simpson · 15/05/2010 09:51

glad you had a good day Ange

Good to see you Mrs Mcjnr Well done with the potty training, keep meaning to try M but things get in the way

Can you beleive it, it has been a whole year (yesterday) since H left??

Dcs beside themselves with excitment this morning as they each received a postcard from him

Going out for lunch today thn hoping to tackle the garden...

All my RL friends laugh at me as my garden needs some work and I am busy tending my virtual garden/farm on FB

gingeme · 15/05/2010 17:06

Ha ha ha filly don't think so love
Wow thats gone quick Simpson. Does it seem like a year ?
Crazy ladies thinking of potty training already I'll probably start with George in the summer at my Mums.
Hi MrsMcJnr I hate it when my Mum stays too things just don't seem to get done as we sit with tea and chat
Edward has gone the oppsite way now from being constipated to having the runs We were out earlier getting a few more decorations for my party and he poohed in his pants and trousers so we made a swift trip home and plonked him in the shower. He has a nappy on now which is a bit strange as he hasn't worn a nappy in about 10 months.
Well better think about about getting some dinner I guess. xx

simpson · 16/05/2010 20:55

Ahhhhh Joshua totally point blank refused to put his pull up on before bed....

Have a feeling his bed is going to soaking tomorrow morning

gingeme · 17/05/2010 11:03

How was he Simpson? And Molly without red teddy?
All well here except George scratched the pad of his foot this morning on a toy and wouldn't put his foot down so hobbled about a bit. I put a plaster on for him but he still hobbled a bit. I just hope pre school fun takes his mind off it
DH bought me a voucher for my birthday last year for a Abhyanga massage and I'm going to get it done this afternoon. Just a little nervous as to how much I need to get undressed iyswim? You would have thought after 5 babies and tats and piercings I wold be used to all that by now

fillybuster · 17/05/2010 12:03

Enjoy the massage Gingeme...is Edward over the runs now? How long till the party?

How did J do in the end, Simpson? A has been consistently dry at night for about 12 months (they're the same age, iirc), and the deal is that he's allowed to wear pants to bed but if he wets his bed more than 1 night in the week (thankfully he hasn't at all for a few months now, touch wood), he had to wear pull-ups until they've been dry every morning for a week. Then he can go back to pants. It has taken absolutely ages to get to the point where he is dependable, tho, whilst Tamara has been dry at night (altho is in pullups because she can't take herself to the toilet yet) since as soon as she started toilet training. Boys and girls....

Nice weekend here, although T had a high temp for a few days at the end of last week (no other symptons) and A suddenly developed the same thing on Sat lunchtime when we were out with friends. Kept him indoors and dosed up for the rest of the weekend and he was back to normal in time for school this morning....but I'm not sure he'll be going to swimming lessons after school today!

Very full of baby, very ready to stop being pregnant. Had a mad panic hormonal stress rush last night as I realised how not ready we are for the arrival of #3 and spent a few hours frantically trying to empty out all the cupboards, drawers etc in the nursery...in theory it should all be empty now Tamara has moved in with A but actually there was loads of stuff left, and I can now see how dirty everything is. Will have to deal with it once I finish work at the end of this week....!

LaTrucha · 17/05/2010 20:41

Hi all,

Has anyone got that Galt Jack-in-the-box frog? Well, it's bascially a boxthat a frog jumps out of. Sabela and I play a game where we knock on the top, saying 'Knock, knock, who's there?' and whichever toy we've put in amazes us by jumping out.

Today, Sabela lifted my top and did 'Knock knock' on my tummy

I think we're all getting impatient here! If only it were that simple to get the baby out!

LaTrucha · 17/05/2010 20:46

Oh yes. I've been meanign to ask, how long do you leave a rash before taking DC to the GP? Sabela has had quite a raised red rash on her leg/hip for well over a week now. It's definitely not her eczema and I've tried various creams we have for eczema / sore skin on it and it hasn't helped at all.

It doesn't seem to be bothering her, but then she's not a very complainy child so you wouldn't necessarily know.

MrsMcJnr · 17/05/2010 21:07

It has actually been over a month since I posted time just goes by so fast doesn?t it? We started potty training a couple of weeks ago and X is doing really well. There was a poo incident yesterday though ? ugggggggggh!

