Congrats sunshinemummy Sounds like you've had loads of celebrations.

Sunshinemummy · 16/09/2009 14:34

I've put some on but they're a but blurry as Mumsnet won't accept them as they were saved in the damera.

Ponymum · 16/09/2009 17:26

Gorgeous!! I know it's blurry but you look very happy.

Debs75 · 16/09/2009 17:54

Big congrats Sunshine

Am still feeding Robyn to get her to sleep and sometimes upto 3 times a night. It is a right PITA as i know she can sleep through if she wants. We have been trying to drop a bf during the day but am now going to just carry on as before and hope that helps.

plusonemore · 16/09/2009 19:15

hi everyone! havn't been able to catch up on the whole thread but happy birthday to those babes who are 1 already! Not much to report here, I went back to work last week, its OK so far...
Anyway, will aim to stay on here a bit more from now on

CarrieBo · 16/09/2009 19:56

facebooky people am I right that mellabella is pg again?

hello everyone! Been at the beach today and discovered something else ds will happily pick up and shove into his mouth...sand! Oh boy we got cold today but it was a lovely time and nothing a good cuppa couldn't sort out.

He's still not crawling, but can get from sitting onto his tummy, spin round, then push back up to sitting, so in a quite inefficient way can move across a floor, but still no need for stairgates! 9 days til he turns 1...

CarrieBo · 16/09/2009 19:57

And welcome back sunshine, good to see you again, congratulations on the marriage!!

ninja · 16/09/2009 20:05

ponymum can you get dried baby food that can have hot water/milk added? Just wondered if this was a possibility.

If you cook food surely it'll be alright to open it and then seal again? Also maybe the foal could share some of your yummy aeroplane food

Conrats Sunshine

Kagey · 16/09/2009 20:12

Congratulations Sunshine!

This time last year I was all huffy that nothing was happening when I should have been grateful for my last night of uninterupted sleep for a long time

Happy birthday babies for this week!!!

Ponymum · 16/09/2009 20:31

ninja yes I wondered about dried stuff too. But then I also thought after I posted that all the BLW mummies would be rolling their eyes and wondering why I'm not giving her chilli prawns or peanut butter sandwiches. I'll be brave. I have to keep telling myself she is 1 now! Thinking about it now, she doesn't need to have mush for her lunch. She loves bread and cheese and broccoli. She'll be fine.

Pacita · 16/09/2009 20:55

Many congratulations on your wedding, sunshinemummy, it looks like fun. Your holidays make me green with envy, given that mine turned into a bit of disaster, with sick baby and all.

ponymum in my recent airplane hopping I have taken organix biscuits, tahini sandwiches (big hit), fruit, ella's kitchen screw top pouches (which you can taste if requested and will screw back on and keep) and formula powder that just needs hot water. Normally air hostesses are kind enough to fill the bottle with boiled water. (Tip, get half boiled water, add powder, fill up the required amount with cold so that baby can have it right away without getting burned).

digi I'm watching x-factor this week whatever happens. I normally feed Diego first thing in the morning, afternoon and bed time. Have not fed at night for ages, unless he's sick and needs resettling. Fingers crossed, he's back to sleeping through the night.

Yes she is , she wrote on my wall, did you see it?

congrats to sunshine

Debie my dh done the go ape thing at alice holt in march, he is really scared of heights but did enjoyed it, he ached for days after.

I'm still feeding f in the morning and at night, more on the weekends when i'm not so busy lol.

CarrieBo · 16/09/2009 21:39

ponymum when we took dd on a plane we took jars of food, they picked one at random and made us taste it. We'd never used jars before and we thought they were grim, as did dd who refused to eat it! If we had to do it with ds I'd take the Ella's pouches as they have handy screw on lids. Also lots of finger food as already suggested. We took cartons of formula and lots of empty sterlised bottles. Again they made us open one carton at random, so we poured it into a bottle and that was the one we gave dd at take off, as if they're sucking then their ears pop which stops the pain associated with pressure change. HTH. I was going to invite you to ds's dedication but you won't be here, have a wonderful holiday anyway!

Ponymum · 16/09/2009 21:51

Thanks, this is all really helpful. Carriebo that's so nice that you thought of that! It would have been lovely to come, but hope you have a lovely time (without me, even!).

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 17/09/2009 08:59

Congratulations Sunshine

Whereabouts in France are you going Ponymum?

Happy Birthday T

Hopefully - do you have to pick Sloe's after the first frost?

Sunshinemummy · 17/09/2009 10:39

Re. plan food - we took made up bottles for Effy - DH had to taste it yuk! We didn't take anything else, apart from some fruit, as she can eat most things, although the special jars they gave us on the Virgin flight out to New York all had dairy in them so she ended up with bread and fruit!

Thanks for all the congrats. It was fab. Especially the wedding in Bermuda where DS was a pageboy. That was amazing - they hired a whole island.

Oh forgot to mention Effy is up and walking and being a total terror!

Hopefully · 17/09/2009 10:40

ILTMIMI I think after the first frost is ideal, but I don't think they'll last until then round here! Although my cousin has plenty, so we'll get some there next weekend.

This was me exactly a year ago (on phone to DP): "No, I'm fine, I'm sure it's not labour, that bloody spicy chorizo pizza's just given me stomach ache". Two hours later I emphatically changed my mind!

Hopefully · 17/09/2009 10:40

Ooh, and congrats Sunshine!

Meglet · 17/09/2009 10:59

......

Ponymum · 17/09/2009 12:31

ILTMIMI We're going to the French alps, flying into Geneva and picking up a rental car. The plan is to do lots of Heidi-style mountain walking with DD in the backpack, and then DH and I will both do lots of writing in the evenings. That's the plan anyway. It will probably end up with one or all of us sick, no walking, eating nothing but tartiflette and fondue, and returning a stone heavier!

Gardening types please tell me - do I need to plant my bulbs before I go? We're back 5 October. Also remind me again, which way is the right way up?

Hopefully · 17/09/2009 13:48

Meglet it's today - the only good thing about the whole thing was the quick labour!

Meglet · 17/09/2009 14:12

yay! Happy Birthday to T, Hopefully.

ponymum the fat bit of the bulb goes at the bottom with the pointy bit at the top. I'm not sure when you should plant, but IIRC they did it on gardeners world the other week. I assume they need to be done before the ground gets too hard and frozen.

Ponymum · 17/09/2009 14:17

Hopefully - happy birthday to T!

Thanks Meglet. I'll get planting.

Ponymum · 17/09/2009 14:20

Oh, and does anyone else think it's weird that they haven't fixed this bold thingy yet?

Debs75 · 17/09/2009 14:40

Happy Birthday Minkersmum Hopefully Imoscarsmum and Charity Girl.
This time last year I was sat in hospital bored out of my mind wanting to go home whilst bouncing on a bloody bouncy ball.
