I was just thinking of starting a new thread today!

William likes pink too, though does say it's for girls. He loves watching the tinkerbelle dvds too. I am about to embark upon making dd a ballet skirt - I have yards of pink tulle which she chose and I won't be surprised if William asks for one too!

Adam loves Tinkerbell too and Barbie is his favourite character from the new Toy Story movie. And he has no older sister influencing him! But he does like lots of "boy" toys too like hot wheels.

We have created a monster I am afraid with computer games. At the weekend Adam can play on the Wii, my DH now has an iphone that he likes to play on and I sometimes let him play Cbeebies games on the laptop but he has now just become completely obsessed with games, constantly asking to go on one or the other and having a paddy when we say no. Need a strategy to deal with it! Don't want him to become a zombie aged 3!

Hi all, T is at pre school so I have a sec to catch up. hope all is well with everyone.

Happy New Year. I haven't caught up properly with the other thread so please forgive if I have missed any major new.

I finally feel like I have emerged from the post-natal fug. P is beginning to sleep a bit longer now and T has two afternoons in nursery so I am no longer feeling deranged. up to Christmas was such a struggle.

Patch is a little poppet, very smiley and just starting to come out out with some very cute giggily noises.

Greedy - We bought T a camera for christmas, it also has games on it and he is obsessed with them.

He's not a massive fan of pink though, somewhere along the line he has picked up that it is "for girls". He does, however love a nice hairslide.

loopy - haven't forgotten about the sling. It will be winging it's way back to you soon X

Just briefly catching up and bookmarking :)

Does anyone elses LOs hold on to their poos for days on end? DD has decided to hold on to her poo for 3 days now and finally gave in (with a lot of persuasion from me last night) to actually sit on the loo long enough for "Mr Poo Poo Ploppy Pants" (dont ask ) to emerge. She only did two little lumps but then did quite a few more during her sleep in her pull ups and then back on the loo again as it'd woken her up.

It's not the first time she's been bunged up either.

I do feel for her, bless her. Think i read on the other thread about grapes loosening the stools so i might get some in the hope that it'll help to keep her more regular.

I'm feeling rubbish. My friend who is 11 weeks pg had some spotting this morning so I took her to epu (closed but we got in through a door that wasn't locked) they only see women on referral from gp so took her to gp. Gp listened for heartbeat but warned she probably wouldn't hear anything so early on, and couldn't hear anything. Her dh is on his way back from Scotland, and I went back to work. Headteacher sent me home as I was pretty tearful when I went in, I guess because I was looking after my friend and being the strong one.
From what she says it sounds like the spotting I had when pg with dd, but I just feel so helpless. She has a scan tomorrow, please think of her x

It's been a weird day. Another friend had to take her dd to hospital today after a fall so we had her other dd here. Everything is fine now.
Yet another friend had her long awaited baby today after suffering miscarriage in March so am thrilled for her. Have been sobbing tears of joy and despair today.
I live round the corner from the friend I was with today, and will be there for her all the way. Her dh is away during the week most weeks so I look out for her anyhow. Thanks for your thoughts xx

Well, it's bad news from my friend . I went round this evening and she seemed pretty good, all things considered. Her dh is back for the week and he looked worse than she did, sort of lost

I don't think that's going to be an option sadly. Scan showed 3 weeks past conception foetus, though friend was 11 weeks pg. She was taken to hospital with heavy bleeding this morning.
Thank you loopy; perhaps selfishly having you here has helped me.

In the last hour I've found out that one off dd's friends has lost her mum to cancer this week. she was my age.

YANBU at all. Some weeks are just shit (understatement in this case) from start to finish. So sorry for both your friends.

Loopy - a calm weekend here has definitely helped. My sister gets back from Australia on Wednesday, my dad is getting over his latest ms relapse and it's a new week. Hope the consultant appt went in the way you wanted it to. I can't remember if you have the option of a mw led unit, which I found more homely than the delivery suite, though I ended up in labour ward both times anyway. I watch one born every minute looking for the rooms I gave birth in - what a saddo!