Gingeme ? how are all of the boys now? Recovered from the chickenpox? they all got it didn?t they? You have done such a great job on the weight loss; I must buckle down again now that MIL has gone. Put on 4 pounds recently that was a very brave piercing, it hurts enough when DD bites me I just can?t imagine what it must have felt like to have done

Simspon ? that?s great that M loves nursery so far, I am hoping to send X in September, he?ll definitely be ready and I think he?ll love it, am excited for him. Also great that M has been discharged by the paed. My DD has patches of eczema, having had no experience with it myself I just don?t know where to start in terms of excluding things from her (and my) diet. I am using E45 but it doesn?t do much. Glad to hear H?s visit was ok.

LaT ? very useful tips for eczema cream, thank you! Your comments about Sabela liking Bob the Builder and following your builder about made me laugh, Xavier is exactly the
same, he gets his little yellow hat on and everything! I?d say the first few months of having a baby and a toddler are definitely easier than being heavily pregnant, it gets harder as the baby gets more active but it?s gradual so like boiling a frog and you don?t notice it as much. I think part of the worry when you are pregnant is the fear of the unknown. That said I am certainly feeling the fact that I haven?t had more than 3 hours sleep a night for 11 months ? when will this baby start sleeping?! Wow, you must be coming up for 35 weeks, not long now, how are you feeling? My kids do get very excited when Daddy comes home. I try to have fed them by then and then we all go for a walk before the bedtime routine begins. Daniel is a good name as works in both languages. I have a suggestion for you? Xavier! or Nicolas?

JKS ? nope, he?s not tried climbing over the balcony again thankfully but am still watching him like a hawk. Hope both boys are feeling much better now. DH wants to try for No3 at the end of the year, I think I need more time (and some sleep!) How are you feeling now? Sounded nasty.

Mixedmama ? your DH sounds like mine about No3, I?d rather wait a year or two and then have 2 more close together again but DH isn?t at all sure about that and wants to be no older than 37 (he is 36 now!). The way I see it we still have 4/5 good years ? I am 36 too.

Filly ? sorry to hear that you are in pain, lets hope the baby isn?t that big. They told me Aaliyah would be and she was only 3kgs. I had her at home on the bathroom floor in an hour you know?!

Angechica ? pampering sounded fab.

Iwillsurvive ? hey there hon

Hello to everyone else too

gingeme · 18/05/2010 20:42

Evening ladies.
Yes thankyou Edward is just fine now and no longer has the runs
My massage was somewaht a little more personal than I would have imagined I wasn't wearing much more than a pair of paper knickers, well they just about covered my modesty Alot of oil was used and it did feel fab. I did look a bit like a chip when it was finnished then I had a shower, a sauna, a steam then another shower. I came out looking very rosy It was a nice one off !!!

Lilyloo · 18/05/2010 21:21

Evening all , sorry have been AWOL not really got back to netting since OZ.
Have been busy getting on with RL and thankfully it is all good if not very busy.
Went for my job interview today , fingers x.
Busy weekend coming up as L in dancing show all weekend , H got football presentation and tournament and his confitmation on Sunday. Then it is my bf birthday on Fri and my nephew on Sun hence my lack of time to come here.

Hope you are all well and am determined to stick around and catch up with you all

JustKeepSwimming · 18/05/2010 21:46

Hi all i've not been much good at keeping up either recently, but determined to get organised with stuff now - a bit like spring cleaning, just a bit late, lol!
even tidied my earrings & necklaces today !!

London-ish people, I am due at GOSH again with H in June and wondered if anyone wanted to come and meet us in Coram's Fields for lunch maybe?
I'm 90% sure it's the 22nd June and our appt is 'from 2' so was thinking maybe meet mid-morning, picnic lunch then head over to the hosp. Any thoughts?
Hopefully no injuries this time hey Nicky?

Anyway, must try and get to bed.

JustKeepSwimming · 19/05/2010 13:35

OK, I checked my diary, the 22nd is a local appt with doc/hosp here.

We are actually going to GOSH on the 8th June.

Can anyone make that date?

simpson · 19/05/2010 14:58

JKS - I will be able to come as long as I can get either my mum or dad to pick J up from school. Don't want to be panicking to get back

What is the nearest tube station???

willsurvivethis · 19/05/2010 19:18

Was so hoping to come too but the only affordable way to travel involves a total of four hours on the train on my own with Nathan - it's too much at the moment. There are trains to London that only take an hour but they cost a minimum of £60 return...

