PONYMUM your muffin recipe is the recipe of the week I need to make them.

yes it is weird that the bold's not fixed yet. And annoying. Makes my eyes hurt.

Happy Bithday T.

DebiTheScot · 17/09/2009 15:30

oops, should have read the next page before I posted. Happy Birthday to the other 17th babies too.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 17/09/2009 15:53

That sounds lovely ponymum, lots of lovely fresh air.

I'm planning to make Ponymum's muffins at the weekend. I made feta and olive ones yesterday and they were bloody lovely.

DebiTheScot · 17/09/2009 16:33

the bold problem is being fixed

Hopefully · 17/09/2009 20:55

Oooooohhhhhhh DP proposed! At about the same time T was born. We're engaged!

digitalgirl · 17/09/2009 21:00

OMG Hopefully!!!!! Congratulations

digitalgirl · 17/09/2009 21:12

and of course - Happy Birthday T and welcome to the club sunshinemummy

We are also off on hols - Cyprus - week after next. Planning on stocking up on a bumper pack of Organix crisps to feed DS on the flight. Salright iss organic!

Think molars are moving beneath the gums, we've had a few days of irritability, lack of appetite and insistent night wakings. Last night was ok though. So am glad that two nights of being picked up (despite the 'rules') doesn't lead to a lifetime of 3am pick ups.

Meglet · 17/09/2009 21:33

wooooo! Congrats hopefully.

Were you expecting it?!!!

Arcadie · 17/09/2009 21:44

Hi Ponymum - just tried your muffins. Oh my! Can I marry you? Or at the very least, maybe have you come and cook regularly....? Please? Woooooowww.

Ponymum · 17/09/2009 22:04

Oh my god!! The responsibiliteee!!! Now I am really worried that crowds of MNers will try the recipe and send angry complaints to MNHQ that it doesn't work and I should be banned from all further postings.

But I see I have one strange groupie already. carriebo, is arcadie ok or do I need to call security?

hopefully I am so excited for you!! Congratulations to you both, and wishing you many happy years of wedded bliss. Can I buy a hat yet?

Arcadie · 17/09/2009 22:20

ahem strange groupie!?

bringonthetrumpets · 17/09/2009 22:27

Hey ladies, the former Mellabella here

Happy Birthday to all the September 08 babies!!! Haven't been posting due to a very active young guy and a big move to across the pond... phew it's been a while! James is 1 year on Saturday, where has the year gone??

ps. tis true! 12 weeks preg. today and due April Fool's Day with babe number 2!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 18/09/2009 07:44

Many congratulations BOTT! What lovely news

And many congratulations Hopefully. How romantic!!!!!!!!

Ponymum · 18/09/2009 09:35

Congratulations bringonthemellabella! How exciting. We knew there must be some updiffed ones lurking around!

Pacita · 18/09/2009 13:42

Many congratulations, hopefully! How romantic of your future DH. And of course, happy birhtday T and the rest of the babies.

I am itching to try those muffins, but D does not eat eggs yet. Don't worry, I've bookmarked the link and will post complaints if required, ponymum

Can we also have that lovely sounding recipe for feta muffins? They sound lush, and there is a turkish shop around here that sells lovely chunks of feta! I'm hoping perhaps the feta muffins will make my Greek DP propose

OP posts:
Pacita · 18/09/2009 13:43

And big congrats, BOTT. I am scared to think how I would manage with two, despite the fact that it makes me terribly broody to think of soft and tiny new borns...

OP posts:
DebiTheScot · 18/09/2009 16:49

Congratulations BOTT- you'll have to keep us posted on how you're doing, will be interesting to hear how the care you get in the States compares to here.

and congratulations hopefully too. That was very romantic of him to propose on T's birthday. How did he do it? Was it a shock?

Have made it to the end of the week . It's hard work going to work!

ILikeToQuickstepItTangoIt · 18/09/2009 17:14

I don't know how people have time to do paid work Although I guess not sitting here on MN while ds feeds himself would be a start

I'll put the feta and olive recipe on MN and post the link

If they make your dp propose I get to be Maid of Honour!

ILikeToQuickstepItTangoIt · 18/09/2009 17:37

olive and feta muffin recipe here

Pacita · 18/09/2009 18:10

LOL ILTQST, that's a deal!

OP posts:
bringonthetrumpets · 18/09/2009 18:19

Aww thanks ladies Maybe it's because it's the second and I've been through it all before... or... I haven't felt the babe yet but it does not seem real at all!

A huge congrats to Hopefully!! Let us know when you set the date!

Debi I've decided to go the "hippy route" (as it would be seen here in the States anyway) and have a homebirth with a midwife (who is absolutely lovely!). My friends and family all think I'm completely mad but I definitely do not want unnecessary drugs or intervention in a hospital.

Hopefully · 18/09/2009 19:27

debi complete shock - we've vaguely talked about it before, but in a 'some years hence' sort of way. He just got down on one knee at about the time T was born, and that was that! We've got an appointment with the lovely designer who did my one other piece of jewellery on Monday to get a ring sorted. I feel all girly, looking at rings and things! Most unlike me.

Sunshinemambo · 18/09/2009 20:33

Congrats Hopefully - how wonderful!

CarrieBo · 18/09/2009 20:34

Wow congratulations hopefully! That is soooo thoughtful! And BOTT!! My dd was due on April Fool's day - you'll have the same age gap between yours as I do, its been absolutely brilliant and starlight has the same age gap between hers too.

ponymum, Arcadie was my birth partner, no need to call securtiy! (although I'm amused by the strange groupie comment ). She made the muffins for the dedication coz she knew I was inviting you!

Oh man there's so much to do...the cake is in the oven so that we can decorate it tomorrow night in readiness for sunday morning. I need to print out a picture of tigger so we can trace it on the cake. Just trying to finish deciding how to do the service and what songs we want. I've had a totally exhausing week as my parents are up so we've done daytrips every day with a few nights out too. Its gonna take me a long time to recover, and it'll get worse before it gets better! Got 21 adults and 10 kids here for lunch on sunday...and our house isn't that big!

Ponymum · 18/09/2009 20:44

Well, you know. Every rock-star baker needs a groupie or two! I am rather proud of mine!
