She was amazing! And cheeky and smiley - looking forward to hearing her sing again.

Haven't met Dermot, did get to meet Holly briefly though. She's lovely.

digitalgirl · 20/09/2009 20:28

For those not on FB - here's a link to a little article on her. DG PR machine in full spin!

DebiTheScot · 20/09/2009 20:45

oooo, exciting. I've sky+d it but have not been allowed near the telly buttons all weekend as the Super League playoffs have been on all weekend.
Oh saying that, full time and dh is off to do the dishes.
Back with my review in a min...

MoonlightMcKenzie · 20/09/2009 20:45

I expect they need to save some surprises for throughout the competition. No point in playing all their cards at the audition stage, or people will lose interest.

Is Holly really lovely, she comes across to me as a silly bint!

Debs75 · 20/09/2009 21:10

Robyn loved her birthday tea party yesterday. My sis and her little girl and my Mum came round. We had a little picnic tea and then some cake. Will pop a pic on when I get chance.

Have been feeling rubbish all weekend, really bad backache, headache, bloated. Had to dash to the loo during the party I felt that bad. Was astarting to feel a bit worried then last night AF made an appearance.
The 3rd one since Robyn was born. I can't believe I have to put up with this every month, I would rather get pregnant again

digitalgirl · 20/09/2009 21:20

moonlight couldn't say what she's really like, but she's been kind to my sis so she's alright by me.

debs Happy Birthday Robyn.

DH is in Italy for the next four nights. I have successfully put DS to bed this evening all by myself (he normally does the final goodnight). I am also out of the running for getting pg this month as he has conveniently booked this business trip over my fertile period. Bet you all wanted to know that.

Pacita · 20/09/2009 21:25

Hold on, who's holly?

OP posts:
MoonlightMcKenzie · 20/09/2009 21:33

exactly pacita

Happy birthday Robyn

DebiTheScot · 20/09/2009 21:58

well that was a bit more than a min. I was trying to get something on ebay to end at about 9pm next Sunday (best time apparantly but I failed, it's only just on) and my mum phoned too.

Anyway, she was really good, what a beautiful voice. Shame they didn't show her whole song though. Am I right in thinking though that they made her form a group? Maybe that's why they didn't show much of her on her own.

bringonthetrumpets · 21/09/2009 02:37

hahahahah moonlight !! Surprisingly a lot of the others on the ante-natal thread I'm on, already have other DC. But you are right, things are going so much more smoothly already. Little cramps where like first time around and now it's just sort of "meh". I love that they are going to be close in age, a little scared of all the work that's to come with having two... but I've got you ladies to help me through

Really sad I can't see your sis digi !! I'll have to scan youtube for the clips from x-factor.

izzybiz · 21/09/2009 10:22

Morning guys!

I know I never post here anymore but I do lurk now and again, I just wanted to pop back and say George is one today!

One year ago today my SIL posted on our antenatal thread that I had had a 10lb 10oz baby boy!! I now have a 29lb 1 year old!

Just had to come back and say what an amazing year!

Happy Birthday to all our 1 year olds (I see a few on FB!) And happy birthday in advance to all those who are going to be one in the next couple of weeks!
Em,
xxxxx

ILikeToQuickstepItTangoIt · 21/09/2009 19:17

Happy Birthday George!

What a whopper he was (not that I can talk with ds being 9lb 11oz!)

Where is everyone? Hello

MoonlightMcKenzie · 21/09/2009 19:29

Hello. DS got his 'official' diagnosis of autism today. A bit that they told us the process was going to take 3 hours in total and it took nearly 6, despite everyone quite convinced he had autism before they even started.

Very odd.

Happy Birthday George

ILikeToQuickstepItTangoIt · 21/09/2009 19:36

You alright Starlight?

Did you have to sit in on the 6 hour meeting?

CarrieBo · 21/09/2009 19:58

Evening all, sorry you've had a harrowing day starlight.

Ds's party was brilliant yesterday. The dedication was a bit random but it was great having so many friends celebrate with us. Dh did an amazing job of the tigger cake, and there was glorious sunshine for our BBQ.

DG your sis was brilliant, I look forward to seeing her again, my friends are getting excited that we 'know' someone in it and are therefore rooting for someone for once, rather than not really caring!

Cake photo on my profile - all the praise goes to dh, I merely made the sponge cake and the icing, he crafted it all together!

MoonlightMcKenzie · 21/09/2009 20:10

No the has a secret pre-meeting and then sent us out for 30 mins in the middle.

I'm exhausted. They did a thorough job and we got some quantitive stuff which was what I asked for, and despite them protesting that he was too young etc, BUT now we have concrete data that shows him to be function at a 1yr 5months level which isn't much more advanced than dd.

However, they didn't tell us much that we didn't know already, so it is a relief that a necessary evil is now over. We got our diagnosis, now we can start fighting for services.

Sounds like a good party carrie

ILikeToQuickstepItTangoIt · 21/09/2009 20:22

Great cake Carrie, I'm glad all went well for you yesterday. Your dd's curls are gorgeous!

Onwards and upwards eh Starlight? I wish it wasn't such a struggle for you to get the help and support you need.

ninja · 21/09/2009 21:19

Happy Birthday George

Glad to hear that you've finally got the diagnosis Starlight, I hope that it starts getting easier with the authorities

One year ago I had pains all night (which then stopped. I'm getting quite excited about M's birthday on Wednesday.

foxytocin · 21/09/2009 21:23

happy birth day Babies!

DD2 is still waiting for her birthday. She is currently asleep on me as

a. she is teething a canine and is suffering.

b. I cannot face getting off my arse to soothe her anymore as she is bound to wake up screaming in pain if left on her own.

so sweet cuddling her though. every bit of her is so scrumptious.

foxytocin · 21/09/2009 21:25

i haven't kept up with the thread as with Dh working away all week and having a FT job and no one to help with the morning and evening routines with the 2 girls. I just can't MN too. normally i am asleep by half 7 / 8.

Meglet · 21/09/2009 21:54

Happy Birthday george!

Hope you're ok this evening moonlight

ILikeToQuickstepItTangoIt · 22/09/2009 07:16

Sounds like bloody hard work Foxy. Will dh be working away for awhile?

I really take my hat off to you ladies who cope alone.

foxytocin · 22/09/2009 07:47

unfortunately yes. I really don't know how long my batteries can do it.

one day at a time, i s'pose.

ninja · 22/09/2009 10:16

wow Foxy that sounds tough. I'll try and think of you when I'm starting to moan about DH not being to helpful