JustKeepSwimming · 19/05/2010 20:30

Gutted WST There will be more appts

Simps - yey, nearest tube is Russell Square. And i have to be in the hosp at 2pm so could be ok for school run depending how long it takes you to get home.

Lovely afternoon at the beach with T & friends. On the wine now waiting for DH to get home.

gingeme · 19/05/2010 21:15

Well isn't that funny JKS I was talking to DH last night about another meet up ay Coram Fields!! If he can get the day off George and I will be there in a flash, well a tube lol.
Hi everyone else.
Everything crossed for your interview Lillyloo keep us posted?

simpson · 20/05/2010 09:56

have conceded defeat and M is going back in a cot tonight

Well not the same one as before as she is now in J's old cot bed so will just put sides up iyswim. My RL friend is coming round to help later as its impossible for one person to do....

Last night she went to bed at 7pm ish and was running around house (dispite me reurning her countless times) till 11pm.

At one point she was in my room emptying my jewellry box

The night before she was running around at 1am, 4am and started the day at 6am And this is all in her sleeping bag

so enough is enough!!! Poor J has gone to school today very tired, bless him...

The good news though is J is now completely dry at night After refusing to wear pull up at night, he has not wet the bed once

LaTrucha · 20/05/2010 13:02

Sounds like the best option Simpson. What a minx she's being! Well done to J, though. I gues you can expect him to be in a horrible mmod when he comes back from school. Hope it goes ok.

JKS - I'd love to come, and was actually planning a trip to Essex, but my Dad is vetoing it ATM as he doesn't want me to strain myself at this point in pg. I'm very upset about it but trying to keep calm and carry on.

Well, we've been indoors for over a week now and still coughing. DD's lovely nursery rang me and told me to beware as there is not only yet another bug going round (the third nasty one recently) but also chicken pox. So, I am feeling like I am not the mother of a pfb but a thoroughly sensible mummy for keeping DD off.

Super-duper tired now. I'm hoping it's the cough still. DH away in Liverpool with DB. DH is exhausted and it looks like DB is too ill for anything to be resolved. Massive redundancies about to be announced at his uni though, so probably not long.

We are now the proud owners of our first car - a 10 year old Vauxhall astra. It's sitting in the drive. I keep catching it out of the corner of my eye and thinking someone has come to visit.

simpson · 20/05/2010 18:28

guys, I need help!!!!

M has lost red teddy (again)

So I have had enough and need to find one almost identical (well maybe 3!!)

Pic of red teddy on FB with M.

Any ideas???

LaTrucha · 20/05/2010 19:03

Sorry Simpson - I can't see it well enough. I don't suppose you have any idea of the brand?

Has she gone to bed without it?

JustKeepSwimming · 20/05/2010 19:14

LaT - that's a shame but i do understand you're Dad's pov.

Simps - bad luck re cot & yes what does the label say? even if it's not a recognised brand we can look it up and see a best match.

Though, tip for the day, do NOT google 'red teddy' with young DC nearby....

simpson · 20/05/2010 19:21

PMSL at googling red teddy

Don't know what label it is sorry...

It has J's name on front too although she can't read it obv

Is just a beanie red teddy I guess 10 or 12inches.

If I ever find it again I will remember to look at label

H's family sent it over from ireland when J was born....

Lilyloo · 20/05/2010 20:56

Simps oh no , not on fb but if you get name will try to help.
Sorry to hear M is being pain at sleep time. I am finding M is not ready for nap until 2 ish but the late sleep means she stays up later with us in the evening , it is a pain.

JKS glad it is not just me

Iwill £60 hope you can make a meet up soon.

LaT congrats on car rubbish about bugs , lots going round here too.

Thanks Ginge , still waiting to hear!!

All geared up for mad busy weekend. Just gott bits for H confirmation cake today.
Who has started potty training now ?

JustKeepSwimming · 20/05/2010 21:03

Hi Lily

SImps - anything like: this?

simpson · 20/05/2010 21:07

JKS - almost identical (in M's eyes) but for white feet, they need to be red...

Have just had yet another hunt round house but still no sign.

Red teddy was last seen by fruit bowl this morning....
