BOTT I was wondering about your 'midwife' status on fb, I had a feeling they were pretty rare in the USA. Sounds like a good idea to avoid an intervention-happy hospital!

ponymum bulbs were actually on Gardeners World today, it's on BBC I-Player if you want some tips.

becaroo · 19/09/2009 10:09

Wow, things move fast on here!!!

Many congrats hopefully and to you too BOTT Lovely news.

Happy b day to all the babies that I have missed....not been on for a while due to general not having a spare moment in the day and not being well...off to iron ds1's karate suit now...

xx

I am so excited by the dinosaur cake I have just made - I'm already hassling DP to take pics to put on my profile!

Party this afternoon with all the ILs. Eeeek

Debs75 · 19/09/2009 14:06

Happy birthday to the other babies and congrats BOTT.

Robyn is enjoying her birthday, she is having a nap atm so I can clean up ready for her little tea party. I made a cake and it looks ok. DD1 got all excited and helped me ice it, then ate loads of the leftover fondant.
She hasn't got many presents to open which is good as DS would be stealing them from her.

Have been reminiscing all day as to what we were doing this time last year and I probably am as tired now as I felt last year.

Debs75 · 19/09/2009 14:09

Congratulations on getting engaged Hopefully.
And how romantic, tell your dp to talk to my dp

Ponymum · 19/09/2009 20:48

Happy birthday Robyn!

Farewell ladies. I am off to France for 2 weeks. Have fun while I'm gone.

digitalgirl · 19/09/2009 21:19

CarrieBo · 19/09/2009 21:44

Oh my, that cake is goooood hopefully!!. Our tigger creation...well its not going so well!

Kagey · 19/09/2009 22:17

Phew I have now got my feet up and resting after a full on day. Erin had two parties today; one for baby friends, and then later for family and friends. Both went surprisingly well and Erin coped really well with all the people around.

We are shattered though, and DH gone to bed as he is not feeling well either.

Anyway happy birthday to all those babies who have celebrated over the last couple of days too

well done Hopefully the cake looks ace!

ILikeToQuickstepItTangoIt · 20/09/2009 08:38

Fab cake Hopefully.

I used a shaped tin as I am a bit challenged in the baking department

Have a fab holiday Ponymum.

I have got X-factor on Sky+ so I can watch it in peace without dh bitching. I'm v excited. How will we know who your sister is DG ? Any clues? What she's wearing?singing?

MoonlightMcKenzie · 20/09/2009 19:07

updiffed?

I'm still searching for my muffing tin!

Lovely news BOTT and Hopefully congratulations.

Having 2 children is brilliant, especially when they are close together. It's like having a practice run and then getting to do it all properly. I know that sounds bad, but what I'm trying to say is that in some ways you enjoy no.2 more because you are more relaxed and have put all the solutions in place before they even arrive.

MoonlightMcKenzie · 20/09/2009 19:09

And also it's great to be on a new antenatal thread as a 'know-it-all'!

MoonlightMcKenzie · 20/09/2009 19:09

BOTT Don't forget to tell them all about the nipple cheese!

Sunshinemambo · 20/09/2009 19:41

Hey Digi saw the reviews on Facebook - they were fantastic.

digitalgirl · 20/09/2009 19:48

Are you all watching x factor? Her name is Graziella!

digitalgirl · 20/09/2009 19:50

She'll be singing Alicia Keys I ain't got nothing. There's a possibility she'll start off rapping. She's wearing a vest and high waisted black and White skirt.

ILikeToQuickstepItTangoIt · 20/09/2009 19:52

I'm watching!! DH is my slave as I CANNOT leave the living room until she's been on.

What a lovely name she's got btw

MoonlightMcKenzie · 20/09/2009 19:56

I'm watching. How could I not?

ILikeToQuickstepItTangoIt · 20/09/2009 20:07

I saw her, I saw her.

She was fab!

Was that you jumping around like a loon with Dermot?

Kagey · 20/09/2009 20:12

I am so nosey I had to watch - she was brilliant

digitalgirl · 20/09/2009 20:12

haha! How bloody short was that clip? Didn't really get the full effect of her voice. Oh well, plenty of time for that I suppose!

I wasn't there that day, wasn't quite taking the whole X factor thing seriously and couldn't be bothered to hang around for hours and hours carrying a grumpy DS.

MoonlightMcKenzie · 20/09/2009 20:13

I saw her too. Couldn't hear a single note because ds had chosen that moment to play the mouthorgan, but the judges seemed to like her and she is lovely to look at a very natural. The public usually like people like that.

ILikeToQuickstepItTangoIt · 20/09/2009 20:20

I'm so excited for her Digi. What an amazing experience.

I wondered if it was you, as I was sure you had never mentioned that you had stood within licking distance of Dermot
