Good news is all is quiet from upstairs and M cannot climb out of new cot!!!

Lilyloo · 20/05/2010 21:40

Any new bags M very keen on putting things in bags at the minute

LaTrucha · 20/05/2010 22:16

Sabela would have put it under the sofa or behind a curtain.

fillybuster · 20/05/2010 22:29

Gosh, it all got very busy on here all of a sudden, after weeks of being quiet-ish

Well done J on being dry at night...any joy on red ted Simpson? Tamara keeps on losing 'baby' at the moment and being heartbroken - I think I've found an identical baby doll on ebay and have asked whether they've got more than one in stock so I can put one away for future emergencies!

I'd so love to see you all, but 8th June is less than a week before my EDD and I just can't see how I will manage to get Tamara into Russell Square by that point. Having said that, I'll be off work with full time childcare that day, so if I have an appointment at UCH anyway (which is quite likely at this rate) can I please come along as a with-child but childless person? Please?

Welcome back MrsMac and Lilyloo. Sorry, utterly brain dead tonight, finishing work tomorrow and have been writing handover notes all day....terrified I'm going to go into labour before everything gets finished! Even though I should be more worried about my notable lack of hospital bag and baby stuff....!!

LaTrucha · 21/05/2010 14:02

HI all -

Any luck on red ted?

Dreadful night last night as Sabela had wind. I know it really bothers her, but there isn;t anything I can do for her when she has it. I was also determined not to take her nto bed, partly because she actually didn't need to be kept an eye on and partly because I knew she would fall asleep with me which is incredibly annoying as if she can fall asleep with me she could also fall asleep without me. She was awake between 12.30 and 2.30, then at 6.30, at which point I confess I just shut the door on her as I knew i had to be up at 7.30 for midwife appointment. Struggled in to said appointment to be told it wasn't really necessary as I'd had all the tests last week. Sigh....

DH home tonight but sounds shattered, has to go back next week. Poor thing has only three weeks to submit the final draft of his book and he hasn't even opened the computer file yet.

I am now going to lie down!

gingeme · 21/05/2010 16:23

Simpson ofcourse the original will turn up when you get a new one that is the law of sod!Do you have a magazine rack? We had a cup of Georges go missing and we looked in all the usual places then the unusual places. Didn't find it so gave up. I went to get the tv paper out and there it was
Nothing going on here at the mo.
DH and I are going to a 40th birthday tonight. I'm looking forward to going out but feel so tired think I'd rather go to bed now . I'm sure once I start getting ready I'll feel a bit more awake.
Have a good weekend all. x

simpson · 21/05/2010 16:42

Hi all

No sign of red ted yet although tbh I have given up...

My main worry now is M's poos which have got bad again

Cannot think what could be causing it this time unless its her new formula milk??

I hope its not but have just lost the will to live putting yet more poo covered clothes in the washing machine and have made appt with GP for next wk. Not sure if there is much she can do though

simpson · 22/05/2010 19:31

red teddy has appeared!!! Although don't tell Molly its a new one

managed to get a red man united teddy on Amazon which looks close enough....

H has also bought one so will post it over from Ireland....

My mum found a full tin of M's old formula milk in her cupboard and she dropped it off this morning so M back on her old milk, lets see if it makes a difference

Took kids to a birthday party today which had an entertainer with animals etc so DCs had a whale of a time and I got to natter with the other mums

gingeme · 24/05/2010 12:48

Good afternoon ladies. I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine
Not alot going on here today realy. Boys are having their nap while DH is making us a prawn salad for our lunch.
George asked for his nappy to be taken off yesterday afternoon and spent about 3 hours walking around the flat in the nude. He went and sat on the toilet (with my help) a couple of times too. Not even considering training him yet though because he did a wee on Saturday with no nappy and cried and cried and cried
I have just bought myself 3 summer dresses. Considering the last time I wore a dress was when I was pg with George

simpson · 24/05/2010 18:33

JKS - just to let you know I am fine for 8th June

My mum is going to pick J up from school.

WST - I know its still some time away but should be in Leicester on 16th July if you fancy a meet up??

Its Alex's graduation ceremony from uni (which I can't go to as will have M with me)so will probably have a couple of hours free, then will meet up with family etc afterwards for meal...

JustKeepSwimming · 24/05/2010 20:08

Yey Simps

G are you coming too?
Nicky - are you about??

Gingeme - well done on dress shopping, i have this every year that i have no nice summer clothes, but i don't think i'd be comfortable in most 'fashionable' things so i muddle through, again. But not sure i see myself in dresses either.

All ok here, T managed to get a full bottle of Fairy liquid and mix it with water in their water table thingie in the garden, funny really

Have been waking H after a couple of hours nap in the afternoon now, hoping he can break the long sleep habit he's got, he's not overly impressed so far. But at bedtime he is mucking about for ages keeping T awake, so need to do something.

Have my brother & his wife coming tomorrow for a few days, should be fun.

