy.......Grin.

Had an eventful weekend, superbro came up to stay, and within half an hour of mucking about with the girls in the garden had managed to dislocate his shoulder....OUCH!! packed him off to A&E and he's now unable to drive for 6 weeks!!! Thankfully M&D are coming to get him tomorrow!

Can't think of any other news...oh apart from DD2 now needing glasses all the time. She's got them now and looks really really cute! Will put some photos on FB when I am back on there.

I got a new smartphone at the weekend, so will have t'internet at my fingertips! It's an HTC phone.
Is there a MUMSNET app??

Look after yourselves all of you,

Lucky XXX

Willabywallaby · 22/03/2011 14:29

Hello Lucky did wonder if you were also giving up MN for lent. There's mobile MN but I prefer to see it as is on computer.

Had morning off today so did go spinning but not been tracking last few days. Have still been watching what I eat. Will start again tomorrow, on weigh in day!

baiyu hope you get the legal stuff sorted soon.

shonnomanom · 26/03/2011 10:33

Good to see some action on the thread again! Smile

ww & lucky i was really naughty on 2 weeks ago but still managed to lose 3lbs! It caught up with me this week when I put on 3.5lbs!! ouch! Bit annoyed that Iv went from needing to lose 1lbs to get my stone to now having to lose 4.5lbs. I dont regret it though, as a very drunken conversation with my friends bf that weekend resulted in him proposing to her! Good times!

Dd is dry after her daytime naps its just at night that she wears the nappy. She'l dry up soon enough.
We were at the dentist last week and the dentist asked if DD has a dummy. She said that the dummy was affecting the grow of the teeth and that it would cause problems later if we didnt get rid of it soon. Dd's insisors(sp?) are growing longer than her front teeth. Dp jokes that she's a vampire! When we got home dd put her dummy in the bin and has now been 8 days and nights with out it!! She still asks for it but then tells you that she put it in the bin because it was hurting her teeth.

Glad your business is doing so well lucky
baiyu hope you get everything sorted out ok

Im having so much fun helping my sis-in-law getting organised for her baby coming in August. I love baby shopping!!

Sho x

Willabywallaby · 26/03/2011 11:22

Morning all!

Sat on the train to London to visit a pregnant friend who lives in Warwick. iPhones were made for this!

Well done Sho on your loss of weight and dummy. Both my boys live their thumbs but only Ds2 looks like it's going to cause a problem. I used to refer to an orthodontist that was so mean to thumb suckers making teenage girls cry etc. IMO it's like a drug for children and at least with a dummy you can throw it away, but we shouldn't underestimate how hard it is for them.

Weight loss here went well this week I got my 5%, lost 9.5lbs in total. Not sure what my goal weight is since I've never discussed it with my leader. I want to get into a size 12 and judging from my clothes I've still got a long way to go....

Hope you all have a fun weekend. Not sure where the sun's gone it was glorious in Poole when I left.
