Summer's here and our babes show their butts

  • thread title? Although personally speaking I am encouraging Sabela NOT to potty train ATM. No more bending than is strictly necessary until this baby is out!
simpson · 02/06/2010 09:37

OOOh JKS - keep us posted

Filly - yay on flump not being too big. M was 8lbs 1oz and was easier to give birth to than J who was 7lbs 3ozs.

Dance class cancelled yesterday anyway although I would only have been able to watch I think...

We learn a dance routine by adding a few steps each week so if I missed a week I would not know what was going on iyswim.

Picnic lunch today in the park

Back still bad Off to buy more pain killers....

willsurvivethis · 02/06/2010 12:57

JKS I was wrong - Nathan is actually a size 20 - that translates as a 4. Is that big or small?

Thing is kids feet grow quickly when they start walking so that is delayed with Nathan.

LaTrucha · 02/06/2010 13:58

Have you done the test yet JKS

JustKeepSwimming · 02/06/2010 14:06

test negative, AF arrived today, no probs, just a warning to get organised with pre-natal vitamins, etc.

off out to have a nose a friends house, she just moved in recently and i haven't seen it yet

willsurvivethis · 02/06/2010 14:19

Aw shame JKS - but I'm sure it will happen soon x

fillybuster · 02/06/2010 20:24

Flump is firmly head down and currently nicely front to back. But it could all go horribly wrong as apparently 3rd dcs don't actually engage until labour starts and they suspect my pelvis might tilt or something which caused the b2b stuff with DD and DS. But we'll see

JKS - plenty of time for that...get going with the vitamins first!

Just had both dcs feet measured today: T has finally grown from 21 to 22 (approx 4 to 5) after 12 months ...at least her £45 boots got good use in the end!!....and DS is now a size 31 (11.5!!!! ) at the tender age of 4.9. Eek...his feet are going to be utterly enormous! Actually, DS is going to be enormous...it feels like I only just replaced his entire wardrobe with age 4-5 stuff and he's already outgrown all of it - went to Asda today and got him a load of 5-6 tshirts but couldn't find any decent summer weight hoody/zippy things so will head to Tesco tomorrow. There's def a reason I don't spend lots of money on his clobber!

Also took both dcs to toysrus to buy their presents to the baby...and got out with minimal whinge factor (they knew we were going to the new park next! )....DS has selected a purple and yellow stuffed dragon and Tamara chose a floppy dog...won't be much room in the crib for the baby !

OK, in the middle of making bread so need to head off to do some slapping around...

LaTrucha · 02/06/2010 21:33

Evening all,

I've just ordered a playhouse and slide for DD and was terribly pleased wiht myself as they are cheap. Now I realise that the slide doesn't have proper handles so maybe not easy to use and the playhouse is probably too small to be good.

What do you think? Have I been silly?

willsurvivethis · 02/06/2010 21:55

LaT Nathan has that slide and loves it - you don't need handles - it's only a short way to the bottom

fillybuster · 02/06/2010 21:59

They both look fab - we've got a similar slide and both dcs were completely fine on it T would be deeply jealous of the playhouse - I can't get something like that because A wouldn't be able to fit, but T would have hours of fun!

LaTrucha · 02/06/2010 22:10

Thanks for that. The playhouse is three sided, which is what I hadn't quite realised. But then again, our garden is tiny!

simpson · 02/06/2010 23:46

slide looks fab and the top bits look like they stick out enough to hold onto at the top iyswim

Think you have got a bargain

Sorry on AF JKS

LOL at gifts for new baby Filly at A being so big as J an absolute titch He has worn the same uniform all the way through reception But at least I have my moneys worth!!

Fingers X pain killers doing trick and not in so much pain today although am now a little sun burnt

WST - after speaking to you on FB got invited back to park to meet other friend and got more sun

simpson · 02/06/2010 23:54

forgot to say got phone call from RL friend to meet us in park so quickly packed stuff for DC but forgot nappy for DD and of course get to park and play footie for 5mins they she says she has done a poo so changed her and had no nappy put on her

So just left her bare bummed in leggings, she held wee for over and hr in park saying "no wee wee mummy" get home put her on potty (she had drunk lots of water at park) and she was most proud saying "I big girl" but no wee

Just turned away for 2 mins to load dishwasher and she says "mummy I cold" and she had got off potty to wee in leggings So M totally not ready

mixedmamameansbusiness · 03/06/2010 12:11

Hello all...

Have been feeling really under the weather. Seem to constantly have a headache and feel nauseous (tests done and ruled out preg. and also got AF on Monday). Have been to the doctors who thinks I may suffer with chronic migraines and when I think I have tension headaches they are actually migrianes. I am off work once every 4-6 weeks so not going down well, but had some blood tests today so fingers crossed they explain.

Still have had my IUD replaced as my swabs showed up Thrush so have to treat that first which means still a possiblity of maybe getting pregnant. I know I said we decided against it, but from one day to the next I just cant seem to make up my mind... I just keep wondering if I will regret not doing it.

Lily - congrats on the job.... soooopleased for you.

E feet are 7.5 and S (4.4) is 9.5.

Both are doing brilliantly. E speaking is just incredible to what S was at his age, but he is missing nursery loads. He goes down for his nap after lunch and as soon as he wakes up he wants to go and pick S up. We take him to the park and stuff and plays for about a min and then just comes and sits down.

E is in his big boy bed now, but there is an awful lot of messing about going on with S and him at bed time and they both insisted on top and tail the other night. He goes in nicely in the daytime but at night he just doesnt want to get in, but I must be stronger about making him and just putting him back.

I have read everything but still feeling crap so just happy anniversary (belatedly) to JKS, IWST always good to see you posting, LaT and Filly just thinking of you both.

JKS - I work on Tuesday's so I will miss another meet up, maybe I can swing a change in days.

gingeme · 03/06/2010 21:03

Hi all its me quickly Who is coming on Tuesday? I am what time is it and is it still at Coram Fields? Thanks ladies.....

simpson · 03/06/2010 21:31

I am coming on tuesday too

My dad is picking J up from school so I don't have to panic if trains slow....

JustKeepSwimming · 03/06/2010 21:48

Off to bed in a bit but was planning to get 9.09 from here, arrives Fenchurch St 10.13, then prob get a taxi as all tube options are complicated.
Normally take about 20-30mins in cab, so 10.30 onwards.

Still yes to Corams Fields if that's ok? (hope weather is ok...) as plenty of place to run about, playgrounds, etc. and near Gosh for me & H.

We have to go into hosp for 2pm so that's loads of time.
Any thoughts?

fillybuster · 03/06/2010 22:35

I'm hoping to come on Tues but not with children...JKS, I've got your number so will call if they don't let me in but I suspect that the hugely stupidly enormously expectant-any-day-now woman won't show up too high on the threat radar...hey, I could always threaten to stand there until I've produced a baby to bring in with me!!

Where is the entrance? I'd like to avoid walking all the way round if possible!!!

Assuming Flump holds off making an appearance, then I should be there around 11/11.30 and won't be rushing off anywhere - my only other commitment is tea at 3pm at the British Library

Looking forward to seeing Gingeme, JKS and (finally!!!!) meeting Simpson - anyone else coming? Where's Nicky?

simpson · 04/06/2010 11:44

I need an idiots guide on how to get there

Will be coming by tube.

gingeme · 04/06/2010 15:12

Right I'll aim for 11 then. Where shall we meet? By the sand pit? Thats in the gate to the right if I rememeber rightly
Yes where is Nicky?