LaTrucha · 24/05/2010 20:20

JKS - I'm pretty much the same when it comes to summer clothes. I'm determined to buy myself a couple of nice things once the baby is here this time. Last time I wore clothes I disliked for ages. I want a maxi dress, but for one thing I can't find a reasonably priced bf one and for another I think I'm probably too old for one.

Gingeme - Yes, well done. I love dresses. Sabela sat on the potty for ages yesterday (DH has been encouraging her; I have not. I want nothing to do with potty training until I'm no longer pg) then got up, looked very worried and did the most enormous wee all over the floor. I didn't think she was big enough to hold all that!

Nice day here. Had friends round in the morning who not only bought lunch with them but also fobbed off my crazy brother who was ringing every 20 minutes all morning, telling him I was in bed and they were baby sitting. Ace. He didn't start ringing again until 7pm.

Lilyloo · 24/05/2010 20:35

Evening all phew have just about recovered from busy weekend.
L was fab in her dancing shows and H loooked v smart at his confirmation.
M slept for 3 hours this afternoon recovering but is still up now

Not quite as warm here today but still sunny , hope it holds as we off camping for first trip of year on Fri.

Gingeme M has sat on toilet couple of times too , but no where near training.

Simps yeah about red ted!

Not heard from job so presume i haven't got it

gingeme · 24/05/2010 21:21

JKS I shall give it my best shot for the 8th
Typical though I have bought the dresses but the weather is about to cool down

MrsMcJnr · 24/05/2010 22:41

bookmarking x

LaTrucha · 25/05/2010 12:10

Sabela is going through a phase of, when she decides on an activity, wanting me to get all the bits, set it up and the do it myself. Sigh. So just now she said she wanted to draw so I gave her crayons and paper. She sorted the colours for a while and then shouted for me to come and draw. If I had come to draw she would either just sat and watched me or walked off to find the next thing.

ditto building sandcastles, ditto walking baby in the pushchair, ditto everything today.

I'm not playing along!

Big sigh.

LaTrucha · 25/05/2010 12:13

I will play with her, of course but it's when it's just me playing and her not doing anything that I hate.

gingeme · 25/05/2010 12:23

LaT this to shall pass
Both George and Edward do this to me lots but I always make them put the stuff away to make them learn that just because they didn't play with it it doesn't mean they don't have to put it away iyswim?
Just got back from playgroup and George was in a real cheeky mood today had lots of fun.
What size \re your lo's feet? George is a size 9 and everyone says thats big is it?

LaTrucha · 25/05/2010 14:15

Sabela has titchy feet - she's still only a 4.5. I know a younger boy who has size 9s though, so George is not alone.

Thank god she's gone down for a nap. I've been sick as a dog all day and Sabela has been grumpy. The neighbour heard me telling her off, so I must have been shouting. Hmm.

We do putting away too. At least it's something for her to do! And I get to sit down AND feel like I'm being a good mummy, so it's a bonus!

simpson · 25/05/2010 15:45

Gingeme - J is a size 9 and he is 5 in Aug.

M has just gone into a 5

tempers frayed today due to heat

J very pleased as I have treated him to DVD of "Where the wild things are"

gingeme · 25/05/2010 18:41

Simpson I thought that film was a bit pants tbh
How are you feeling LaT ?
I have been on Ebay this afternoon. I'm bidding on a couple of pirate outfits for the boys for my party and have won one for the big boys
I have been googling for a princess dress for me and have found a gorgeous Cinderella dress with tiara and white gloves for roughly £105 Im going to get it after our holiday in August

LaTrucha · 25/05/2010 20:24

Grumpy baby all afternoon too plus acid indigestion. Delightful. Well, we got through.

Sabela wanted me to wrap her in a blanket like a baby after her bath and for some reason we got talking about why DH and I wanted children (she asked me - in Sabela style - why we were having another baby). I said something like having children made me and DH happy and she asked me to repeat it about a thousand times.

I think she's feeling insecure with all my tiredness and pregnancy.

I'm trying to get her ready for the new baby, but now I'm not sure I'm ready myself. I'm getting a bit nervous at everything changing again! There's only a month to go!

Simpson - has the new red teddy gone dwon well?

Gingeme - now, I want to see a photo of you as Cinders for sure!

JKS, WST, Lilyloo big waves!

Lilyloo · 25/05/2010 20:59

LaT wow it will soon be all systems go , take my hat off to you for spending so much time playing with S. I tend to have to bookmark toddler groups to make sure M gets some quality play time with me

Gingeme wow must be a lovely dress M has really big feet , she in a 7 ( H has big feet too so guess she takes after him ) Shame about the weather , dry here but much colder today Bet it pouring by Fri , hate putting tent up in rain ! L got a pirate day at school Fri , she most put out at having to dress like a boy

Simps let me know how the film goes mine not seen that!

Well good news from me i got the job They want me to start after half term seems ages since i worked now will be really nervous!!
